Luis is an amazing barber. He may straight up be the best in Chicago. Luis precisely cuts my son’s hair and he always looks like a rock star! We love MVP Cuts! There are six old school but high tech barber chairs, 4 flat screens TVs playing sports and amazing hip hop music playing. They also give superior service here- always trying to be flexible with their schedule. Book your next cut at MVP you will NOT be disappointed!

Honestly I don’t know what the hype about this place is? I went to get a fade a bit on top and the older barber on the left side does not know how to cut, did my fade all choppy and line up was messed up. I usually go to Giovanni’s on western and Hirsch. If you want a good barber I’d recommend Gio instead. Honestly bro this my first and last time here with this shop smh

This is the best and most professional barber shop in the city of chicago, I live downtown river north neighborhood this barber is only 10mins fromme.

I am an over 50 year old African American with straight wavy hair. Getting a haircut was usually met with dread and trepidation. I would get butchered with clippers and the old standby no. 2 guard. Until..by fate ( or desperation) I wandered off the reservation to Humboldt park. Mind you...there was Salsa and Tito Puentes blasting from the radio and not one conversation was in English. I soujourened on. I walked up to a barber and asked for a cut. This cat ( Alberto) was so cool and inviting I immediately knew I was in good hands. That was 5 years ago. He changed locations. I followed. Aint had a bogus cut in so long, I forgot what they looked like.

Wish I could leave zero stars. I had a miserable experience, the kind of haircuts you get in your nightmares. I came in with more or less a hipster cut about 5in long on top, slicked back, short and high fade on sides and back, but grown in. I asked my barber to take it down to a .5 on the clippers in the sides and back and ONE INCH off the top in a classic undercut. When I was finally turned around, my hair looked like Michael Douglas in the film Falling Down... about 4in taken off the top. We tried for over an hour to salvage it but it was apparent my barber didnt know how to fade hair and I was looking more and more like Vanilla Ice. I had to throw in the towel and have him buzz it all off just to not be embarrassed to go in public. It was my worst haircut experience. To add insult to injury they still charged me full price. I take alot of pride in my grooming, so this was very traumatic.
