I took my taxes in at 9 am and still after 8pm no response from them. I called and they were supposed to call me back but didnt. My taxes are like 1 max to do them and 9 hours later no call. I was THE FIRST ONE IN THERE. How could my taxes not be done yet. Never again.

Very poor service and not professional. I was misled from the initial phone call and they completely wasted my time. The H&R Block representative I dealt with gave me incorrect bookkeeping information. I would highly recommend contacting someone else. She didnt even care that she wasted my time.

It might not apply to your situation but i am putting this review here so other people will know how this company is.After multiple phone calls, waiting on hold for over 40 minutes then being transferred I came to this location while on hold. I initially called this location about my issue and the person I spoke to about my card balance suddenly going from over 600$ to zero overnight, suggested I spent it. This upset me. The situation i was dealing with is that they cancelled my card. A month ago they emailed all of their customers saying their current emerald cards would remain active until the new one arrived in the mail and activated or until March 2021. However this morning when I tried to see my balance after two online payments were declined, it showed a zero balance and a different card number. I was very distraught. I wont lie or sugarcoat it. I was in tears, bawling on and off for at least an hour because all of the money I have was just gone. After an hour or so i tried to calm down but I was still upset because based on my experience with this company so far I felt that they would not fix my situation. Still upset, and unable to compose myself, I had my partner go into the store. He came out 8 minutes later and said the woman he spoke with said she was able to correct the situation and all I had to do was go in and sign some paperwork. I have been given a new card and have been advised to wait and money should go back onto this new card. I am still upset but I am grateful for the woman who helped me.Original post 1/06/2021 12:21 p.mI am so livid with this company. I was upset when I originally came here a year ago. I normally do my taxes by myself. Last year I came here because I started to file my taxes online with Turbo Tax, and H and R Block online, but the amount of my refund did not seem right. I explained to the woman who helped me, my situation, exactly what I did. She then proceeded to do my taxes for me and then charged me about 500$ to basically tell me I did everything right and the number was right. Okay, I was upset but understood. Then when the first stimulus check came out, I did not get my stimulus until about two months after everyone else. It was at this time, that I realized the person who originally out my information in put the wrong address down. Now the second one came and I received it. Then TWO days later they cut off my card. Nobody is giving me any answers. I call the numbers and half the time I get no answer. Then when a person does answer they dont have anything to tell me. This company preys on lower class individuals. They have no remorse and they do not care about what their actions do.

Everything seemed good. Megan did a quick and efficient job. Prices seemed a little high for what was a straightforward easy tax return. I had all my documents organized and ready. It took her about 40 mins and cost $$318?!?!?!?! That seems like a bit much.
I liked your way of working with people. You explained to me very well each details of my case and answered all my questions. I have already recommended H&R block to my other friend though they are not in St. Louis they took service from H&R block next day.
Incompetent one of the people there doesnt even speak English they over charge put your money on a card that randomly stops working then they cant help you they tell you to call a bunch of numbers that put you on hold for a hr then they tell you they cant help you and to call one of the numbers you already called its real hard to believe that they arent government ran

Very good service. Based on what I saw my tax situation has become simpler and perhaps I can begin doing it on my own again with free software offered as a military member.
I was very happy with all aspects of the service. My issues were slightly complicated and Sara Roth quickly and efficiently cleaned up my mess. The cost was far less than I had anticipated. Ill be back next year.
