I recently held my baby shower at Free Range Office and absolutely LOVED the space. Hosting the shower in my small apartment was not an option and a restaurant just didnt fit into our budget. After an extensive Google search I came across FRO. While its original intention is to support the needs of workers and entrepreneurs I could see how the owners expanded their scope of services to include advertising the space as a great place to host some what larger gathers.After going to FRO for a walk through I knew it was perfect! My 50 guest would be able to enjoy themselves in the spacious, sunny, clean space and there was even the extra bonus of a small outdoor balcony.The day of my baby shower everything went PERFECT. I was able to minimally decorate, the FRO staff helped with table and chair set and break down, my guests were all able to easily park on the street and everyone absolutely loved the space. So many people asked me how I found it.I would recommend FRO if you are hosting a small gathering, meeting, book club etc. In addition to it being a beautiful space I also have to mention how reasonably priced it was to host my event there. Obviously getting ready for baby can be very expensive. FRO gave me the opportunity host family and friends in a classy way without breaking the bank.Great concept! Id definitely recommend checking it out!

Free Range Office is a great co-working space that feels especially comfortable and home-y. The little patio, variety of tables and seating, and friendly staff keep me coming back every week! Plus, it has 2 phone booths available for use so you can take your meetings and calls in private.Quite frankly, one of the biggest perks of the space is that the people here are genuinely friendly and collaborative. We actually talk with each other and meet each other. I have yet to have the same experience at other co-working spaces.

We recently had our baby shower at Free Range Office. It was a larger event with 80 men, women and children. Prior to the event, we appreciated how prompt, friendly and supportive Liane and the entire Free Range Office staff were responding to our inquiries and allowing us to see the space multiple times. During the event, we appreciated the event staff who helped with set up and clean up. All of our guests greatly complimented the beautiful space and inquired about how they too could rent the space. We had a wonderful time!

Edit: turns out there was just some technical difficulties with the buzzer that day-- walk-ins during normal business hours are fine. I was informed that theres a back entrance on the second floor, should you be having trouble with the buzzer.-----Original Post:Just a heads up-- this place *may* be appointment only-- I tried to head there as a walk-in but no one came to the door or answered the phone. The Free Range Staff were very responsive and supportive when we hosted a poetry workshop on a weekend in their conference room. Everything went smoothly -- no hitches to speak of. Not to mention: the space is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly located. A great fit for us!

I worked here for the past 3 months as I finished writing my dissertation (remotely). It increased my productivity and was a nice break from coffee shops. The space is great with tons of light and I was always able to have my own desk. I frequented the great dining options nearby for lunches. If you need to get out of your home office this is the place!

Great venue and friendly staff. We had all the tools we needed to host our event. Great location in Chicago as well. I will definitely be back next time I plan to host an event.

When you need a quiet space for calls, use free range! I usually depend on coffee shops when Im out and about but the music and grinder are an issue for client calls. Free range was convenient, inexpensive, clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

I work out of my house and am always surprised how productive I am when I work from FREO for a day. Its comfortable and quiet. I have met some interesting people while working from there. I highly recommend it

Free Range Office is a cool, unique, energizing work space to get productive. They offer a full, gourmet kitchen along with free wifi, printer use, and a beautiful conference room with natural light and great space. Friendly work environment and cant beat the location!

Free Range Office is a beautiful space that feels like home. The owner has been generous enough to let us host our Food Tech Meetup there in months past and their conference room has been the perfect setting; not too big, not too small -- its just right.

We booked the space for a staff retreat day but hosted our own instead of paying for their services. The place, IMHO, is just ok. Its a bunch of Ikea furniture in a good location. And you pay for the location. You also could pay for mediocre food or $50 if you want people to be able to bring in food. Its not bad but its not great, especially given the cost. Not to mention that we booked the place for 8:30 to 5:30, so I could set up before the staff arrived at 9 and someone at FRO forgot that we were showing up early. There was no setup time. It all worked out ok but in principle, it could have been better.

Great locally owned coworking space in Wicker Park with a fun vibe, comfortable feel and a nice sense of community. They have a great little patio for afternoon breaks.

Ive worked at a lot of coworking spaces and this one is one of my favorites. Its full of hardworking people, great internet, and friendly staff, but also super casual. Probably the best value for coworking in Chicago, which is why I originally chose to work there. Also, the owner Liane is super friendly and very helpful in getting folks connected at the space. Highly recommend.

Good staff, mostly a nice quiet place to work without being isolated at home.

I have been working at FREO since last July and I love it! The space is cozy, feels like youre right at home. There is definitely a unique feel here, not like other coworking spaces in the area. The other guests and members at the space are always friendly and welcoming here. I would definitely recommend residents in the Chicago area to check out this space for their office or for their next event. I have been fortunate to see events take place here too and Free Range Office always gets nice feedback from guests after they attended an event here. Love this space! Great location too…in walking distance from the CTA blue line, Starbucks, Walgreens and other great shops/restaurants.
