I go here often and The staff are just amazing... They always go far and bey8 to offer great service and the Gentleman who is the manager there is just super awesome. Theres 2 currency exchanges near me but I go to this one preferably.

Use to love this place until I get charged for what I didn’t asked for nor agree. We gets stimulus and people think money can be thrown for whatever. I am def reaching higher managements. Very disappointed

If you need a vehicle plate or window sticker, this is a great place to get assistance. Santos will pick up the phone (something another reviewer confirmed). He will tell you exactly what you need to bring into the store in order to get the vehicle sticker.I was in and out of the store in less than 7 minutes. You can’t get service much better than that!

I went in for a city sticker and the employees worked with me to save me money. I fully appreciate the extra effort they put in to help me feel taken care of. If you show kindness and patience it will go a long way.

There are many currency exchanges near me but I went to this location because they’re the only one who actually answers their phone when I called. They told me what the total cost would be and it was exactly what I paid. They promptly called me the same day when my actual plates were ready and gave them to me as soon as I returned. Excellent, professional service all around.

Lying about what time they close. Sign at the door and google says 7pm, I arrived at 6:50 and I was turned away. All I had was a simple money order. Horrible service.

Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly folks at this currency exchange. Chicago ordinances are bad enough without extra hassle on top, and the staff and owner here make it a lot easier.

I have never had a bad experience here. The woman who helped me most recently saved me a small fortune by asking me the right questions, which she was under no obligation to do. She found me a sizeable discount on the city sticker I needed. Plus, they have free parking!!

Do not file you taxes here ive had so much problem with mine. i filled 2016 it is now 2018 and i still cant get my refund because they did my paper work wrong. Julie said she knew what she was doing and when i went back to talk to her about it she said oh everyrhing has changed with the IRS now. i wish she wouldve told me that in the begining AND NOT HAVE WASTED MY TIME!!!! i advise you not to go here, she doesnt know what shes doing and whats worse she wont admit it. dont go there.

Horrible service!! The lady was a huge pain in my ass and would not call the manager...Im a military service member and she gave me the worst time! Im aware of the policies and she seemed like she was making some up and just horrible service! I had all the credentials needed and she completely treated me with disrespect..that Asian lady is racist!

I saw some of the past reviews and would want to differ on some points. I have been a customer for a little over 10 years cashing my checks, getting my city stickers and plate stickers every year and have even gotten new plates a couple of times after purchasing a couple of used cars over the years. One main reason I return as a regular customer is the tremendous service I get on every visit. I want to also point out that I drive all the way from the North & Austin neighborhood since I moved out there 4 years ago. When I moved out there I went to that currency exchange on the corner because it was close by but they treated me so bad and were so rude to me. I said NEVER again and decided to take the extra trip to Lawrence and Ashland. I have always recommended friends and family to Lawrence Ashland because they always seem to be able to find the right answers for me. We will continue to be loyal customers and I will keep recommending others to pay a visit . Thanks and continue the awesome job guys!

Horrible place to go. They would not take care of my daughter when she went in to start electric service. They had three customers including my self and she said it would take too long and that she would not make the customers wait. There was two employees! Then my daughter asked when could she come to get it done? The ignorant lady told my daughter between 9am and 9pm, it was 7:30pm! My daughter went to Diversey and Clark where they managed to complete the transaction in 10 mins! We will never go to the ashland and lawrence currency again. If I could give it a zero star I would for poor service, ignorant behavior, lazy, unprofessional and they have no respect for customers.

The people here are just plain out rude. They couldnt care less about any question you have. I called to ask them a question and was hung up on. They charged me $60.00 to exchange $350.00 to US Currency. I hope this place falls apart brick by brick.

The place looks bad. The staff is OK, they are not very friendly, they just do whatever you asked for and thats it.

They were unable to cash my money order, nor could they tell me where I could go to get it done.....dont understand why they dont cash money orders at a currency exchange...I was directed here after typing cash money order into Google maps search engine, so you can imagine my surprise once I discovered that I had received incorrect information...Thanks Google and currency exchange inc...smh
