As a high school student that has been living in the West Garfield Park area for over 10 years I have seen no significant changes at all.The food insecurity,poverty, and the violence is ridiculous. If you can’t do your job at least let the community help you out or resign.

Working for the public is hard. Everyone expects things to be done in an instant. No matter how big or small. When in reality the city of Chicago is many moving parts. The 28th Wards African American residents have been neglected and automatically assume the worst. Many of the public workers hear have been mistreated by not just city hall but also the residents. It is amazing what Please and Thank you will get from people. I suggest all of the negative reviewers try that with the public servants whom are providing services in our community. You might be mildly surprised.

I have been living in the Austin neighborhood for almost 5 years. Unfortunately only our building falls under Ward 28, while the rest of the block falls under Ward 29. Next to the building where I live there is an alley that has been full of potholes since we moved here. The alley across the street on the other hand has been resurfaced twice in these four and a half years that Ive lived here. Our alley is falling apart and is in need of new speed bumps. People drive down this alley like it is a highway. When there has been shootings this is the alley they take bc the speedbumps are non-existent here. The sewer in the alley and in front of our home are not working and every time it rains the entire alley and street are flooded and behind our home as well.

Does absolutely nothing. We have written multiple times and contacted the office regarding a neglected alley that is never cleaned. No concern for citizens.

Never calls back residents, Lack of concern for local home owners, throws bachelor parties in public buildings this guy spends more time chasing cameras than he does doing his job. He rents our neighborhoods out as if they are his own. Very poor local service and to think they have been here for years now and we have never seen them do anything positive for our wards, actually we have never even seen him do anything, with the exception of cutting the streets done the middle, so now we suffer from 28 & 24 ward incompetence. I have properties in Lincoln Park and the alderman there would never allow signs to be hung on private property, in our ward they dont care.
