I purchased an economy class ticket through smartfares. In any case, on the LOT website it lists that travellers can bring up to 2 pieces of luggage for free. I had one small underweight checked bag which they charged me $140 to check on the way to Europe and back. The crazy part is, the polish couple next to me were having the same issue but the lady let them take theres on for free. I explained to the representative and she said these were the rules. This was a complete rip off and clearly if youre polish you are privileged with their airlines.
Horribile!! Disgusting service!!! My flight is delayed for almost 17 hours!!!I have connected flight but I got on my email an update time of departure only for one of them!! My plans are completely ruined this Airline. Do not recommend. 👎
I would give them zero stars if I could. If you have any sort of an issue l, there is no way you will get a hold of anyone. Their numbers don’t work and no one replies to written communication.
The worst customer service ever. Unfortunately I have their voucher so Im dealing with them but for a last time. There is no option to pay with voucher online but they laying to me that it is. When I talked to their representative after two hour hold he disconnected me. Stay a way their are ignoring all rules of a proper business conduct.

I used to fly with them regularly prior to COVID. The price they charge right now is the same amount I used to pay before, but they basically dropped their customers service. They do not have any customer service whatsoever. Tried calling for 4 days to request wheelchair assistance and no reply over WhatsApp and the message. The phone number they have listed everywhere just says call at a different time. Right now Im on hold with their Warsaw headquarters and paying $0.50 minute for international call. Im on hold for over 20 minutes now. This is outrageous considering I paid $1,300 for my ticket.
Dont buy tickets from them go to expedia way way cheaper by 30% worst airline ever i also paid extra for specific seats and they told me sorry its taken and never refunded my money and good luck

I have used them for past two years.First time was good. Last time plane take off was late for 3 hrs both ways. From chicago ti europe and from europe to chicago.I was late on my second plane.Also some of my stuff was missing.They opened my bag and stole some items.I will try them one more time
Perfect fly, very good food, the newest airplane (Dreamliner) tremendous movie collection, perfect service. I strongly recommend it, and if it would be possible I will never use the other lines, like Lufthansa or Norway air. In Norway Air I had to beg for water, nobody took care of me because I had cheap ticket without food - I was like invisible passenger, the crew simply did not see me.
We flew Business Class from Chicago direct to Warsaw. We had booked our flight in November 2018 and chose the direct flight because we didnt want to chance missing a connection or losing luggage. We arrived at the airport 6 hours prior to boarding to assure we would have no problems and stand a better chance of getting to Warsaw with our luggage and we rested in the business lounge which was nice. It was a little crowded at first but thinned out about an hour after getting there. Once we boarded the plane the flight crew was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed great meals and comfortable seats. We sat in 2E and 2F. The flight was uneventful with little turbulence and when we arrived we went to baggage claim to get our bags. Sadly 1 was missing. When we went to claims the young lady took our info and said it would hopefully be in on the 9a.m. flight. I must say I am disappointed because we spent top dollar to get priority service and still was let down. We are here on our 40th anniversary trip to Europe for 2 1/2 months and I hope this isnt a forecast of our trip. Fingers crossed they will do better!

After his business hrs on Oct 15th/16th,evem took his personal time to sit down and talk to me....was unbelievable...HE WAS MY ANGEL....and the professionalism, kindness,of polish crew is...BEYOND AND ABOVE....

This was my first time flying them with a mixed review. For our outbound flight they subcontracted out to another airline. Service didnt rate. Inferior seating and not the airliner stated going outbound. The return trip was Lott airliner and crew. They were great. Service and food were excellent.

I used to fly with LOT and it was the last time. Besides the plane 787 which is nice the whole experience is just a nightmare. It is my second time I am flying from Warsaw-Poland to Chicago and again the flight was delayed, there was still a chance to be on time if the pilot flew a little bit faster as they do on the international flight to catch up and be on time at arrival. We arrived 30 minutes late and then spend 1h and 20 minutes in the plane before we were allowed to leave the plane. Then another hour waiting for damn luggage. It is just lack of performance, professionalism and customer care. Again I missed my flight to St. Louis, if you fly with LOT you need to take one day layover because there is no way you be able to get to you second connection within a 2 hours layover. I will never recommend this airline again.
If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Personnel is ill-informed. I tried to buy an additional baggage online and over the phone, could not do it. One agent said you can, other said you have to go to airport in advance, the third one said no, you have to buy it at the airport on the day of flight. All three gave me different prices, the last one said I will have to pay $160 for a bag. That is ridiculous. Tickets are expensive enough, and then they charge you extra for a seat and for additional luggage. Very unprofessional.
I got a txt message on the 23rd of March at 2pm that flight from 10:25pm was moved to March 20!!! Got a heart attack! Called Lot, choose Polish and nobody picked up for 20 minutes. Called in English and got the answer in two minutes! Mistake! They are sorry! Really???The new Dreamliner is so cramped like they will be carrying pigs not people. Even pigs deserve better. I fly Lot because there is no other reasonable choice but I prefered old planes and old service!
Probably last time I fly with them. Remember their 767 being more comfortable and just plain rude flight attendants. Flew October 20 to Warsaw and paid for alcohol and the flight attended kept moving without serving it to me, she completely forgot to serve it to me lol.. My flight back on November 11 was even worse... Just unpleasant attendants not offering us water. When I went back to ask for some they ignored me and after a while one points at the cart to pour it myself. Food was horrible but that is probably beyond their control. Funny how great they were selling their for profit Alcohol etc that they get commission on..

Since Lot was bought out, the customer service has been horrible. Cramped plane with minimal seating, unpleasant flight crew and demeanor. The food was out of a microwavable box. Both my wife and I tried for an upgrade to business and couldnt get in touch with anyone from customer service department multiple times. We waited for over 40 minutes and still no answer. We will never fly these airlines again.
My luggage disappeared while under LOT’s responsibility in a flight from Chicago to Dusseldorf. It was never found.More than 50 days later all I’ve got were empty excuses while being sent from one department to another. LOT Is clearly trying to avoid its responsibilities.This company doesn’t have any respect for its passengers or local regulations,AVOID!

One of the worst flight we had. Staff is unfriendly and rude. When I was in the corridor with my toddler, one of the hostess scorned us with her look why we are on the corridor. Plus, they did not offer kid menu from Warsaw to Chicago. When we arrived Chicago Ohare our luggage was not there. I called them for lost baggage for one week and luckily they found our luggage at the end.
I would give 0 stars if i could, worst experience ever. They lost my baggage, and they were so indifferent about it, not ever tried to help, made me only loose my time going to the airport and ask for an update for finding my baggage, because they would not answer the phone or not return calls when they said they would. They told me to make a list with all the things i had, date of purchase and price. Did that for nothing, because they just dont care. So my baggage just vanished in Warsaw, and I have the feeling they did not even try to find it.
Really good flights to Warsaw on the Boeing 787 and just great service Ive always flown through here and I think Ive just become accustom to it

Terrible experience, my flight was cancelled with no explanation and they did not rebook it right away. I missed the first two days of my vacation and Ill never get that back. By European law, they had to pay me 600 Euros so at least I got something for my time and aggravation.

Went from US to Poland and back. Bought ticket on Dreamliner with LOT got to the airport and they put me in super old air Belgium plains. Super confused, if I want to fly air Belgium I would buy ticket with them. That’s first and last time I flew with LOT
