Nick is wonderful! He fixed my laptop in under 24 hours. He also is very good with communicating updates on my job. My issue was the hinge of my laptop was broken, making it difficult to open and close. He glued it up. See photo

I’ve used Tech Box several times, and they always provide great service. Today, I took my son in to have his phone repaired at about 5:30PM. He told us to come back at 7PM because there were 2 phone reports ahead of us. We got the phone repaired that evening, which was amazing! My son was really impressed! They’re very reasonably priced as well, which is an added bonus for such great service. My final compliment is that they really know what they’re doing. You won’t regret using them for your repair needs.

Sigh. I had such high hopes for this neighborhood spot with decent reviews. My dog wrapped his leash around my legs causing me to fall with phone in hand. My iPhone 11’s screen cracked. The phone was fine beyond the aesthetics. It was cracked for about two weeks but worked just fine. I went to Tech Box and encountered the nicest man, who fixed my phone in 4-ish hours. Within an hour, my phone was doing this thing where it moves and scrolls on its own. So let’s say you’re reading an email. The phone would just start scrolling up. Or if you’re texting, all of sudden you’re looking at a conversation from April 2020. I learn that they call it “ghost scrolling”. It was fine, I could try and deal until the touch functionality completely went out. I’d touch the phone and it just wouldn’t work. I thought for sure this was the result of iPhones new update. So I spent 5 hours trying to factory reset my phone because the touch just wasn’t working. I had to press really hard on the corner of the screen to activate the digitizer, to no avail. That should have been a clue that it was not a software update issue. I took it back to tech box and some other guy is there too. He’s nice enough, but he’s like, “if I give you a new screen and it doesn’t work, then what? It could be motherboard issue like the iPhone 6.” He gives me a new screen-supposedly. No charge. Not entirely sure it’s a new screen, but whatever. The phone doesn’t work. Same issue. It was fine, but 36 hour later and I am having the same problems. Sigh. All the research I’ve done suggests that the display is either not compatible or not installed correctly. Either way, I spent $150 + tip for a non-functional device. Honestly, could have kept the cracked screen if I’d have known that it wasn’t going to work. I just didn’t want a cracked phone as a grown adult. I’m lucky I pay monthly for phone insurance, but I’m frustrated that my phone is non-functional for the price I paid. They get two starts for being nice.

Brought in a chromebook that wouldnt power up. He got a new battery when that didnt work he said it was the adapter. Sold me an adapter he spliced together for $30. Also very unresponsive. Poor business would never go back.

I dropped my laptop and the hinges came loose. I was charged $160 and it took 6 weeks. I called and was always told to call back and was told they couldn’t get my laptop back on. When I dropped it off it was working fine. Now I can’t find the camera. A mess.

I cannot express how helpful TechBox was for my technical crisis! I broke a flash drive and lost access to important schoolwork, but they were able to get my connections resoldered and get my data to me. I would recommend them for any and all of your computer repair needs.

Do not waste your hard earned money. Took my iPhone in for repair (cracked screen). A month later my phone was given back with a broken home button. I was patient and brought it back multiple times for him to fix. A MONTH after my first visit, he claims he sent it to a specialist, and that it was fixed. Got home and charged it, still broken. Stay away!!!!

Ive used their service for all my phone/laptop issues for the past 3 years Ive been in Hyde Park. I have been pleased with their help every single time. In particular:1. When I had a piece of plastic that fell out of my laptop as I dropped it on the floor, I went to 3 different tech shops and asked what the piece might be and whether its necessary to put it back. Tech Box was the only place that gave a reasonable suggestion on the spot. (One other shop straight out said you have to leave your laptop here and well get back to you in 48 hours without even inspecting that piece of plastic I held in hand!)2. They always try to explain what the problem is, and offer different options for you to choose. They can be busy, but obviously care about making your electronics work! One time they said its gonna take an hour to fix my phone and I had nothing to do without my phone/laptop with me, so they let me use the computer in their store while waiting. Nick always remembers me, whether when I call or email or visit in person (maybe partly because I speak the same language as his mother tongue, but still). I have had fewer interactions with Ethan but he seems equally professional and respectful.3. They have a warranty on their battery/screen replacements, which I think is nice.

I went to Tech Box to fix my cracked screen after my service provider quoted me not only a high price but a 7-10 business day time frame. Tech Box did it for a slightly lower price and within one hour. Quick, effective, and friendly service...I will be recommending Tech Box to anyone who will listen! Thanks again.

I think I posted about this place a few weeks before, but I picked up my phone from them and its as good as new! They were really nice and quick to work on my phone, which I appreciated a lot! I highly recommend Tech Box!

I recently visited Tech Box to repair my girlfriends shattered iPhone7 plus and they did a great job at repairing the phone in under an hour and half. They werent only fast at fixing her phone but they also had really great, personable customer service that makes me want to be a returning customer. Great experience all around and they definitely deserve five stars.

So glad i found this place. Staff knows everything there is to know about computers! Ive picked up spare parts and ill likely by my next system from them. They also do repair and diagnostics. Lucky to have them in Hyde Park!

Highly professional service. My iPhone 6 was broken in more than one way -- the touch screen was not working, the display had water damage, and the front camera and earphone speaker were broken. They promptly diagnosed and fixed all these problems for a very fair price.Very high recommendations.

Told me to come in at 6pm today for my broken laptop hinge and he was CLOSED. Wouldnt pick up the phone and I called him earlier today around 11 to let him know I was coming in. He says no Im not at the shop yet I prefer you come in at 6pm we close at 7pm. Took time out of my workday to come over and find out the damn place is closed. At least have the courtesy to call me back and let me know you couldnt fix my problem or could meet at that time anymore.

I had an issue with my phones headphone jack, and Tech Box fixed it in five minutes for only $10. It was way better service than I hoped for from any phone repair service.

Kevin was very helpful and gave some excellent advice regarding saving my data and extending the life of my HD. He also gave a very reasonable quote for replacing my damaged laptop screen. This store will be my go-to from now on for all my tech needs.
