Dropped in for the 6:30 am class. Everyone was very welcoming. Good work with professor to start the class and good rolls. Large mat space. Definitely will be my go to spot when I’m back in Chicago.

Carlson Gracie Academy in my personal Opinion is the Top Jiu jitsu Academy in Chicago . A real Legit training environment & most of all everyone is very welcoming and social. The Lineage is the best from Japan to Carlson Gracie Sr and now Carlson Gracie Jr . The Instruction is high class, Good spirit and the style of Jiu jitsu is effective and competitive . I really recommend 😉this Academy at 100% .

Great coach, great people, great location!

You can call multiple times and no response, call back and even try messaging them on Facebook but they don’t answer. I did my first free class which I had to walk into ... I don’t understand why a business isn’t trying to return potential customers calls, I tried getting a membership here too by walking in but the desk person in the front didn’t even know the prices of the robes or the prices to pay for x amount of months upfront? He said comeback when “other persons name “ is here, I did come back when they said and “that person” wasn’t there. The communication here, I wouldn’t recommend it .

Carlson Gracie Chicago is definitely the very best place that you can train at in the Chicago area. All of the instructors are world class and are very helpful and welcoming to the students. Carlson Jr. Teaches personally and you just wont get anyone with better experience. Youll learn from the source and from the best when you train here.

. The competition instructor overestimates ability sometimes so it hinders my learning. I would ask numerous time i was unsure and was told to figure it out or just plain ignore. I was told to stop coming because I was wasting my and not dedicated enough to compete. I never had any desire to compete. Just wanted to be in shape

Ive been studying Brazilian jiu-jitsu here since 2015 and I absolutely love it! Learning this sport and being a part of the Carlson Gracie team has been transformational. Im continuously challenged, encouraged, pushed and pulled, as well as choked and submitted, always learning and growing stronger every day. Im happy to have found this amazing team. All the instructors are amazing, kind, humble, and open to sharing their knowledge and experience. Competing can be scary, but when youre part of this team, you have the strongest warriors behind you, coaching you, drilling you, and pushing you beyond your limits to help you reach your greatest potential.
