I recently went to Sarah and she was able to transform my hair a big step forward preparing my hair color for my upcoming fall wedding and I absolutely loved her work! I previously went to another hair salon for a root touch up and the lady turned my hair almost orange; I was a mess driving home! Well I decided to go to Bella Gente Salon months after and Sarah and Alyson did a fantastic job figuring out what I need; which is more brunette with blond and caramel highlights. I was tired of my copper orange hair! Sarah didnt rush her process and made sure I was happy! Please go see her for a beautiful balayage or highlights! Im finally so happy with my hair color! :)

I went in yesterday for a cut, unsure about the length I was going for. Sarah guided me towards a cut that would flatter and be the length I wanted. She chopped off 7 inches, and I am in love with it. Sarah is professional, precise, and intentional. And easy to talk with-always a plus when youre in the chair :) Shes exactly what I want in a stylist. I never make follow up appointments and go 8+ months between cuts, but I scheduled for 8 weeks this time. Go see Sarah! You wont be disappointed.

Michele is great does a wonderful job. I love her European facial.

I got a chemical facial here... it burned so bad, but the woman doing it put a fan up to my face. Which did help some with the burning. But I think it was good. The woman that did the facial was friendly and professional.

Cheryl is the absolute best!! She always does a fantastic job and never disappoints. She is friendly, easy to talk to, and listens to what you want. I love coming in to see her!! She brightens my day every time I walk in! The rest of the staff is fantastic too! They are so nice and friendly. I never feel like a stanger!

I had an awesome experience. I am very happy and satisfied with my haircut. Tamanda did a fabulous job and has a lot of experience and knowledge about cutting and styling hair. I was also greeted very well at the front desk. The staff was very courteous and friendly and even took care of my baby while i had the my hair cut. The salon is very clean and beautiful inside.

I absolutely love this place. I have been seeing Brenda for a few years and this is by far the best salon that Ive seen her in. The place is super clean and organized. I am randomly checked on by the receptionist to ensure Im enjoying my visit. Brenda takes her time and makes sure Im always happy with the final product. Definitely coming back for my next color and cut....might also throw in a manicure!

I seriously wish I could give this a 0 star rating. Just got my hair done by Tamanda there and my hair is absolutely horrible. She cut it way too short, it’s so choppy, not straight/ different lengths, nothing I wanted. I love my hair and just moved back and gosh I wish I could’ve just paid $100- $200 to go somewhere else in St. Louis because it was terrible. Right when the process of even just shampooing started I knew things just didn’t feel right as most stylists take a long time, so a good timely scrub etc. I’m used to getting someone amazing in Chicago and completely regret coming here - have a wedding in Vail next week and no way I can even salvage this and have the hair obviously grow back in time. Do not go here end of story.

I love Bella Gente! I have been going here since we moved to the area 8 years ago and I think its great. Awesome location- really nicely decorated- super awesome staff. My stylist Cheryl is amazing. She listens, gives great suggestions and is always friendly, happy, and engaged when I come in. She is really awesome- knows about my kids, my job, and is on point when I come in remembering what we did last time with hair and even what was going on in my life. Highly recommend Bella Gente and especially Cheryl!

I highly recommend Brittany! She has consistently given me excellent hair cuts. I have longer hair and appreciate her being responsive to whatever suggestion I have, and providing her professional input! Also, the atmosphere is relaxing, and you are offered water, soda, or wine upon entering. They also have a referral program where both the person you refer and you receive a discount.

When I called to make an appointment, I told the girl that I wanted to take some photos that night and I told them I was even going to bring in my hair extensions in. I told them that I wanted to look pretty, since the virus and IVF treatments. All was great and the lady even told me that they would have a consult before I got my hair done. I had the owner do my hair, at 1st the receptionist said it would be $85.00 bucks for a full highlight, then the day of the appointment she called me and told me that she was wrong and that it was going to be $13.00 more. And I wanted to look pretty so I was fine with it. So I actually got the time wong and came in 40 mins earlier but they said no problem that she could do my hair. Well, I waited and honestly she didnt do my hair earlier than 5 mins from the original time. I told the owner the whole story and why I wanted to look good and everything was fine until they washed the color out. She sits me down and then comes and towel dries it. And she said so do you want me to dry itIm sure I looked at her crazy but then said yesShe then said she couldnt do it, because in the books all it said was a full highlight. And then came back and told me it was $140.00 for it to be blown dry. At first I was mad, and I told her that I would just go home then. Then, I thought about it and I was like its fine just go ahead lets do this.She had to have another lady come and do blow dry my hair since she had another client there. Another woman came out and dried my hair and put my extensions in. I asked if she could put some curls in also to blend the extensions in. And she too, had another client and couldnt. When I got home I looked at my hair and the extensions dont even blend well with the hair. I put a pretty good tip on both of the girls tabs but, I now took my extensions out because it looked so bad. This was by far the most stupidest hair appointment Ive ever been to. I didnt even know it was a thing that you dont blow dry your hair after you get it colored. How else would you know that the color looked good if you didnt even have it blowed dried. Never ever will I return back to there. If you want to look good for anything or any special event please consider another salon. After all confusion that they had created they still made me pay full price. I feel like I just got totally ripped off.

Best hair experience ever! I came to get my hair done for homecoming, and let me just say WOWZA. Right when I walked in, I was greeted with the smell of heaven. Everyone was super nice, and they even got me in early for my appointment. Brenda did my hair exactly how I wanted, and it stayed in all night. Thank you Bella Gente for an amazing experience! I will definitely be coming back!

Cute little place, nice people, everything was clean. I had gotten a pixie cut somewhere else that I ended up not liking at all and came here to get it fixed. LOVED the end product! My stylist really listened to what I wanted and I showed pictures to help him get the idea so it turned out really well. Once I need another cut (or color), I will be back!

I called to make an appointment, but the receptionist seemed to be herding me to things I did not want nor ask for. I tried to pin her down on pricing, but she had a lot of double talk. AVOID this place and do not frequent this shady salon.

I went in for a simple bang trim....She did NOT listen to my request. It literally looks like I had a 5 year old trim my bangs. They are uneven, she thinned them which I did not ask for or want, I can only part my hair on one side or I have massive strays, the bangs are even cut far heavier on one side. If you want a bad hair cut, go here or to great clips.

I and my bridesmaids went to Bella Gente to have our hair and makeup done for my wedding last June. It was an amazing experience! The staff were very friendly and professional, and the salon has a nice atmosphere. There were 11 of us, and the process was very organized thanks to Ben who was very organized with the scheduling. We were even done ahead of schedule! I was so happy with how all of our hair and makeup turned out. Brittany did my hair and makeup and she was amazing, I would highly recommend her. Brittany met with me for a trial visit two weeks prior to my wedding, and she was patient and willing to work with me until my hair and makeup was exactly how I wanted. That took away a lot of stress on the morning of my wedding. My hair stayed perfect throughout the whole day, and my makeup looked just as good after the reception as when I left the salon that morning. Even though Brittany did my hair and makeup, I would recommend any of the stylists at Bella Gente, based upon my bridesmaids experiences. I would highly recommend Bella Gente for anyone looking for a salon for a wedding party or for any other occasion, I had a great experience!

I immediately felt at ease when I entered the salon. I had a mani/pedi, mini facial, color, and cut that I won at a silent auction. Everyone was so friendly and my stylist Tamanda made the day run so efficiently to get all of the services done and I was very happy with the results. Michelle did my facial. The room was lovely, relaxing, and she also did a great job. I live an hour away but I will be a client! :)

Ive been going to this salon for upwards of 5 years and I have never, not once, been disappointed! They are the friendliest and most professional staff, they consistently listen and consult accurately on any issues, and are truly the best salon in the area! I’ve being coming to Bella Gente salon for a decade and let me tell you - I would not go anywhere else. The salon has very modern yet inviting and private feel. They work extended hours and accomodate my busy ever changing schedule changes without any attitude.My stylist Cheryl is very experienced in both haircuts and coloring, and takes time to really learn about my wants and needs to very single visit. She maintains my color perfectly and always is ready to give a good advice. Cheryl did my NYC friend’s hair for my anniversary party and she loved it, too! While Cheryl was out on maternity leave, I had several other stylists and they all were good.My son and my daughter are being coming to this salon too for anything they need - casual haircut, beard styling, prom hairdo and such.I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants to find that one hairstyling place that once you discovered it, you never want to leave.

This was not my first time at this salon, but it was the worst experience and I will not be going back.I walked in Saturday morning and said hello and that I had an 8:30 appointment. The receptionist then told me I had a fake phone number on file and it needed to be updated. I have been through customer service training and business management classes when earning my degree, and this is not the proper way to treat your patrons - by accusing them of having a fake phone number when your phone number has been on file for quite some time and you have been called by them to confirm appointments in the past.The lash tint by Michelle was fantastic. The stylist Erin is very sweet, but I was not told about a charge for drying my hair, which added an additional cost from $51 to $77 at the front desk. I didnt ask for my hair to be dried (I was only asked if I wanted some mousse in my hair to add volume), so having to pay an extra $26 for a service I did not schedule or ask for was upsetting. I told the receptionist, and said she would put in a note and to tell the stylist next time, since they are supposed to ask you if you want a blow dry (I never got asked). After I paid and got in the car and looked up close in the mirror I saw my roots, which had just been done, and there were still white and light roots against the dark hair. I walked back inside and asked to cancel my next scheduled appointment and left crying (I have social anxiety and depression so being treated this way by the front desk doesnt help the situation).I had such a better experience the first time I got my hair colored here and for previous haircuts in the past, so I was extremely disappointed with Saturdays results, the way I was treated, and upset with the unexpected additional charge.

Just arrived in the Saint Louis area from AZ, couldnt believe I found a good place for a hair cut on the first try. I will definately be going back. Jamie cut my hair and it was perfect. Highly recommend.

I am always up for change, whether Ive asked her to change my hair from brown to Platinum blonde or from long to a short style, she delivers perfectly. Most importantly, I know that my hair will be in great condition too! Thank you!

A shame. Do not buy any groupon for this place. I drove more to get there and get back home than staying in the place receiving a treatment. The lady stayed with me for no more than 15 minutes for a facial. She pretty much put a moisturizer on my face and said good bye. I had an expired groupon ( advertised like you never lose the amount payed) and the service was cheaper than the Groupon but they did not let me use the remaining amount in another visit. Being robbed at gunpoint would have been more honest. Extremely disappointed. The worse spa experience in my life and I am not even that young anymore.

The absolute worst customer service Ive ever had the misfortune of enduring IN MY LIFE. Allison was so rude, disrespectful, and generally disgusting....i really hope the owners take the time to look at the personal hygiene of the employees who work there. absolutely unprofessional.

My first two times going to Michelle for a Dermaplaning treatment were great but my third time I got some type of burn on my face and told her when I was leaving and she said just put some neosporin on it. It got worse as the night went on and when I called back to talk to her about it she acted like it was no big deal and said that I signed a waiver that I could be burned, cut, have bleeding and or bruising. I will not be returning after being blown off like that.
