A very nice and clean apartment in a very nice area of Old town. Safe clean and nice restaurants in walking distance. All I would improve on is the complete lack of hangers in the unit, we were 3 Sales people staying for a trade show and the lack of hangers was a little inconvenient. All in all, a very good value for the cost.

We stayed at an At Home Inn Chicago property on our recent visit to Chicago. Nearly the entire city was sold out of hotel rooms. At Home Inn got us into a newly finished 2BR/2BA unit near Clark and Diversey. The unit was very spacious - easily accommodated our family of 5. It also had excellent finishes in the kitchen, the bathrooms and throughout the unit - including beautiful hardwood floors. Having a parking space was a HUGE plus, as well. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I will DEFINITELY contact At Home Inn the next time I stay in Chicago!

Wow! When we came into town to visit Chicago, we thought wed try a B&B instead of our usual hotel. We loved how much room there was for our family of 5. The kids had plenty of room to have fun and give us some space :) The accomodations were fabulous! We will definitely return!

Great stay. We rented a place in Lincoln Park, the apartment was clean and well furnished. Matt was a great host and we couldnt be happier there. For breakfast and lunch I recommend trying Nookies the very next door - great food!I would definitely recommend this place to our friends/family.

Every staff member I talked to from At Home Inn Chicago was accommodating and worked hard to be helpful. I especially appreciated some last minute help from Carson. The only criticism I have is that once I had selected the property I wanted my party was moved to another property that I had not selected. I was told that the first property was being renovated due to water damage. This information should have been conveyed to me when I first reserved the property.I also suggest At Home Inn Chicago locate more properties for customers with disabilities and the elderly, who prefer walking straight into their buildings rather than taking flights of stairs.I have already recommended At Home Inn Chicago and will continue to do so.

We had a wonderful experience! Location was perfect and was just what we wanted. This is a great location for a family because there is so much space! Beautiful spot in hope to come back again!

Stayed with them 3 times now - nothing but awesome experiences! Ive stayed in three different properties, in two different neighborhoods, and each time the place was far more than I expected - walking distance to great bars, restaurants, coffee shops; large well-kept units. Theyre my go-to now when I have family in town.

This was a great way to visit Chicago. It was a much lovelier experience than a hotel and the building is on a charming little street. Very homey.

Gorgeous on the inside. While the location was it a great area it wasnt in my preferred neighborhood. Only reason I had to take down a star.

My wife and I recently, 10/3/15 -10/6/15 stayed in a small apartment just off of North Rush Street using At Home Inn Chicago and honestly its not bad. It was one of the cheapest places we could find, but the best part about this rental was the location. It was in a sort of posh part of town, but it was quite nice and very close to nearly everything. We were amazed after we got accustomed to the public transportation how near everything was. Very easy to get around and several times after walking most the day, we would return to take a quick rest then set off again. About the accommodation, the bed was somewhat too firm and pillows were very flat to say the least. We noticed the shower curtain smelled slightly sour as if it hadnt been taken down and washed in some time. I wouldve given this place an easy 4 star, but gave a 3 because of how we ended our stay. We were told that we could leave our bags at the rental after checkout at 11:00, but must have them picked up by 2:30 pm because there were new arrivals coming in. Thats fine, but when we returned just after 1:30 to get our luggage, the new tenants had already checked in and the room had yet to be cleaned. Check-in is at 3:00. When I emailed Mr. Carson, with whom I had corresponded several times, about the situation he never responded. At night there is a dead bolt and latch, but during the day it is just the code, which it seems they do not change. My concern was how do I know that no one will come by with the code while Im visiting the town and plunder? There was nothing to have kept the new tenants from going through our things while we were not there. This last incident made my wife and I both feel very uncomfortable, hence the 3 stars. We would have made arrangements with our bags had we been informed of an early check-in time for new tenants. Also, the refusal to respond to my concerns initially via email by Mr. Carson was/is quite unprofessional despite it being at the end of our stay. I sincerely hope this company takes reviews into consideration as they do hold a lot of weight with the public.Suggestions: 1) change the codes. 2) dont allow new tenants to check-in until youve ensured the old ones have checked out. 3) Invest in better pillows 4) Wash the the shower curtain

The only issue we really had was with parking, although we had passes for each day we were unable to find parking. We had to end up parking (and paying) in a nearby garage. The location and furnishings were great!

On November 20th 2014, I signed a contract with At Home Inn Chicago to rent The Biddle House for a five-week period beginning July 5th 2015. This included a 50 percent deposit. After calling them in early June to confirm the booking, and being assured that everything was in order, I received an email on June 22nd that due to “unforeseen circumstances The Biddle House was not available” for our stay. We were offered another “upgraded unit” that looked beautiful, but was not in the neighborhood that we needed. A phone call to At Home Inn Chicago revealed that, somehow, they had double booked the property and had only discovered their error. I was told that I signed my contract a month later than the other party and my only recourse was accepting the other unit or receiving a refund of my deposit. I opted for the refund and ended up scrambling for more expensive hotel rooms in or near the neighborhood we wanted. The person I spoke with was very courteous, but was unable to explain how a unit could be double booked for over six months without anyone noticing. I was not given the opportunity to speak with the person who did the original booking. Based on this experience, I would be very leery of booking with At Home Inn Chicago if I wanted to count on being in a specific unit or location. Also, it would seem that this is not an isolated instance since I saw another review that referenced the same issue. They did refund my money but I received no compensation for the seven months that held onto my $2500 with two bookings in their system.

We stayed 3 nights in a 3 brm on Wells street (OT19) rented from Athomeinnchicago. First, the location is great. Close to everything, the zoo, the beach, great restaurants. The layout of the apartment is nice for hanging out. The beds and bedding were nice and clean. The kitchen surfaces and table were clean. The parking is tough, but doable, and they provided parking permits for the area. But you should be aware of a few things when renting this place. The bathrooms were dirty with moldy shower curtains. I mentioned this to the office and asked for the shower curtains to be replaced, with no response. Dead bugs on the window sills. Dirty (sticky) area rug in the front room. Lastly, I tried to cancel one night (originally reserved 4 and then could only stay for 3). The cancellation policy states you can get 50% back if you tell them 7 days prior to check in. I tried to cancel, but got different excuses why I cant get my money back from different people.I was a bit surprised by this rental agency as they have many good reviews on AirBNB, yet our experience was somewhat disappointing due to the cleanliness of the unit and lack of consistency regarding their cancellation policy. Perhaps there has been a recent change in management? Not sure, but I wanted to make others aware of these issues before they rent from Athomeinnchicago.
