Picked up a promo with CEA from a friend referral on Sunday and was paid Friday. I had never worked with them before prior to the event, was given my paperwork immediately and completed it as soon as I received it. Jaqueline was great with helping me get all my information in and completed before checks were sent in and made sure I had all the information I needed for the promo. I loved working with my partner and we had a lot of fun. Set up was a breeze and we were reimbursed 1.5hrs of travel time (live in Chicago promo was an hour away in Indiana). I recommend💕

I was hired to work the Book Expo in May 2017. The cancellation fee was not specified in the email I had received. I worked day 1 of the event and wasnt feeling 100% for day 2. I was told if a replacement is not found its $50 and if one is found, its up to payroll if they wish to fine me. I had informed her if I had known about the fee, I would of walked it off and came to work. I didnt receive a response after that. A mass email was sent to all staff saying they are missing some information. That should not apply to those who had filled out the profile in a timely matter. Today I received the check and I was charged the fine. I am in quite a few events agencies. Some outline it in the description the cancellation fee or late fee before you accept. Others do not have a fine policy as it is an independent contractor position. It be much easier if this company offered direct deposit and outlined the cancellation fee before hand so staff can know.
