The Letterman is an all around fantastic property with amazing staff, location, amenities, and more. It has so much to offer with a great value! One thing I really love is that this building is pet friendly. The Letterman is an excellent home for furry friends too! 5 stars from me!!
Love love love this place staff is on point property very clean and friendly
I had a great tour! Lydia is very informative and enthusiastic about the building and the state of the art amenities that are offered to residents. Lydia took her time making sure all of my questions were answered and was very professional during the entire process. What a great experience!
This building is absolutely amazing. I love the old building turned modern and new. The apartments are a great size with amazing views. The General Manager Keegan Is awesome and super friendly. Very knowledgeable staff! Definitely recommend
I just moved into the Letterman on Saturday, and only have good things to say about it! The apartments are super modern and spacious. Management is extremely helpful and responsive as well. Would recommend.
The management staff is super friendly and supportive. Wifi, locations, security are superb. Friendly neighbourhood. The price is indeed worth with all of the experiences and convenience that this place provides.
Prices are very fair for location, and the apartments look great. They come fully furnished with all utilities included and a number of amenities. I would definitely recommend this to students and anyone looking to lease in the area.
The Letterman Building is a great reuse of an Old Building Made NEW!! The staff is very helpful and I look forward to seeing what happens next! Keegan the General Manager is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the Building and her staff is Top Notch! Would be a great living experience for anyone!
The Letterman is my #1 choice to live in Chicago with the convenient amenities, Target, Starbucks, and a quick commute to work. I toured with Keegan and loved how she already made me feel at home. I can’t wait to move!
Cant say enough great things about the property and the people! Beautiful units and great amenities! Lydia was so helpful and such a joy to work with, cant recommend her enough for anyone looking to tour or has questions!
Nice! I been here since Aug 2019 and found this place best in class. It is near to the campus and the downtown with a lot of restaurants and fun activity areas.
The Letterman is a wonderful building with such a wide variety of floorpan options! Not to mention, the location is fantastic. The Letterman staff is always friendly and helpful as well!
I LOVEEE this property. Quite possibly the best place I’ve ever stayed. All workers are polished and professional.
Staff is so helpful, location is walkable to everything, and the views are amazing! We love living here!
The Letterman Chicago is awesome. The staff are wonderful, the location is perfect, & the loft styled apartments has made this place feel like home!!
The Letterman staff is very friendly and helpful. This a great value for the West Loop with a great location!
They will find lots of reason to charge you money! Not recommend!
I toured the property back in September and I loved the bright open spaces in the apartments and the common areas/ study rooms were cool. I was so looking forward to moving in but decided to put our cross country move on hold. Keegan was a great tour guide!
The Letterman is a great choice, especially when you are new in town. The location is amazing, it feels like authentic Chicago. Keegan was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction not only in anything I needed in the building but in the city itself. I miss Chicago, because of the Letterman!!!
The property is amazing, coming from New York City, this property made it easy for me to transition to Chicago. Location is prime for restaurants and the city in general. Meanwhile, management was amazing, Keegan and Lydia are nothing but helpful.
Living at Automatic Lofts has been a great experience for me. There are large common areas which are well maintained (thanks maintenance/cleaning staff!!) and pleasant places to socialize, study or relax, 24 hour security at the door and great continuity and support from the well staffed front office over my already multi year (and lease) experience of having lived here. Location is very convenient, laundry (plus dry cleaning drop off and pick up available on site!) and gym ( on the smaller side but well equipped maybe just needs an additional machine/equipment set or two for leg exercises to perfectly suit my needs ) as well as all utilities included with rent - all really helps make for a much better experience than I have had at other comparably priced locations. Thanks!!!
YALL NEED A NEW PROPERTY MANAGER
I moved from NYC to Chicago with ease thanks to the staff at Automatic Lofts. They even gave me a cart to move all my things from the garage to my apartment. The 1 bedroom apartment that I am in is massive, and I love the loft style living. The furnished apartment comes with Herman Miller furniture (look it up, its very nice). The price is very reasonable for the location (only a block away from UIC Halsted). And the food and bars in the neighborhood are amazing. The staff also was nice enough to give me a quick break down of the neighborhood. I highly recommend this apartment complex.
Hi Keegan,Sorry to hear that you are out with COVID, thank you for taking the time to reach out. The irresponsibility that yourself and the office staff have shown towards the virus since you have take over is complete careless and it does not suprise me that the virus is traveling around the office. No one wears masks, there is no social distancing, and to see that the office is passing out donuts today just baffles me!! Numbers are spiking to an all time high and Varsity Campus has done nothing to protect the residents!!! You have created a community spread, most places would have shut the office down to have it proffesionally cleaned. The health department should be contacted to stop careless acts like this. The only thing Varsity Campus caress about is you signing another lease.
Great Staffs and Fast WIFI .Also the utilities are included in the rent which is great. Great location where you can easily go to target, UIC school, train station, and etc.
Hate to live here. While signing the lease the management is good but later on they dont even care about what your issues in the apartment are
Jasmine was the first one I spoke to when I was deciding to come to automatic lofts, she was patient and very welcoming! She has helped me so much throughout my time living here and I am so thankful!
As a current resident of the Automatic Lofts, I highly commend the office staff; they have gone above and beyond in times of need which has truly enhanced my experience residing here. Due to their excellent customer service, I have felt very safe and trusting of the management. I also want to commend, Jasmine Bishop, who has been overwhelmingly hospitable; she has been instrumental in my positive experience while residing at the Automatic Lofts.
I havent had any experience with this place i am looking for a apartment i need it soon as possible. looking for someone to help me quickly as possible. Blessing
I am still new to the area, but so far the Automatic Lofts has been the perfect place for my transition. The units are very spacious compared to what Ive seen when touring other student housing properties in the area and I love that my one payment covers everything, so I dont have to pay separately for electricity or water. They have a great cable package that even includes HBO, so that was a nice surprise. Management has been very helpful and accommodating in getting me settled and putting me with roommates who are similar to me. I am not used to having a laundry facility, but it is only $1.50 per wash and per dry, which seems to be the city standard. The free coffee is also a nice perk to get me going in the morning. Its also literally right across the street from the blue line, so getting around the city is really easy. Overall, a great place to stay where I hope to be for the rest of my schooling.
Worst staff ever, extremely rude people at the front desk, fr what you paid you can get an Airbnb with other friend for a month and have your own place
Poor management.Defective doors, locking yourself out on its own, then you get charged $25 for somebody to open your door. They give you a free pass for that kind of situation but still charge you the fee and want to hear nothing when you try to explain you still have it and you shouldnt be charged. They will try to scam you every single dollar they can! They are not nice! You cant even have your girlfriend/boyfriend over for more than 5 days in a row, which is quite an issue if you leave in different cities. All of that is kind of problematic giving the price, you basically pay a lot for a small room (sometimes without any window or light) and not feel at home. You feel controlled like a kid, in your own place of living.Run away from this place! There is no good side to such a place!
I lived there last year and was there recently to visit my friends little brother and was happy to still feel welcomed and see everything in good condition. I had a great experience at the lofts and loved my stay there. The staff is great and always helpful. I highly recommend the lofts .
I enjoyed my stay in Automatic Lofts over this summer.I had a hard time getting help from some of the management in the office about subleasing contracts. The only manager that was very helpful was Laura.Laura and Jasmine, who isnt a manager, were extremely helpful. They made the transition very smooth. If you are interested in leasing an apartment, ask for Jasmine or Laura.
I waited until my contract with automatic lofts was over, because management seems to take a bitter approach to individuals who want the rules and law enforced. My bathroom smelled like weed every morning from the apartment above us. My roommate and I had asked about this multiple times since we would smell like weed while getting ready for work. One time and employee came in and said Oh no, thats just the mildew... Wait... how about you fix your mildew problem then?... The guys above us were basketball players and I am fairly certain that management was just protecting them. There is a rule that you cant have more than 5 guests per person living in the unit and that parties cant be past midnight on weekends/10pm on weekdays. The apartment above us repeatedly was approved to have more than the allotted number of guests 30-45 guests in a small loft apartment with thin walls. They would party until 3-5am. I was told by management that they were not aware of this problem. I lived there for 2 years, and I had called at least once a week for months at a time. How did they not know? I was told that they would take care of the problem. Guess what, they never did. Until the day I moved out, this was an issue. It got to the point where the apartment above us would come down to own door and threaten us or call us on the internal line to threaten us. When this was brought up to management, we got a response that it was unacceptable. It still happened. Laura was a good manager. Melissa was awful and repeatedly had called myself and other roommates liars about certain issues. I am not sure what her problem with us was. When the management tries to sell you a room saying that it is great for professional and post graduate students... do not believe them. I will probably get a response from management saying we are sorry for your experience. Please leave feedback at JMGrealty blah blah, but I left my feedback with your management. How about you check the records and see how many times front desk security tried to help me get control of noise and weed issues.UPDATE: The owners responded below saying to reach out about giving feedback because they take it VERY seriously. I emailed the provided email address, and guess what. I NEVER heard back from the company. This has been over 2 months ago.
These place use to be called automatic lofts, the y recently change names, it was full of complains about rude staff, rude front desk people and non ethical treatment in the leasing contracts, I personally use to go here and verify how awful place was these, mostly by the treatment the staff gives you
I found the Auto Lofts on google and thats why I wanted to write a review over here. I lived in the UIC dorms before, and I am extremely happy I moved in to the Lofts. I agree that the price is high, but it pays off. This is a perfect solution for international students who do not want to buy any furniture but still want to have a really nice place. All the furniture is included and most of the work orders are done withing hours. I have lived in the lofts for 1 year and I would still be here if it wasnt because my academic program is over. The staff is great and really helpful
As an international student, this place is more than enough for me. I feel safe and the university is close as well. This is all I need as a student. I hope that they work hard to improve this wonderful building more and more. After almost a year of living here, and after 6 months of writing my first review about this place. I have experienced some disadvantages of living in this building. The walls are paper thin and can hear the street and my neighbors through the walls. The WiFi isnt so great either. Although it is a great place for students who go to UIC, as I mentioned on my last review. Wish if they change their WiFi service instead of this cheap service they have, and we as a residents are paying more than $1500. The washing machines are different story, they don’t put something on the machines to let me know if they are not working and needed maintenance. So we have to struggle put the clothes in the machine and we don’t know if they are working or not, if not we have to pick up all the clothes and put them in a different machine, sounds too much to do for doing a laundry. Hope this will help for someone looking to live here, consider the disadvantages I worte here.
You can find somewhere better for sure. No sound insulation in the walls, windows into your roommates room. This place is trash. Basically everyone living there moves out and never renews.Owner Response: You literally have no idea what a Loft is do you? Open Floor plan? Its a shot gun living room with a dry walled refrigerator in the middle of the kitchen island. Work on your STC ratings cause theyre probably not within code. Also maybe put lights in the rooms? Residents have to bring their own lamps or else live in complete darkness, how is that Luxury Apartments?
The walls seemed really thin here and the rooms seemed like they would share a lot of common noise in each apartment. The layouts were kinda weird, but it would be nice to have 2 bathrooms in a 4 room apartment. The location is really good, but the price is pretty high.
This is the worst place to live i highly so not recommend it. They are so rude and the most u helpful staff i’m so upset to be living here!!!!!
I DO NOT recommend to live here. I lived here for a while, and my creditability is undoubtable. At the very beginning, while I was signing contract with them at the earliest time ( at least 5 months before the contract begins) they promise me that they will give me the area that I want, where I ended up at the second floor close to the nosiest street and with an unexpected loud neighbour. I asked if I could move to a better place, they told me there will be a fee charged to that if I want to move..... I understand their difficulties on assigning everyone to the apartment which will fit their requirements so I backed down and accepted the reality.... The first year I found out that this apartment is really BAD at SOUND PROOF. In the middle of the night, I can hear my neighbour partying so hard and the next day I got woke up by them playing loud music and this really STRONG SMELL (Foods they made) came out from their apartment. I emailed the apartment office, they took care of it at that night, but it happened again and again which is quite frustrating for both me and the neighbours around as residents because of the sound proof PROBLEM!! We were NOT INFORMED about this at the beginning before we signed the contract, We are not signed up for this Controlled life style. The manager apologized very politely so I tolerated and keep staying with them for another year. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED! I got bug bites everywhere on my body. I showed them the bumps and asked the office to find someone to exterminate the bugs. In order to get someone to exterminate the bugs they asked me to do a physical check so that they know its not because of my personal allergic problems. I NEVER HAD ANY ALLERGIC REACTIONS! So I have to bear the bug bites for another couple of weeks because it takes time to make reservation and do a physical check then ask them to find a company to do the extermination.... the doctor proved the bumps are definitely bug bites. and after they did several times of exterminations I never got bug bites but it took sooo long to solve the problems and I got accused for causing the problem which is another frustrated experience.... Not to mention that I wanted to get my package from the front desk but the lady question me and said cant you see I am busy right now. CAN YOU WAIT? .... then I watched her cleaning the desk and organized everything on the desk for a few minutes then she checked out my packages...... they had been rude to me and my roommates.. Sorry I cant tolerate any of these anymore, the price is definitely not worth it based on the service.... there are more problems than what I just said believe it or not.... if the apartment cant solve any of these problems, I am not sure whats gonna happen to your business...
Be aware that they will not give you what they advertise on their website!I ended up in an apartment facing the inside of the building with no light coming in all day. Nobody EVER told me that such a thing might have happened and me and my roommates were 100% sure we were going to have a street view apartment. We are very disappointed and depressed. Even at noon it seems like it is 5am.Moreover the loft itself is not comfortable, the bathrooms are terrible and they continue to block. I strongly advise you guys NOT to come live here EVER. Go to Taylor lofts or check other cheap options on hotpads.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!. I manage apartments and I am appalled at how these apartments are run! When my son moved in, I spent at least 4 hours cleaning his filthy and disgusting apartment. When my son moved out, he had left some stuff behind that he would pick up at a later time. They agreed to give those items to his roommate but failed to do so. Instead they were put in a closet and when he went to pick items up, things were missing. I have received cleaning charges, which is absurd since I spent 4 hours cleaning it when he moved in. Staff is extremely unprofessional and even upper management will not return your calls. Parents, I would avoid this place at all cost. Living on the streets would be a better option!! My son said it is just a party pad.
I lived at The Automatic Lofts during my first year as a fashion student at The Illinois Institute of Art. There I met some of my dearest friends and had some of my most fond dressing memories. The people are great, stylish and really aimed for success. You came can party downtown Uber, walk or cab to the Lofts and end it with a pool game. We had dance classes and pancakes. It was so fun! There were never dull moments and you felt special and safe. I would recommend to the city girl that loves to work out, have thrift and high end stores around and who enjoys the luxury of meeting diverse people with goals in mind. I really love the lofts and miss them dearly. Its a home not a place. Yay Automatic Lofts!
Avoid living here!Their sound insulation is non-existance, the noise would come from both your neighbors and outdoor streets. The management team claims they would talk to the neightbors about the noise, and nothing would change for months, they also stop responding to your messages after first few times. My roommate tried to tell the manager about the noise that comes from the air conditioner right next the wall (causing the whole room to vibrate), guess what she said? I dont think its loud or disturbing. You can not live here if you cant stand it. Its not fair for me that you say I should stay here and experience it for myself. The interior decoration style that they called a feature means you get a room with zero overhead lights, an abnormally high celling that contantly drops small bricks and the walls are as thin as cardboards. In the winter, the poor air-conditioning isnt even close to being enough to warm the room. Add salt to injury, the windows are not sealed properly, so you would feel the cold wind coming in from the gaps, the curtains would be dangling. They also tricked me that they dont have any 9-month lease apartment left. When they found out that I was talking to a 3rd party agent to rent, they then changed their statements and said their were 9-month apartment available. The only good thing I have to say is the location is near the UIC and blue line station. That is if you could suffer from noise, the weed smell, and the coldness.
Really, really elegant place to live in, have visited multiple times. They provide everything! Including cable TV, fast internet, lounging areas and everything! Would totally recommend this place.
A few friends and I were contemplating on living here. We have friends who have lived here. We all like the building and the neighborhood especially. The office staff seems nice for the most part. One of my friends complained about their security guards and we dont believe anything was ever done. I dont want to come home to snappy attitudes. Especially the skinny and heavyweight African American guards. I also wish the prices were a little cheaper.
Dont move here if you are someone whos social and enjoys having people over OR even if you are just someone who has a boyfriend that doesnt live in this building. Its IMPOSSIBLE to have people over. They have a strict, completely unnecessary policy for guests. For example, your BOYFRIEND/FAMILY MEMBER/PARENT cant stay at your apt if you arent there. So yes, if your mother flys out of town to visit, she has to physically leave the apt if you have to go school.... Even if shes already signed up as a guest. Also they dont accept IDS if they dont look like you just got them from the DMV. So they will kick your guest to the curb, regardless of where they are from, unless they have a manager on duty to solve the issue. This place doesnt treat you like a student. It treats you like you are at a facility center or jail. You could probably find somewhere else thats CHEAPER and nicer and more chill.
Pros: 1) Management and team are extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful: I had a few issues (moving in early, carpet cleaning) and everything was taken care of in a timely manner.2) High security: theres a security guard at the front desk 24/7 and you need a key card to access the building.3) Location: located 50 meters from a Blue line and right across from UIC, ~1 mile from the Loop.4) Free: utilities, heating, and high speed WiFi (in your apartment and throughout the building) are all included in your rentCons: 1) Pricey for student housing, but quite affordable compared to the rest of Chicago.2) Student dorms: so it can get loud at times, but its peaceful M-Th and Sunday.3) Pay for laundry on-site, but its cheap, something like $1.50 per load.
This place claims they’re “student housing” despite no university affiliation and use this to prey on students and stick them left and right where they can make money. If you end up in a lawsuit about a lease with these guys, find a lawyer, and you won’t get stepped on. They are not legally sound but will try to pressure you and do what it takes to profit off of you. Management doesn’t look after nor care for their residents. Would suggest avoiding this place.
Worst apartment out there for students. Id give 0 star if I could. Horrible, rude front desk, worst guest policy.
Their building lawyer is not informed regarding basic tenant rights.
This is one of the most poorly run buildings I have ever seen. Parking is horrible, wifi is horrible, and most people at the desk dont know what theyre doing or will give you different answers for everything. Laundry is very expensive and cost maybe around eight dollars per load. the rooms are nothing special, weve lost hot water and have had no television service. The hot water is fixed now but no one in the office has any answers for our TV problem so it looks like we are spending the rest of our time with no tv. During the lease signing process they charge you extra for just about anything they can.
Living here now and counting down the days until my lease is over
DO NOT LIVE HERE! I am 100% filing a lawsuit against this place. Just within the first week of moving in the oven exploded in my face. The best part is that management completely thinks me and my roommates are lying about it. Melissa from management told my roommate to not use the word explode because it didnt happen, but no it straight up exploded while I was using it. She asked for a video of it as if we saw it coming. They also tried to blame me, asking me what I put in there, but even the engineer they sent agreed that it was a circuit issue in the oven. I also got massive bite marks all over my legs that were insanely painful just after a few nights of sleeping here. The place has a bug problem, I see ants and silverfish all over the place, in the bedrooms, in the kitchen drawers and cabinets. This place is not fully furnished so dont believe whatever they say. They gave me a broken wardrobe and took a whole month to replace it. Our couch in the living room is totally ripped up and gross and they refuse to replace it. If anything is wrong with the apartment they blame it on you every time. When we moved in the place was FILTHY and they tried to say we did it. I dont know how I can walk into a place and make it look like a storm hit within five minutes but dont expect them to do anything. Melissa has hung up on not only our calls, but our moms calling asking them to do something about the place. Its so dirty and disgusting all of us have been sick. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES OR MODEL ROOM. They also try to advertise that the first month of rent is free, but you move in August 17th and they expect rent September 1st, so you only get two weeks. Management is so ruthless. Theyll just avoid you or call you a liar to your face. With how much they charge for rent they should also know what kind of people theyre dealing with, every single person in my room comes from a family of lawyers and there is way too much that they get away with. I wish I could give this place zero stars.
Walls are thin, and they have an obnoxious silverfish bug issue that never gets fixed. For dorms through the rooms are big and everyone has some private space in the unit. If you can handle bad management, then you could live here.
Very nice and comfortable place where to live, very close to UIC and to the blue line, also Target is only five minutes walks.
I really love living at auto lofts.Location is great ( Target nearby, Whole Foods on Halsted, 24 hour walgreens too and 1 block from UIC - also great central location for driving/riding to/from anywhere and indoor parking is a plus )Lobby is spacious and regularly cleaned - pool tables / ping pong and three tvs but also nice for studying or relaxing with a good book.My experience with office staff maintenance/cleaning staff and front door staff has been that they are helpful and friendly - also a lot more staff available (and more often) than in non student housing in my experience - maintenance request responses have been quick and effective for me and though the original building is indeed older than most other apartment buildings I have lived in - still actually minor building wide problems seem on my end to have decreased in my time here - including also improvements in modern amenities such as better wireless internet ( included!) coverage and speed since I moved in originally.Events like free breakfast, game night and open mic night help for getting to know about staff and other new residents - it would be nice to see even more similar events in future.Anyway, based on my experience I would ( and do ) recommend auto lofts as a good location to live near downtown. Probably especially for uic students but I was at Roosevelt grad school when I moved in and it was still convenient - also good mix of people from different schools and backgrounds is also a nice contrast to the dorms
Terrible experience with the management team. They try to make an extra buck off of unsuspecting students where they can. They are not legally sound, from their leasing contracts (which you can get out of) to the way the building is managed with all the resident halls, and eventually your room, smelling like cigarette smoke and weed (which they refuse to deal with.)You can find another place with a management team that doesn’t try to step on their residents and for a better price. In my experience, I suggest to avoid living here.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOUSING FACILITY I HAVE EVER LIVED IN. Students please save yourself the money, time, and hassle, and pick another loft housing to stay at. They take absolutely no care of their residents, constantly impose problems, and are all around scum of the earth. I have never written a review about anything until now, because everybody seriously needs to know how poor of a business this is. I fell into the trap thinking this would be a solid place to live and signed a 6 month lease, and within a month I knew I would be unable to stay. Luckily I was able to break my lease and not pay them another dime. Our room #203 was infested with roaches for the entire time I lived there and had I had to report this 7 times before anything was done. They totally neglect their residents, the walls were crumbling, heater did not work properly, we constantly got our room searched, had god awful neighbors, and I was paying OVER $1,000 A MONTH along with 3 other people in the room. I wish I could give this place 0 stars, because of how crooked and sheisty Alex Decamp and the Lofts are. This place and everybody running it is trash. I am still debating on wether or not to report them. Whatever you do, DO NOT IGNORE THIS REVIEW. Im trying to help out future students and residents by making sure they do not make the same mistake I did by living at the Automatic Lofts.
I would not recommend this for Ai students. The Facilities themselves are not in great condition, your will most likely need constant maintenance for problems that should not be occurring regularly. Im sure someone has mentioned this before but the staff at the front desk rarely know what they are doing and will direct you to someone else who more often than not also has no idea. This is probably Ai specific but, when designating damages upon move in, many documents were lost and I ended up having to pay over $2,000 in damages that I had nothing to do with. Overall a terrible experience. There are better and cheaper housing options elsewhere.
The location is awesome being right next to the UIC Halstated Blue line. Also, free starbucks during the day and small gym are a nice plus. However, I do not recommend this place to someone who wants their house clean and noise-free. The wood ceiling looks nice at first until dirts fall on your food and bed. I had to clean the dirts falling from the ceiling almost daily. It fell on my bed, food, table, carpet, just about everywhere!!! Also, the doors and walls are basicaly non-existence. I can hear every little noise happening in the living room, next door neighbors, and even the room above. As a sensitive person to sound and dirtiness, It was a torture to live here... but if you dont care about dirt and noise, this apartment offers a great location, wifi, and other amneties.
I dont recommend it . But its good for UIC students
AutoLofts is great for adults seeking a caring, accomodating, interactive culture. The building is very well maintained and they offer many things for students and residents that other buildings do not. Laundry is inexpensive for an apt building, and they have common areas with billiards, ping pong, TVs, computers and free coffee! Our maintenance requestS were taken care of within an hour of asking them during a Wednesday afternoon. New wifi is excellent and staff are all incredibly nice and helpful. Definitely recommend this place, especially if you are a student.
I think if I was an undergrad student I would absolutely love this place. As an older tenant in his mid 20s and in grad school, staying here was definitely a compromise but for the price it was ok. Maintenance and staff, admin, facilities, security (despite being dorm like on the sign in rules-surrender your drivers license and photo iD on camera)y, and amenties are amazing. Although it gives off the dorm vibe, I still enjoyed the size of my room, my own bathroom, and overlooking the west loop area. Convience to the trian stop at UIC halstead is what was the sealed the deal. You wont find to many apt conviently near the train line (blue), near greektown restaurants and bars, near UIC, near a top notch dance studio, as well as target all within 5 min walks. THE ONLY THING I CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT IS THE NOISE /partying ON WEEKENDS. UNFORTUNATELY, FOR A PLACE THAT HOUSES MOSTLY 19 YEAR OLD -22 YEAR OLD IMMATURE COLLEGE KIDS, ART STUDENTS AND HAIR SALON SCHOOL PARTY GIRLS YOU CANT EXPECT YOUR STANDARDS TO BE EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH. If you can get past the strong dorm vibe that this place gives off, buy some ear plugs and have an interest in being close to everything in West loop/SOuth loop and UIC area consider this a steal. Otherwise, use it as an opportunity for temporary living until you find something better that suits your needs. Once again though, the staff is amazing and were always quick to respond to emergencies and problems in the apt.
Very unfriendly front desk staff 😒
Party’s all the time, not even a place to study
I use to live in automatic lofts with 3 roommates at the last week for me in the place they steal my expensive items that’s cost 5000 dollars and the manager won’t do anything to help, who works there are not professional with the resident, also the building is so old.
Pretty good place...
Paper thin walls
Security is rude and sucks
Good ubication
