My sister recommended Brachs many years ago when my mechanic retired. When I met Gary and Tom I asked that they assure me that when I leave the shop my car will be safe to drive and that they don’t try to cheat me.I have never been disappointed. I would like to take a few minutes to recognize one of the best Auto Centers that I have ever encountered. Tom was very diligent in getting to the root of what started out as 2 fuel pump replacements, fuel system. Although that was repaired, other electrical components began to fail all the way down to the fuel sensors. After 2 failed attempts at driving the car home and keeping it; Brachs towed the car twice and insisting they would not release the car until it was resolved. They did that and above. I would recommend Brachs to all my friends and family who have any issues with their automobile, and guarantee an professional, courteous and compassionate group of folk over there! They are honest, reasonable, genuinely friendly, and they do good quality work.Gary and Tom always explain whats wrong with your car and answer whatever questions you may have. If they have to do a diagnostic analysis they will email you pictures, call you and explain each one in detail so that you will have a thorough understanding of what your car needs.Once I thought I needed a new alternator and Tom called me and told me that I only needed a new battery and connectors. There were a couple of times that they did not charge me anything because the problem was small.Whenever I go there I see happy satisfied customers. Great professional service here…no over selling of products/services just good old fashioned shop talk and repairs as needed. They provide a digital image of your car’s condition which is a great tool to have. I liked that we came up with a priority list and an action plan!

I recently switched my fleet maintenance program to Brachs after having some issues with my long time vendor. My experience with both Gary and Tom was excellent. They explained their approach to how they would solve the current issue with one of our trucks and how they would keep our fleet maintenance on track going forward. This review has taken me far to long to write. My car was a mess and needed a few things. I received an email with a full breakdown of what needed to be done now and what could wait. No pressure and was completed before they closed for the day. I even received a thank you card in the mail! I took my vehicle in for what I thought was to have my transmission serviced only to find out it was everything, but my transmission. Gary, was very helpful, friendly and professional. Due to my work schedule, I had to drop my vehicle off to the shop and Gary made sure he communicated with me about everything that was happening with my car every step of the way. He was able to make suggestions about recommended services, but not once did he try to force, coerce or make me have anything done; and that is probably what I appreciated the most. From the very beginning Gary reassured me that he would do his very best to figure out what was wrong with my vehicle and try to fix it, and he did just that and more; he was very open and honest with me and did not try to sell me a dream about repairing my vehicle. I am more than pleased with my service will definitely go back again!

I was very impressed by both the work and timeliness in which Brachs did my repairs. I had a full brake job on all axles and my 60,000 service.Legit advice and good communication. Honestly, I was quoted less money elsewhere but those places did not explain the extent of my repairs so those quotes were not apples to apples. Based on the extent of repairs needed, it would have been a sticker shock situation in these other garages. Brachs did not lie. Appreciated.As I am a mid-50s female, and based on a lifetime of experience, auto rip-offs are to be expected. Did not get that at Brachs. Tom was respectful and explained everything. Gary is the shop owner and he provided me his contact info. Very unusual.Moreover, I live in the community. The location is convenient. Did not want to sit in a showroom for 4 hours waiting for my breaks to get done (during Corona!). Dropped off my car two blocks away from home and it was done in 2 hours. I did gardening while I waited.Finally, the convenience, excellent care, and great communication sold me. Ive lived in the same house in Beverly for 30 years. At this point, I dont want to gun for the 10 or 20 bucks I can save maybe someplace else. I want a garage I can trust that makes the whole situation easy for me.Thats Brachs.The staff is respectful. The work is reliable/strong. The staff is knowledgeable and able to explain your repairs for you. You can go to Alsip or Hometown or Back of the Yards but you wont get a better value than Brachs.

My dad, who was a mechanic himself, found these people. Dad told me to let Brachs, and only Brachs, work on my cars. I happily followed Dads advice and have never regretted it. In 20 years (and four cars) Ive never had to return to have them re-fix anything, nor have I ever been gouged or told to have unnecessary work done. Ive never had a bad experience. My only concern is: what am i going to do when Gary Brach retires?

You want your car done right? You want it tomorrow and ready? This is the place to go to. Theyre pricey and you have to come up with the money and a cut off finger sometimes but its very well worth it. Brake lines need replacing on a Mazda RX7? New brakes needed on a Plymouth Voyager? New headlight needed on a 2010 Mustang? Emission problems on a 2008 Chevy Impala? That 2016 Toyota Camry wont start for a reason? That 1998 Mercury needs need front wheel bearings? That 2012 Ford Crown Victoria needs a new power steering pump? That 1995 Chevy Caprice needs a new optispark distributor and a new electric fuel pump? These guys can do it and do it right the FIRST TIME. Get the cheap alley mechanic that screws up your car out of your mind. Get these guys. Make sure you got the dough ready! This is where John DeLorean shouldve went to, these guys would have found his mistake and he wouldnt have to get on cocaine worrying about where did he go wrong at. He would still be alive. Remember, you will still be alive, after you leave Brachs, with a car or suv thats fixed RIGHT.

This shop is very nice and helpful. I have an extended warranty auto plan that they accepted I was happy about that but I wasn’t happy the fact that the extended warranty company I have gave you guys such a hard time therefore I will be dropping America auto shield. I felt branh’s was very honest in repairing my car and gave me the best advice. Sorry you had to go through what you had to go through with my warranty company but you guys are great and keep it up because I will be doing business again with this shop. I see why you have good reviews and I don’t mind going across town to get great service here. Thanks again

Overall excellent experience for some minor repairs and maintenance on my Toyota Prius. Communication was excellent, full detailed recommendations on work to do now and later. Did not feel pressure to perform anything, but Tom was persistent on preventative maintenance. He never stated an emergency for any repair, which is surprising from an auto repair shop. My experience at Brachs Auto Center has been nothing but spectacular, whether it is for a small check-up or more significant repairs.
