Amazing service! Ricardo goes above and beyond for his business. Shop closes at 5 but hes still grinding out here at 8pm. You can tell these people are passionate cause they got my car done in 2 hours after i told them it was my only car. Got a new bumper and it was painted obviously, they work well with you for a good price.

They did some body work on my Jeep and put on a new bumper. Pricing is reasonable and they are super friendly. Although they needed to keep it a bit longer than originally expected, they communicated everything at each point. The attention to detail was worth the wait.

Not good at all I would listen to the reviews but my insurance after I got in to Accident make me go here.Timing bad when they tell you a week to be finished give it another 8 days more.After they fish it I took my car to the dealer to check the job parts not original like the said air bag sensor was hanging the dealer told me if I hit pump my bags will go off parking sensor stop working. Ac they changed it and after 5 months it leaked. Anyway if you paying dont go if your insurance make you thats something else.

This company has a Driver who cant get thru the snow when my other van which has its challenge worse the the tow truck can rip thru the snow. Sad and just lost my business for the future. They pay this guy probably good money but he was scared of the snow

This place is absolutely incredible. The people that’s work here are the most kind hearted people I’ve ever met. They have always taken great care of car & they always get it back to you in a reasonable amount of time. I will never go to another mechanic again! Whether is body damage or mechanical damage, this place will take care of you. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else! You guys are great!!

I had a very dissatisfied customer service experience. It was a nightmare. Very slow repair work. They released my vehicle to me with incomplete work after keeping it for four months and after making multiple claims to my insurance company. They caused damages to my vehicle and did not report it to me leaving me to fix my vehicle on my own. They lied to my insurance company about damages they caused Upon fixing repairs. This was the worst experience ever and I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Professional at their trade. Definitely recommend them, had a Buick rendezvous repaired hear 7 years back, brought a work van, though did not ended up repairing it for other reasons, their staff was more than helpful to me.

I currently have a vehicle there but its taking a long time to get fixed!! It has been over 2 weeks and counting! The receptionist is friendly though!!

Called for tow at 11:05am and was told tow would be there in an hour. No tow called back In an hour and was told tow would be there in 15/20 mins called back 30 mins later and was told the same thing. Guess what still NO TOW. Very unprofessional the dispatch acting as if I was bothering him when I called for an eta. Very unprofessional.

They were professional. Went through a State Farm claim with them. They found additional damage. Glad they took the time to check the entire vehicle. Took a business card. Will keep them in the rolodex.

Horrible. Never had any automotive work done there but there towing service sucks. I scheduled a tow through my insurance provider at 9am and was given an eta of 9:58am. At 10:10am I called because no one had arrived, they said the driver was on another tow job and he would call me with an updated eta soon. Its 11:00am - no call, no tow truck. I call to see what the issue was, they say the driver is 19 minutes away. I call my insurance provider to complain they stated my tow was cancelled but they were going to call on behalf. Its now 11:19am the driver texts saying hes on the way (he should be there by now). I text back at 11:43am, he says hes 15 minutes out. He finally arrives at 12:15pm after: being 2 hours and 15 minutes late, a cancel and reschedule, and being stuck at a train.

After taking my car here to be repaired they kept it for a very long time. Then after I got it back it did not drive well so I took it to a dealership and they found that my car was missing a sway bar and a few other things were left broken. A OK actually let me drive my car when it was totally unsafe. Please don’t take your car here they will do a terrible job and over charge.

The owner or manager Bob has bad communication skills with people had my car 3 months then got smart with me and they had 2/3 rd of their money already will not recommend or go there again ever.

I highly recommend this shop. Weve never dealt with a more honest shop. They do great work and will give you an accurate estimate. My husband has a used car and whenever we run into problems or maintenance issues this is our go to. Every single time we have been pleased with the great work and price. We trust them and their work.

Each time they went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule to get the repairs done. Again, great workmanship. I would highly recommend. While I hope to not see them again soon - in the event I need them - they will be my only call.

Honestly this place is great and i have had nothing but good communication. Very busy shop yes, but yet very good on detail. I understand the wait due to more work needed. Did a great job repairing my car

This place is terrible. I brought in a Buick LaCrosse 2011 for side swipe damages. I was told my vehicle would be ready in a week. I called a week later to check the status then I was told it my car wouldn’t be ready until Monday. I called again on Monday and was told it would not be ready until Tuesday which again no one called to even give me a follow up or status of my vehicle. Again on Tuesday my car was still not ready. My car is finally ready on Wednesday yesterday after having to continuously follow up with them. Upon receiving my vehicle I noticed a scratch on the inside of the window which I immediately notified the guy that brought me my car and then upon further inspection I notice they did a Shabby job with the stripe and Buick symbol on my door my daughter cud have stenciled better than that. Then the following day we noticed they replaced my fog lamp which was not previously damaged with some foil or some material... They are Slow and Very unprofessional and they work is Terrible.. I recently had a car repaired and Gerber Collision my car was ready in 2 days I received follow up calls and details of the repairs. I was told by A OK that I would have to wait a week for details of repairs... You get what you pay for!!!!!! Terrible!!!!!!

On a Saturday night before my flight the next day I was driving toward Midway when something near my front left wheel broke loose. I made it on my flight Sunday am and was to return Tuesday. I found A OK on my phone and was the only shop in the area with multiple reviews and they were all good. On Monday I called and spoke with Tom the shop manager. He was very friendly and told me to bring it on in and offered a tow if I needed. After my flight in I was able to nurse my car to the shop by 1 pm. They put it on the lift and saw I needed to replace my left front axle. Tom made some calls to find a replacement part and said he was going to do his best to make sure I was fixed before closing so I could make my 4 hour drive home. By 5 pm my car was fixed, test driven and I was on my way. Tom even offered me a car wash if I had time which I politely declined in order to get on the road. A OK was very good to me and I highly recommend them.

Ill be giving this place 3 stars. I love Tom. He tries his hardest and very best go keep you satisfied and i love it. They went beyond to get my car fixed and I am so pleased. The mechanics on the other hand....not so much. A week after getting my car back (from a hit and run) I had wiring issues on the area that was supposed to be fixed. Took it back because of my warranty to later find out that my water pump is leaking. I did not like that at all. I still recommended my clients there and they are very pleased with their service.

A-OK Automotive has so many services that they offer. Originally getting a scratch removed and a dent repaired was the main reason for my visit. But when I found out what a great job they did on the dent and scratches repair, I immediately scheduled to bring my car back in for detailing. With fall weather coming in...its nothing like bringing in a new season with a freshly detailed car. This place is awesome!

I would strongly advise anyone even thinking about getting their vehicle fixed here to look else where.... They are nothing but liars, they said my car will be fixed in 4 days and they kept giving me the run around for 2 weeks and even still my car wasnt fixed all the way and the job done was rubbish... It looks like they used old parts and dummied the car together!!!! Dont waste your money here. A NOT okay!

Quick and friendly, A Ok Automotive gets the job done. From reading other reviews, the importance of asking for full details before agreeing to have work done is clear, but A Ok Automotive has made a lot of improvements over the years and now is one of the best repair shops in Chicago, in my opinion. The added benefits of the Yelp deal ($150 of work for $100) and the discounted towing services make A Ok Automotive an easy decision.

I received some damage from a scrape at work. In addition to repairing the noted damage, Tom and his team at A Ok Automotive also detailed my car and kept me posted on their progress toward getting me back in my vehicle and on the road. I am so pleased with the courtesy of the staff and the care with which they treated me and my car. I recommend A Ok to anyone in need of honest, effective service to their vehicle.

I will never go to this shop again,This shop is slow at submitting proper paper work when going through an insurance claim, I had a small issue with my car which on only took less than a week to fix the insurance was great at answering and navigating this issue but this shop came up with every excuse why they couldn’t submit my paper work now it has been 3 weeks and no car but I am spending tons of money paying an uber to get back and fourth to work then when I finally was able to pick up my car my gas tank was pass empty they didn’t even put $5 in gas in there I was almost stranded on the street

The first time I came here was with my Audi which they did great. Since then they have done my wifes Buick and currently have my Semi truck. They do great work and the staff are all friendly.

I highly recommend people to NOT go to this place. They are the biggest liars I ever had to deal with regarding my car. I was told in 2-3 weeks my car would be ready and it ended up being over 6 weeks. But not before I had to hound them about why it was taking so long for them to try and blame my insurance for the delay. I asked to see the invoices for the parts they put on my car and received 3 different answers about why I could not have them which gives me reason to believe theres fraud happening at this place. To make matters worse they loaned me 2 of their cars to please me and probably shut me up. The first car had 3 service lights on and the wheel would shake when you accelerated on the expressway. The 2nd car they gave me was no better. The wheel would shake when I accelerated over 50 and would also shake when I braked on the expressway. About a week into me using the second car it BROKE DOWN on me while I was driving on my way home from work. It came to a point where I do NOT trust these people at all and as a result need to have my car inspected at a trusted body shop now before I can have peace of mind that my car is safe to drive. I will never use their services again and do NOT recommend anyone use their services. Worst customer service of my life and the manager Tom was beyond rude to me and my father with his lies. I wish there was a way to give these people 0 stars because they are not deserving of any stars.

THIEVES!!!!!!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE IT NEGATIVE STARS!!! My car was hit so my insurance chose this shop to get it fixed from-- I know I need a better insurance. Long story short, they took my tire lock key. When I called them back, they gave me the I dont know what to tell you. Weve serviced hundreds of cars since yours blah blah blah. You should have checked before you took the car. So I am suppose to check every single thing that was in my car before I take the car? Even if I did, Tire lock key would be the last thing on my mind. Now im left with 2 options, Order a new key through Acura which takes 2-3 weeks or get the lock broken and then order the new key. GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE WAS MISSING FROM THE CAR!!!! BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU GO TO THEM. TRIPLE CHECK EVERYTHING. MAKE A LIST OF ITEMS LEFT IN THE CAR, BEFORE AND AFTER.

I requested a tow threw a 3rd party and was provided with this company to tow my vehicle. I was told that it would be a two to three hour wait and the cost was about $40. I thought the wait was way to long but since I was at a friends house I was ok with it and the price was really good too. The wait was about 4 hours and the guy who came was VERY rude he also seemed frustrated and had a hard time getting my vehicle on the tow truck. I notified the company that the vehicle need to be put in the garage and I was told that wouldn’t be a problem but it was. He Couldn’t get the car so he left it in the MIDDLE of the alley and pulled of leaving it blocking peoples garages. I called the shop to notify them of this poor service and was told they would send him back NEVER HAPPENED.... I had to have some one else put it in the garage for me. I was so upset and I will never use this company for ANYTHING ever again.

Chicago winters (specifically the salt on the streets) had taken a toll on my car and the floors were rusted through to the point where you could reach under the car on the passenger side and touch the carpeting. My wife and I avoided the problem so long that she and I grew accustomed to keeping our feet positioned in such a way so as to not put weight on the fragile spots.A couple months ago, she and I decided that the time had come to bite the bullet and get the floors fixed. We went to A OK looking for a quote for just the passenger side (that side being in the worst condition) and Tom was able to take a look at our car, bring it into the garage, get us an excellent price, and have his team repair the passenger-side floor to the point where I could put my full weight on those fragile spots without hesitation. They even put on undercoating to protect their work and the surrounding area of the underside. All of that took place in the span of about an hour. The following week, I brought the car back to have them take care of the drivers side floor. Just as before; excellent price and superb work.Then my wife and I took a 6000 road trip to Canada. We put the car on ferries, parked in camp grounds, drove on dirt/gravel roads, and got in and out of the car countless times. We put our floors to the test and A OKs work held up beautifully. I can honestly say that for the first time in a long time, I didnt need to think about where I put my feet while cruising down the highway.I would take my car back there in an instant. If you need any kind of body work done, do yourself a favor and go to A Ok.

This place is a big disgrace. Tom the shop owner has been telling me lies for weeks. He makes a bunch of empty promises. He’s not true to his word at all. I call to check on my car and he’s full of excuses. Tells me he has a bunch of work to do and his receptionist is nowhere to be found and it’s really cold out today. I don’t know what all that has to do with getting my car. DO NOT GO HERE!! So unprofessional!!

My car broke down and I left it at a parking lot. I called for tow truck to come and tow my car a mile away. They said it would be $60 for just a mile tow and they said they would be there within the hour even though we were literally next door to them on the shop & save parking lot. After an hour past we decided to call another shop, they arrived there in 30 minutes and charged us $50. 3 hours later the A OK Automotive tow truck driver called and thought we would be waiting 3 hours for a tow when they were right next door.I wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone.

I am NOT a guy who knows a lot about cars, so when I take my car in for repairs, I expect to get screwed a little on price. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at A Ok. I went in looking to fix a clicking noise coming from under my hood, and the two men who helped me out found the problem immediately and gave me a pretty reasonable price for what amounted to two hours of work. Definitely recommended.

Contacted through Allstate Insurance at 7:06AM...very unprofessional...told 60-70 minutes...called through Allstate again...told delayed but coming soon...called company directly...given ETA of 10AM...called at 10:30 told driver needed my address...OMG was given at 7AM...its 1030...still no truck...ETA now 15 minutes...now I have to take a half day off of work...lost my appointment at the mechanic...never never again...they just lie...unprofessional.

I car needed up being in the shop for almost 3 weeks when it was a 2 to 3 days job for a simple side swipe I had to keep calling everyday cause they made up some excuse about why car was not fixed then they day it was supposed to be done I caught a ride there to find out oh it still wasnt going to be ready and they acted like it was no big deal and gave me some piece of crap loner car to drive home not cool I would go there again under staffed and management are incompetent
