My case actually dragged on for 6 years on and off as it moved around from visitation to custody to child support.During that time Catherine was always on time, well prepared and overall just a caring and thoughtful attorney. Any time I needed to reach her I could and if she was not available I would hear from her within the hour.She was well respected in court and I never felt like I lost despite going back to court for the same things multiple times. For clarity, we kept coming back to court for the same things because my childrens mother never accepted the decision of the court.Because I was in court for such a long period of time it did become costly but it was clear to me that Catherine was more than fair with cost and set things up so that we would have to go to court as few times as possible. A lawyer myself when she represented me in my dissolution action, I was appalled by her huge bill accompanied by her failure to move my case forward at all in the time she represented me. I wanted to settle but she kept filing motions in court making demands. This was in 2007. She also never replied to my request for a payment plan and quickly proceeded to get a judgment against me after I terminated representation.

Catherine represented my fiancé in a custody case that is still ongoing after 5 years. She is constantly sending invoices but produces no results. As a result we had to retain a new attorney short notice in preparation for trial. Please do not hire Catherine if you are looking for quality representation and do not want to spend upwards of 100k with no explanation of your bill.

Represented my fiance in her custody case. Estimated the case could cost as much as 30-40K. She paid over $30,000 and didnt get any movement. Byrne allowed for delay after delay and did not do have the case even close to hearing after a year plus. Then wanted another $40,000 to keep going. When we explained we could only possibly set up some sort of payment plan but didnt have another $40,000 at our immediate disposal she dropped out. When I emailed her essentially begging her to keep going she told me I was dellusional and referred to me and my fiance as pathetic. Easily one of the most insulting and hurtful responses I have ever seen. Also told me not to email her back because as I know, her time is valuable.
