No answer and they are no longer in business. The Sound Room has taken over their phone number and is cherry picking their customers.

Jeff and crew at St Louis Computronics are a trusted and competent repair resource for all levels of electronics.I use them exclusively for repair and service of high end and vintage pro sound equipment. I have been delighted with service and quality.Be prepared for up front time wait time of 2-3 weeks. They are very straight forward with disclosing this. If you need expedited service, they will explain what can be done in very practical terms. Dont expect idle time for chit-chat...they are courteous...but also have a time sensitive business to run.

So far, So bad. dropped my receiver off on 1/12 for a short in the wiring on the on/off switch....they said the work would take 7-10 days. No call back after 19 days and all their calls go to voice mail which they have yet to return. make sure you save your receipt so its easy to get your equipment back after they dont fix it for weeks on end.ULTIMATELY....i got a call back within a day of this posting and i changed my one star posting to a three star posting. They did get it fixed. They got it fixed the first time, at the price they said they would. It could have been a much better experience had they been in contact with me when they said they would.

Best repair shop in town! I play music around St. Louis and have taken guitar amps, bass amps, and guitars to Computronics for the last 4 years. Nothing that was fixed has ever had to go back for repairs since I brought it in. They always cut me good deals on repair costs as well. Besides just being reliable and quick, they are always available to help troubleshoot problems you might be having in your rig or home setup.I wont take my audio gear anywhere else, and when my friends ask where they should go for audio electronics service I always recommend this place.

Was told directly by the manufacturer of the device I needed repaired, QSC, that this was an authorized repair shop. I have called multiple times only to have my call go directly to voice mail OR no answer at all. Today I called, someone picked up the phone and hung up. If all of that isnt a sign there is something wrong with this place, I dont know what would be. At least I didnt drop off anything for repair. Judging from these other reviews, that experience would certainly be a nightmare! Heres some advice, close your doors and put a voice message on that says you dont want any business and people wont bother you!

Took an item in to this shop for repair, and within 60 DAYS never received one call from them as to the status. I called a couple times to check on it and there was always an excuse. Someone was either on vacation, or not available, or they just didnt have it figured out yet. After 60 days I finally just went and picked it up, indicating that I was not pleased. I got a call later that day from the manager promising to figure out why, or who dropped the ball. That was on a Friday, and he was supposed to call me back on Monday. Never heard back from anyone. Makes we wonder if the people that work here know how to repair electronics, and furthermore how to run a business and treat customers.

I took my brand new receiver there for warranty work, because they were the local Onkyo repair facility. They had it 6 WEEKS, couldnt repair it. They has the gall to tell me that it had been hit by lightning! They were total jerks, so I called Onkyo, and they had it sent to their regional repair center, where they determined it was un-repairable now, so they sent me a brand new unit. Ill NEVER go to St. Louis CompuTronics, or recommend them to anyone.... And BTW I used to be a professional A/V repair technician!

On friday afternoon I became lost and my cell phone battery was very close to dying so the gps app would not get me to my destination. I happen upon this business and asked the two guys nicely if I could use an electrical outlet to charge my phone. One man responded, what kind of plug do you need? I then told him just a regular outlet. He said, well, you can use that one right over there, close to the window. I told him, thank you so much. I bent down and plugged the charger in with my phone attached and suddenly my phone rings. It was my father to see if I was ok. As soon as I opened my mouth to let my father know that i am lost and just stopped to get a five minute charge, the same guy says, Oh no! You asked me to charge your phone not to be forced to listen to your conversation, off you go, Im trying to run a business here! with a passive aggressive smile on his face. You know the kind that the joker usually wears even when he is being evil? I said ok and was just going to let him know it was just a quick call, but the guy continued with his unnecessary remarks telling me that, youve been fired, while opening the door. I felt so belittled by this guy. He treated me as if I were riff raff. I dont know if it were the owner, but the other worker there was silent while sitting behind the desk. Also, there were no customers around. If I or anyone else I know need the kind of service they offer, i will remind them on how I was treated. This business needs to be reminded on how to treat potential customers as well. I just happen to know the owner of a djing company that I couldve referred to this company. Alas, that wont be happening! Doesnt pay to a jerk!
