This was my first time coming to this nail salon. Their new salon on 208 W Kinzie, is very clean and modern.I came in for a Deluxe Pedicure and my nail specialist was Julie, she was very professional, the sweetest and let me say did an amazing job on my pedicure. Ive gone to another location in the city for 6 years and always feared to find a new nail specialist for my pedicures, and Julie has definitely surpassed my expectations of this place. Absolutely loved her and have gained a new loyal client. 💛The team is so professional as well. Definitely coming back!

I had gone to another nail salon in river north to get a full set and they totally botched the job!! I was so upset at how bad my nails looked, I walked over to Kinzie Nail Spa and they did an fantastic job at reshaping and repainting my nails!! If you have a full set, go ask for Sara!!! She did an AMAZING job and my nails now look like they should have in the first place. Staff was friendly & tentative! Highly recommend! Oh, and their prices are super reasonable!!

Nice spot. We made appointments and they were ready for us when we walked in. Great service! Sign for premium polish has arrow pointing wrong way, so we ended up unintentionally paying more. Seemed to have a challenge processing electronic payments.due to internet but that may have been due to storm when we visited. They were very accommodating in giving us access to basement when tornado sirens sounded. Im willing to go back again.

Just happened to walk by this salon and took chance they could get me in for gel manicure on a Friday afternoon. The gentleman greeted me and got me a seat right away and was so helpful finding the exact color I wanted . My nail tech did a beautiful job on my nails . They’ve never looked so good 😊

This was the worst pedicure ever. I used to live in the building and my regular go to is closed so I thought I would give it a shot again...not a good idea. I walked out half way through my pedicure (paying for it of course) The girls hand was shaking doing my nails. Thank God Pinkys is across the street and consistently good. Not going back again.

I went in today for a manicure. I had acrylics on my nails and the technician went about removing one of my nails by prying it off my finger with an unused acrylic. To explain, without having soaked my hand at all she started trying to pry them off- Ive only been wearing acrylic nails for a couple years but I have never had them removed this way or this quickly.Nearly half my nail tore off with the acrylic, which was unexpected and painful. I asked her if she could use another removal method and she immediately got upset. Another technician came over and told me she would just be filing the acrylics off which she did with an extremely over-used file. In the times we are in this made me uncomfortable.Before I left the technician told me the reason she had trouble removing the nail was because my nails were so frail which just made me want to start sobbing- as if the weak nail isnt a direct result of her prying half of it off. I left almost immediately after this. I paid ten dollars and got out of there.If you are seeking acrylics, dip powder, gel extensions, or anything beyond a basic manicure I would take your money elsewhere. My guess is this salon doesnt have real training for anything beyond that. Im genuinely horrified at my experience today.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! The receptionist was RUDE and give me attitude just cuz I don’t have venmo or cash and I told her to charge me 10$ plus for tips she started to talk to in mean way and saying something in her language angry but I remain calm! But the best part when I said: Can I have my receipt please (Politely) she give it to me like ANGRY!I looked at her and laughed her and left because her attitude was crazy but funny at the same timeI went so many nails salon and this one the worst experience in my life in nail salon will never come back again!

The staff here are always nice and do a fabulous job. They try to get everyone in and out quickly, even when it’s busy, and I can always count on the staff to give me a beautiful manicured full set or fill.I’ve been to so many nail salons in Chicago and I ALWAYS end up back at Kinzie because they are the BEST at Acrylic and no chip.Amy is my go to. She did a fab job here with OPI worth a pretty penne. 🥰

Today was the first time at this nail salon and my daughter and I really liked it. They were very welcoming when we walked in. I like the fact that it is was clean and decorated cute. Instead of having the big spa chairs the have very comfortable chairs with pillows and water basins with a bag in it to keep it sanitary. The girls did a good job on the gel manicure and pedicure for my daughter and pedicure for me. We will definitely be coming back.

Love This Place!Really nice, friendly atmosphere. I was looking for a nail salon near the job where I could go during lunch hour. This is it! Many stations and technicians so theres no waiting, no nasty attitudes - just great service, especially from Kevin, Ivy and the manager (cant remember his name), who keeps everything running smoothly between techs and customers.I actually found this salon online here on Google Reviews, which is how I usually choose service providers, unless Ive been referred. The reviews were on point! I now have a regular place to go for great service. I usually get the no-chip gel-fill manicure and it usually lasts for 3 weeks! If for some reason it chips, they fix it with no problem. Love this place! Expect to spend a couple dollars more, but worth it. 😊

Gel no chip was very done very sloppily and is completely uneven. The nail technician kept using their long fingernail to rub away the polish that had hardened onto my skin; I finally had to ask them to use a brush and polish remover that technicians typically use instead. Service and quality definitely varies by technician.

Tommy did a wonderful job. This is the second salon I have tried in Chicago. I will definitely be going back.

I absolutely love this place! Got my gel mani done here and its very reasonably priced, the staff was attentive and they were also easy on my nails when removing my previous gel manicure. They already made my nails look fresh when the removed the old gel polish, but I absolutely adored the mani they did for me. This I definitely my new regular spot and I highly recommend it!

Got a pedicure this weekend and all I can say is they have cockroaches. One crawled on my foot while I was waiting for my manicure to be done. Its gross and definitely not sanitary, as I was grabbing my shoes another one ran across the pedicure chairs. This was my favorite nail place but I will never be able to go back there after seeing multiple cockroaches and the nail technicians all saw it and laughed.

Had a great experience here, clean and reasonable wait. Mindy did a great acrylic French tip and I will go back

Nails! I want to care them with my love. Nails are a part of my life. Aha! Fortunately, I have found a salon recently, suitable for me. It is Kinzie Nail spa. It is very new and luxury. There are vases of flowers with many different colours. They are very beautiful. The services are carried out quickly and exactly with technicians enthusiasm. All completely make me satisfy. The price is cheap and reasonable. Go Kinzie Nail spa! RELAX !!! It is very worth! VERY WORTH!

Im only giving this place 1 star to write a review but Id give it 0 if I could. DO NOT GO HERE!!!BThis salon has terrible customer service and poor time management when it comes to keeping appointments. I came in yesterday to get a gel manicure and after it was done expressed how I was not liking the color because you could still see my nail through the polish. The man who sits in the front told me to wait and they would fix it. After waiting he asked if I could come back during the day tomorrow because they were closing. Today I came back and was extremely disappointed in the customer service I received. I had told them in advance that I would come at 12pm and when I got there I had to wait 45 minutes to get someone to service me. Then once I was able to get seated the same nail tech who told me to come back filed off half my nail polish with out removing the old polish fully. He tried to apply a new color on and when it did not look right he then told me that I could not get a new color. All the people in this salon pretended to not understand what I wanted and then told me I had to pay extra to get my nails fixed after they filed the polish half off. The staff here have no idea of what customer service is. I now have a half filed off manicure that looks terrible and was not refunded any of the $41 that I initially spent on the manicure.

The spa is beautiful and the whole experience was very peaceful and relaxing. Kinzie Nail Spa is the absolute best!

They did a great job on my nails, but I felt uncomfortable due to my race, I am African American. Also a black man walked in while I was getting my nails done and the reaction that I witnessed made me really angry.

This place is wonderful. A friend and I went and got pedicures and it was such a great experience. The staff visited with us. Offered us a drink and the business was spotless. I purchased the cheapest pedicure and it was like an expensive pedicure. Nice! My new nail salon. I will be a regular now!

I’ve been a loyal customer to this salon (even after moving from river north) for 5 years. They’re incredibly kind, courteous and LONG LASTING. Mandy is girl, but the entire facility is sterile and enjoyable. I often book a no chip mani & no chip pedi at the same time and I’m in and out in an hour flat. Highly recommended 🤩

WORST nail salon ever! I have beautiful, long, natural nails. I consistently get no chip manicures. I decided to try this place out. For take off of the previous no chip, they left my nails wrapped in foil and acetone for over 30min. My nails are now curled at the tips! Curled! The manager did not have any sense of urgency to address the problem. And when I decided to walk out, I was told I owed $10! Absurd!

I used to enjoy this place for convenience; however, I made two appointments within a month and I waited over 30 minutes each time. I made appointments here in order to avoid a wait as I had in the past and it was no different... if anything it was worse. I got the Powder Dip manicure and it lasted less than two weeks. I dont think ill be going there any longer unless they change their customer service or scheduling issues. Workers are very friendly though.

I have just had a HORRIBLE pedicure. Theres no one in here, like 4 people with 6+ workers. So why was the guy who worked on my pedi so rushed that he cur me? Not sure. I had to ask him, twice, to clean the skin from under my nails. Im a runner and my feet take a beating, but this has never been a problem in the 10+ years I have been running. Isn that a normal part of a pedicure? Apparently not. I have had a previous experience here that was perfectly fine, which is the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. Close to my office, so Im sad I wont be back.

Phenomenal. I went for a basic gel. Thoughtful, fast, clean service. I bumped my nail TWICE during my appointment and they fixed immediately. Will go again.

Kinzie Nail Spa is a hidden gem located under the train next to the Merchandise Mart. I go to Chan and Charlie and they are both excellent. Prices are amazing as well!!!

If i could give no stars I would. I went for a dip manicure today and the women took an hour and a half. Normally youd think it would be a nice manicure if it took that long but no! I chose a sparkly color and the women buffed and filed my nails down so much after putting the color on all the sparkles were gone. she also gave my nails the weirdest shape! I have nice nailbeds and this lady made my thumb nail look like a big toe! So so so mad and i couldnt even tell the manager because my lunch break was already over and i couldnt risk being any later to work.

This place is close to my job, easy to go right after work and get my nails done. Ive been here a dozen times and have never had any issues. They dont take tip on your credit card though, only cash.

Sisters of color never and I repeat NEVER GO TO THIS SHOP!! Their customer service to our euro sisters is great & accommodateing but to us it BS!! I go here on lunch break shop flow is low, 1 person in here. 1st the sign says one thing an they charge another. So I guess my green dollar was not enough to be treated the same as the white sisters. They was scattering like ants with the white chicks & then I tell them Im looking to find a new shop an what they do..give me a woman who I must have been her 1st ever client! Ladies go somewhere else, were our dollar is just as good as the next! They will never see me again an since I work nearby, every time I walk pass im going to discourage any sister from going in their...and also they dont have a swipe for debit but have a machine if your card has chip so if not you have to use their ATM🤦🤦🤦 #NotAgain

Came here to get a full set and pedicure for a friends bachelorette weekend. It was a pleasant visit. The employees are all friendly and helpful. Loved how they are very gentle not in a hurry to finish (even though it gets busy). Very clean, very comfortable chairs. Im extremely happy with my nailsThis is the one spot I would come back to for most of my urgent visits for special occasions.

Its OK, good price, they should let you add the tip on a credit card tho. There is a lot of competition in the neighborhood so they better step their game up!

Consistently positive experience - pink and white gel fills look great, last for weeks, never lift. And, they are open on Sundays and I never have to wait long - they are efficient, and professional. And price is reasonable too.

I came here during my lunch and expected to be in and out. the guy who did my nails didnt understand English, so i had a difficult time talking to him to explain what i wanted. Also, when i told him to stop scratching my nails, he didnt listen to me and i had to snatch my hand away from him. During my seated moment, he took care of other people that came way after me as I sat there doing nothing watching other people walk out in anger. To sum it up, I was sitting there for 2 hours for a simple fill-in and my nails didnt last a week. 2 of my nails broke and the color is chipping. I will NEVER go back to this salon.

Great place! My sister, 3 gfs of mine and I have been going there for 2-3 years now and have tried MANY places and love this place. You will always have that one bad experience at any salon, you just have to find a person that is right for you. Also, always schedule an appointment if you are tight on time as they are pretty busy...obviously for a reason ;)

This place is a good place to go and get your nails done if you want a cheaper place. They have lots of gel colors and regular nail polish colors. There usually is not a wait unless you go during lunch time. I would def recommend this place.

Close to work and perfect in a pinch but not a great experience. They have a decent selection of regular and gel colors but they dont appear to keep up with the latest OPI and Essie collections like other salons. The space is large and Ive never had to wait but the tables are numbered, the technicians seemed rushed and I feel like I get herded through what I want to be a relaxing experience.

I usually recommend this place but today the ignorance shown is unacceptable!The girl who did my nails today asked me do I do drugs!!! I I Smoke CIGARS! Didnt get an apology from her. either!! Normally I don’t write negative reviews - but this called for one. I had just finished a 5 day course on grief and loss so I figured I would pop by and get my nails done for self cafe.1. Where I started to get an off feeling was after sitting down. Usually customer service casualties are offered, however we sat in silence as the woman doing my nails gossiped with the woman beside her station. Even in another language with the low tone, looking around and leaning in, gossiping was apparent. We’re all human, and it was in a language I clearly did not understand, which is fine however my body position had to follow hers. I was seated awkwardly when she leaned over and it was uncomfortable to sit like that and watch the interaction.2. When I looked down, I noticed the tools were in the blue sterile bag, indicating they were clean. However there was brown on the inside of the bag that looked a lot like rust. The instruments did look clean, but if they were freshly cleaned, why was there anything in the bag?3. The gossiping took priority over the nail job itself, as my finished product has extra nail polish on my hands in several places, my nails are uneven and the paint itself isn’t even. I still have extra skin around my cuticles too.4. The color I had picked was not red (more orange) so I asked to go more red. She picked one and after taking the orangey color off, she put this one on without base coat on that nail. Didn’t care to fix it, I guess.5. Why I left and didn’t ask them to fix it? (A) I’m from a passive culture where we just accept what we’re given not to make a fuss) and b) the only conversation the woman did make with me was about a tip. I don’t carry cash so I asked her to charge me more if possible, if not I’ll go get cash for the whole transaction. She said “Venmo” so I accepted that and she took out her phone and gave me her code. All is fine, until about 30 seconds later she looks at her phone and sees I haven’t sent her a tip yet. I didn’t feel comfortable sending it to her in front of her, what if she expected more? (*would have been over 20% for a $24 nail service). with the way she gossiped I was honestly worried that if I didn’t send her enough she wouldn’t do a good job (which in the end didn’t matter). So I told her I’ll send it after and she says “okay okay”. Two minutes later she said something to a coworker who looked at me and said “did you send the Venmo?” I replied not yet.. as she had my hands and I still wasn’t comfortable. She sent me to the hand drier and about 10 minutes later she came back and pointed to the ATM machine and said “atm! Tip atm” and I said it’s fine, I’ll still use Venmo. She said “okay Venmo Venmo” and walks away.I understand a tipping culture however this seemed excessive. I felt pressured via society and through the woman to tip on top of the amount paid. I’m extremely uncomfortable with how everything went down today. I’m just a lone young adult so what does this mean? I don’t know but honestly I would not recommend the service. I really feel like I wasted money and time.

Located at the base of the Merchandise Mart El stairs, this salon is convenient for after work manicures on days when i dont have time to get back to my neighborhood salon. They do a decent job but the experience feels rushed and less personal than other salons. I agree with Jesss review the nail polish selection is lacking and although they have lots of colors, they dont usually have the new collections.

Pedicure chairs are great, skilled technicians, clean salon, and good pricing. Will return when in Chicago again.

I moved to the city in April 2014. I have a salon in the burbs that Ive been going to for 10 years. Im extremely particular about my nails and where Ill get them done, from start to finish - the cleanliness of the salon, the customer service, prices, the finished product, etc. After months of trying salons all over the city and not being impressed with ANY of them - not clean, poor customer service, over priced, mediocre work, etc, I stumbled across Kinzie Nail Spa and Ive been going there bi-weekly for manicures and pedicures ever since!LOCATION: the location is great! Close to public transit (literally walk down the stairs at the Merchandise Mart stop)... and its right there. If you drive, parking is always available in front of the salon - I think its $4 for an hour, which Im usually only there for about 45 minutes. Not bad at all.CUSTOMER SERVICE: SO impressed with the staff. Everyone is extremely kind and very helpful. The receptionist is very nice and they are great about accommodating schedules. Ive called on a few occasions to move my appointment due to work - sometimes to the following day and sometimes just to come in 30 minutes early or an hour later. No matter what the reason, or how small the change... the receptionist is always kind, understanding, patient and friendly. The nail technicians are just as nice. : )PRODUCTS AND SERVICES: Kinzie Nail Spa was the first nail salon in the city that I found (which does it all)... before switching to the No Chip Manicure, I was getting the pink and white gel overlay on my natural nails. It called and went into at least 7 salons that dont do that and found one that did, but only had ONE person who knows how to do it and with my luck, I walked in on his/her off day - of course! Oh, and one salon downtown had the audacity to tell me that they can do it but it was going to cost me $70 because it was a special gel!!! I was getting it done for $40 an hour away in the burbs! NO THANK YOU! At Kinzie, they do it all. Gel, acrylic, no chip, etc. And from my experience, they have the BEST prices in the city!! They also have other services - waxing and things of that nature, if you are interested.FINAL PRODUCT: I have never walked out of the salon and not been happy with the work theyve done! Danny and June are both wonderful. Two of my favorites! But Ive also had other nail techs (when I randomly walk in without an appointment)... and theyve all done a FANTASTIC job! There is no luck of the draw there... Ive always been pleased! I am extremely grateful that I found this place! Ill never go anywhere else in Chicago!! For anyone who is as picky as me... You have to check this place out! I promise, youll be pleased!! Good luck!! : )

I love this place! I have very odd shaped fingers from years of biting my nails and this is the only Salon that gets my manicure right! The space is clean and the women and men who work there are extremely nice. I never have to wait long and the color selection is great. This is honestly only place I go for a mani/pedi.

I am new to the area and received service twice from Kinzie Nail Shop. The first two times ... I really thought they did a superb job. The gut who sits @ Table 4 is very skilled with clients that still want to work w/ acrylic. I have an acrylic over lay on my natrual nails. I return for my fill -in and was sentenced to table 6 ( stay away) My nails with in a week started to chip on the sides & my nails looked like they were 2 weeks old. I recently had a baby and only have a sitter on Thursdays ... I return one week later to let them know about the job and show them the results of a non professional job. She tells me she wont charge me for repairs ... but will charge me for fill in ..$20.00. The same $20.00 I paid last week ... How are you making the situation any better... I refuse to pay $20.00 and the she tells me to pay $10.00 for a polish change. This place is only about the $$$$ ... I would not ever return to a place that does not stand behind there service. The guy who sits in #6 should have been paying me back for a poor job !!!!!

Very disappointed in my pedicure. Water was not hot and they barely scrubbed my feet - which personally is the main reason I get a pedicure. She was more concerned with doing the pedicure within a time limit (they literally set a timer when you sit down) than just doing her job and doing it well. I said something to the manager and he didnt seem to care but instead asked for my payment.

Worst no chip I have ever had. Got a no chip manicure and it chipped the very next day. Was planning on going to get it fixed but by the 5th day the thumbs didnt even chip off they peeled off on their own. Waste of my money and time.

I live on the south side and I found this place just randomly searching on the web and I only come to this place great people great service I recommend this to my friends and family.

I called an made an appointment for both a mani and pedi, was never given a pedi. When I picked out my colors for my mani the lady argued with me saying I needed to know the brand not just the number. After finding the correct brand she grabbed the wrong colors and did not do what I asked even after showing her exactly what I wanted with a photo I had saved on my phone. She also kept answering the phone and hanging up on potential customers saying she wanted to get off work and didn’t want to answer. Just horrible customer service.

The ladies were ok but the guy is not good at all😵 I dont like him trying to make fast money and the prices super high👎 . Worst nails💅... two stars and this for ladies good place its files like no experiments... pedicure was good !!! Manicure worst 😤😠

Traveling for work and nails needed attention! I found this salon based off of recommendations from the hotel staff and decided to try based on its proximity to Merch Mart. I was not disappointed!The staff was extremely efficient. The gentleman that did my nails also served as a customer service MACHINE. He has spidey sense or something that allowed him to know where every single customer/tech was at at in their service and he played dispatch without missing a beat. I watched appx 8-10 women walk in without appts for various services (12:30ish on a Friday) while he was giving me a full set gel manicure. Every person was accommodated and in a chair (of a seemingly FULL salon) within 5 min. Nothing short of miraculous. I was not the only customer that noticed this superhero nail tech’s extreme multi tasking ability. I watched this man take several appointment calls while SIMULTANEOUSLY continuing to do my nails,fill pedi soakers during my 30 second lamp drys, and assign every new customer to a tech. The girl next to me and I were just dying over the efficiency.I found their pricing to be extremely reasonable in this particular niche of Chicago and wouldn’t hesitate to come again and recommend to others

Made appointments then had a wait a half hour. The guy kept messing up my nails so he had to keep starting over, filed them down so far my nails were bleeding when I left. Did different number of coats on each nail so the color is uneven. Took forever to do, all around awful experience. I go here a lot but I think this will be my last time. They knew I was running late and took people without appointments before me. Shouldnt take an hour and a half for a no chip!

To keep this short, for me, I went in there and was waiting for someone to give me a manicure and the woman who was to give it to me asked me to take off my own polish (while she finished up someone else). I actually started doing this with a cotton ball and then I said No, Im not going to do this. Then she pulled out one of those sponge dip-in removers, like this was going to make a difference! I go to a nail salon to have someone else do all that is involved with changing my nail polish. I was floored.Two prior times I got pressured to give a cash tip by them fudging about what was the minimum I could put on my charge/debit card.

They are clean and usualky nice. They just need to slow down and stop rushing wirh customers.

The best nail place in Chicago!

Unfortunately they are having serious issues with maintaining their appointment commitments. I had to wait over thirty minutes for my manicure to start, and had an appointment scheduled. The staff is completely overwhelmed.

I had a 5:30 appt- they did not start my pedicure until 6:17! The bulk of the time they had me sit in a pedicure chair for 35 mins before starting. Thats after waiting in their sitting area! They then offered me a complimentary 5 minute massage because of the wait but they never delivered! The mani/pedi was good but altogether bad experience.

I went there and had no problems great price, close to work and its not crowded.

Its been 3 weeks since my no chip mani pedi and other than growth, nails still look awesome. Fast service and clean place.

I dont know what happened between now and the last time I visited. My nails started to just pop off after a few days of getting them done. Its like they downgraded the quality of their products.

Ruined my nails. Took about 3 hours for another salon to remove the gel polish and my nails were all cracked and brittle underneath. Never again.
