My experience with International Leather Source was far from ordinary. I was across the street at Walgreen’s and the $59.00 Leather Jacket sign caught my eye. I just had to see what was in store. Upon entering the employee greeted me and gave me a walk thru of the store showing me all sorts of leather attire. The Leather was OK. Alot of vintage wear and urban styles.From our conversation he also shared that they also specialize in non-leather items, such as chiffon and silk women’s bridal gowns.  Although they do no advertising about the custom dress services, I took a chance and left him with a design to work off of. Five weeks pass by and I received a call that the dress had arrived.I arrived back into the store and tried on the custom dress (FYI they don’t have a formal dressing room; its actually the employee breakroom) and the dress fit with no issues.At the end of the day, if you’re looking for leather goods this mom & pop shop is the place to be. They wont deliver on their promises. I ordered a custom jacket back in November with a promise it would be done in 4-8 weeks. I asked if it could be assured to deliver at the end of December, which they said they could. Come December, and they fell back to the 8 weeks which would have been early January - I was not happy and reminded them they promised it by the end of December. They then promised early January. Of course, they didnt deliver and then simply sent an e-mail that said, We cant do it, and cancelled the order. I needed this for a specific photo shoot and told them that. Now Im up against the deadline and Im left without what I need. Ive had to stay on them the entire time with no updates and nothing but broken promises. My advice - take your business elsewhere.

Made an appointment and they canceled. Then told me to come the following day but to wait for their call- never happened. The guy then rudely told me only online and if needed to take my business elsewhere.-correct the phone call your company stated they would make on Sunday, didn’t happen. Which is also unprofessional.Yes I am an AE at Yelp. Which is why my review is very much legit.Also proud owner of my clothing line. -Which is why I made the appointment.Yelp has nothing to do with this, but I see how you are trying to play it off as if that’s what I was coming for.-We do business with professionals. This mom and pop shop isn’t of interest.I needed leather jackets for my personal clothing line.I’ve also looked at your past responses to other customers. Just picked up a custom order the other week. For the level of quality Im not sure if you can beat the price anywhere. Will definitely come back in the future!

They educated me on the types of leather and helped me pick out the best jacket for my style, body-type, and price range.

Mister Singh has taken care of me like family over the last 28 years.... 5 stars for products but 4 stars for the security guard/employee Earnest. He can be very aggressive.Make sure you call before you go as they have changed their hours.

One of a kind leather goods shop located in the northside of Chicago..this place has everything from leather pants, dresses, jackets, vests, coats, wallets, gloves, handbags and a world worth of belts. I ended up purchasing a full grain cowhide leather belt. The owner educated me on the different grains of leather and was kind enough to cut it to my exact waist size. I personally dont wear jackets, so I cannot speak on the quality of their garments..however Im in love with my belt!

Bought 3 Leather jackets there about a Month ago, last week in August. Best time to buy, store was empty, I took my time & got tremendous coats at tremendous prices. Only problem is, you have to call when you get there. The sales Lady was in the back of the store & could not hear me knocking. But she was pleasant & helpful!

This store is the ultimate leather warehouse from vintage to upscale, you name it and they got it...been coming here since 91 to get my clothes. About every 2 years my girl gets a custom dress made and I get a leather coat to match. Make sure you go on the weekday..the security guard at the front can be a little moody on the weekend.

They have excellent goods. I was actually surprised at the quality of the materials they have. I love the jacket I have, just make sure to treat it so the leather stays PERFECT

Last of a dying breed, one of the oldest and remaining leather shops in Chicago and probably throughout the country. This hidden gem is the spot for custom leathers and custom dresses. The best way to describe it would be Saturday morning Jewtown Maxwell street vibes. Prices are negotiable if you deal with the owners directly.

My family has made return trips to this store for over 20 years. Its not a fancy store, but its packed with so much and theres a large variety of leathers - coats, vests, suits and jackets. They specialize in custom-wear so naturally being a dressy connosier, I took a shot for my cousins wedding dress being custom made since I have bought numerous leather items from them in the past (but never in clothing). Abe, helped us understand the dress making process; informing us about the different designs, handwork and fabrics. 3 weeks go by and I got the call that the dress has had arrived. I must say I am very much impressed not only with the quality but that I only paid $650 dollars out the door. I wish them success in their new venture and will recommend to anyone in Chicago looking for custom dresses, bridesmaid dresses and even bridal gowns!

I went to this store because I saw a jacket posted online, to my surprise they turned out to be a local company so I decided to drive over and try and look it in person.The people in here are pretty nice, no pressure when buying and were very knowledgeable in educating me on the different types of leather.Now on to the jacket, the piece I fell in LOVE with was a vintage biker with blended with roses straight out of the 80s. The jacket was a little loose little...however they were kind enough to make a free alteration on jacket for me at no cost....which was a total of $320 out the door.Pretty satisfied with my jacket and will most likely return for a handbag!!

I purchased a wallet for my husband from LEATHERDRIVE online through ETSY. I understand that it is an extension of International Leather Source. The wallet is a good design, made of soft leather, and seems to be well made. Hes had it now for several months and remains happy with it.

Last Thursday I was strolling thru my local JcPenny here in East Brunswick, NJ and came across a bomber jacket manufactured by this company.The jacket itself is a soft style I think lamb? with a fur lining. I did buy it on clearance marked down to $160.00 (probably due to the retail apocalypse) from its original $499.99 price tag.My sister wanted an identical piece to match me, so I went online and saw that they no longer have any clearance items available in this price range..but the bright side is Ray (the rep I spoke to) honored a 20% discount for my next purchase and said they will be bringing down prices in the Spring. Im happy with the jacket and hope if I can grab another clearence item in the spring!
