To Ashley: This may not not be Bidwells fault. I am using an online lender and they pushed hard for me to use a mobile notary. I resisted and my estimated closing costs for title immediately dropped. I am sure title companies want to be able to work with on line lenders. Just guessing,, they may get a portion of the fee charged to the borrower--but mobile notaries probably make it easier for the lender who doesnt have to deal with paper. Ive used Bidwell before: very professional, very pleasant.

The owner is charging a mobile notary fee of $200.00 to the buyers. I dont know about the sellers.The owner has decided not to open the company up again to the public until every employee has a chance to be fully vaccinated. This is admirable, I really do appreciate that.However, you should know up front that if you work with them and you are a buyer, you will be charged a $200.00 fee at close until their office is back open and they currently have no estimated date of opening. I did complain and was told there was nothing they could do.I do not think the owner should be charging this fee to the buyers and I want people to know about it ahead of time. We were not told about it till the last minute.We sold our previous home through a separate title company last October, during a higher tier of restriction. They had plexiglass partitions and were scheduling private appointments for signings. It felt very safe and precautions were thorough.

Catherine and her team at Bidwell Title & Escrow went above and beyond to take care of my husband and I during our home buying process. From our first visit we were impressed with the professional and friendly attitudes shared by everyone in the office. Our escrow process was a bit unusual for reasons outside of their control, but Catherine and her team didn’t skip a beat in making sure we were taken care of and ready to proceed to the next step whenever it became available. They always kept open and clear communication throughout the entire process so we were never left in the dark as to what was going on. Catherine even went as far as to stay overtime on a Friday afternoon to make sure my husband and I could wrap up our final documents in order to get into our new home as soon as possible. It was extremely evident that Catherine and her team care deeply about their clients and will go to great lengths to ensure they are taken care of. Without them, I am not sure we would have made it through the escrow process- I absolutely cannot recommend them enough.

This review will summarize our closing experience that just happened last week.The owner Trevor is extremely humble and has built a really special company. My wife and I recently lost our home due to the Camp Fire tragedy and we were forced into finding a new place to live. That coupled with the holidays made us wonder if it was even possible at this time. Thankfully, our lender was incredibly fast and Bidwell Title also was equally amazing.Tracie began the process with us and Diana was available to takeover during Tracies previously scheduled vacation. We didnt get to work with Tracie as much but they were both great. The rest of this review will pertain specifically to the impressive work that Diana did.Without going into too many details, we ran into a bit of a snag that had nothing to do with Diana or Bidwell Title and Diana ended up staying after hours and missing some Christmas shopping to ensure we were able to sign docs early the next morning. Plus, Diana also lost her home due to the Camp Fire tragedy and was having to commute from Red Bluff each day (over an hour away). Had Diana not done what she did, I doubt we would have closed on time which could have resulted in us losing the home due to the extreme buying demand that has been created due to the Paradise fire.Furthermore, Diana made sure to drive back early the next morning so that everyone could sign in time to get docs to the lender fast enough for them to meet that Friday funding deadline. Seriously, Diana went so far above and beyond and Bidwell Title is such a great company. They have so many people working there and are a really neat group of people. Even a number of their employees dressed up for the holidays and had Christmas decorations all over. Even the on hold music was festive.In conclusion, if youre in need of escrow services, Bidwell Title is on top of it. Thank you so much for helping my family during our time of need. The worst. Incompetent and or under staff. Hung up our sale by a week. Treated it like it was contingent and it was not. went past extension and it took three days before we even got a date for another extension to be put in place. never even looked at file until three days before close. Did nt have follow up to items that needed to come into them .They honestly dont care if things close on time or not. Very unprofessional . Use Timos or Placercounty Title. Ive sold two houses (one for 1.4 million) and bought two and now Im selling two and this last sale was the worst experience Ive ever gone thru. Be Warned!
