Worked with Chris who was excellent. He followed up with my questions quickly. He was open to my ideas. He made sure to make any adjustments and changes before the work started. The crew was also excellent and very professional. They worked hard and produced a great final product that I had in mind the whole time. Would rehire again for sure.

Baxter Gardens just completed landscaping work for us at our home. They rebuilt a retaining wall that was collapsing and they did a really great job. We are thrilled! They also planted new landscaping in the front of our home and we love it. It looks beautiful. We worked with Brian as our designer who was great and his crew were top-notch and they all showed great attention to detail. The whole process went very smoothly. We will definitely be a repeat customer.

We had a great experience working with Baxter Gardens to do extensive landscaping in our front yard including stone edging and placing multiple new gardens. We worked mostly with Jim who was easy to work with, always available and had great ideas for our yard. Everything turned out and looks fantastic! I am so pleased with the front yard landscaping Baxter Gardens did recently. They were so easy to work from beginning to end. We recently moved and were in need of having some landscaping updated in the front of our home and some to add shade, privacy, and beauty to our patio area. We were extremely pleased with Baxter Gardens from beginning to finish. Jim Scheve, landscape design, did an incredible job listening to our desires and did a no-cost design for us. He was extremely easy to work with as we had several little tweets before the work was done, and some even after they started. Jose and a team of 2 or 3 worked to do just what the plan showed, but was willing to do adjustments that we wanted. We were given a bid on the initial project and each time the plan was adjusted, we were made aware of the price difference. The job is complete and looks beautiful. Job well done!

The lady that booked us in an emergency was very good and thorough to get the technician to do our work on Monday. This was in a rush because we had a malfunction in our sprinkler system. This company has pretty stringent rules. They send you a packet to pre pay for service that you have to do before a certain date. Be careful if you are a day or week...forget about them bending rules to get you the prepaid rate.Secondly, they do have a GPS tracker and a tablet to tell the company exactly how long they work. If they work slow that on you... ask for the SENIOR TECHNICIAN. We had a guy that is not a senior guy that was working at our home and he was chewing sun flower seeds and spitting them in our yard while he is doing the work in front of me. I talked to the manager James...who responded to my dispute about the hours worked in my yard after 2 weeks.... and he apologized for the behavior of his employee. I am done...paid my bill and overall the organization is not bad...but they will not bend any rules. My frustration is if I am paying what you are asking of me...give me the courtesy of having employees that can do their job efficiently and good and not have to ask for a senior technician every time.

Great selection, helpful staff

Chris (Co-Owner) and his team have been fantastic from start-to finish on our landscaping project. When we first asked for a bid, I provided some general guidance of what we liked, and that he needed to solve for a drainage issue. That stated, I made clear we wanted HIS ideas, as design is something for which I lack any talent.His design exceeded our expectations, as it expanded on elements that we liked, but added boulder retaining walls and a connected “rock river” to solve for our drainage problem. The plants were suggested based on our ideas, but took into account both sunlight conditions (most of the front yard is shaded due to mature trees), and surrounding area (we back to the woods and have many deer that walk through our property for access).The pricing was very reasonable, even though it went over our initial budget (to be clear, we did not disclose our budget in advance). That stated, the design was so good, we stretched to make it work and are very glad that we did.A few final thoughts: Baxter Gardens crews WORK THEIR TAILS OFF. A group of three arrived daily between 8-9. They took an hour for lunch, and stayed until 4:30 - 5:30 in all for 7 full days. On a few occasions a couple of extra gentlemen came by to assist, for a total of five. Aside from a lunch hour, they literally did not stop working. Every day was hot and humid, and I would have been dead after a few hours. Take care of them. Each day we filled a cooler with waters and Gatorade so they stayed as hydrated as possible. On the second-to-last day, we orders pizzas for everyone’s lunch.Lastly, there were no nickel-and-dime extra charges. Taking that to another level, things came up during the project that were additional. Some were suggested by Chris as it would improve the overall appearance, and others I requested. None were too significant in my opinion, but they were additional material, and extra labor. Each time I asked what the additional cost would be, Chris’s response was (paraphrasing): “Don’t worry about it. I’ve got some extra materials from another job that we didn’t wind up needing, and my guys are here anyway. We’ve got you covered “.My wife and I could not be more pleased with every aspect of our landscaping project from Baxter Gardens. We will absolutely bring them in on all of landscaping needs in the future.**Note: I will add pictures later, as it’s very cloudy at the moment, and they would not do it justice**

Every time Baxter Gardens comes out to do work they greatly exceed my expectations. It starts with the vision and planning from the owner, Chris. His attention to detail and understanding of what will work and what the customer wants is second to none. The actual landscapers are punctual, courteous, work in a clean and organized manner, and always leave their work in excellent condition. I had my whole front landscaping removed and replaced, retaining walls built, sod installed, as well as normal spring clean-up; and each time they are out we get many compliments and questions about who did the work, and I always point them to Baxter Gardens!

The two stars are for the work they did on our existing, outdoor lighting. The lack of any other stars is for the horrible customer service I received. We needed some other lighting replaced and placed properly in our yard and the estimator noted this on the estimate that we received, but didnt quote us a price since he had to do some research. Their lighting team completed the rest of the project, billed us for it and completely left us hanging for the remainder of the project. I made numerous calls and sent a bunch of emails to no avail. They finally responded after noticing that I hadnt paid the bill yet and scheduled someone to come out and give us an estimate for the remainder of the project. No one showed. No one called. Had me wait around for four hours for someone to show. All it took was for them to say, Hey, sorry, we cant take this portion of the project because blah blah blah. You might want to try blah blah blah. Thanks for your business, though! Simple. Nope. They just blew me off. Id planned to hire them to do some landscaping work, but went with Metro West Lawn and Landscaping. Metro West got me an estimate and are already completing it within two weeks.

Best service and quality in the business. The guarantee on their plants is amazing, and their employees are very knowledgeable. Most importantly, they do good work and the results are consistently beautiful.

We had our entire front yard re-landscaped and hardscaped as well as a new sprinkler system put in. Several companies bid the job but we went with Baxter because they stand behind their work and really deliver quality. I had an issue with the sprinkler system and talked to one of the owners and he had the head of irrigation call me within the hour...on a Saturday evening! Their customer service is excellent and is some of the best I have ever experienced with any company. This is a local busisness that does a great job and stands behind its work. The employees are really nice and easy to work with and the owner stands behind all of their work. I can’t say enough good things about them. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Terrible customer service. When i said i wasnt happy with the end result, short a plant, no top soil, and no netting material put down for weeds. (Looks like he just dug a hole and put the plant in, i could have done that myself) . I called and spoke to service and told them i wasnt happy after receving final bill back in November. I assumed Baxter would adjust the bill. Just 2 weeks ago i was given another bill, i spoke to Diane and told her same story, asked to speak to a manager sent me to the landscaper Chris after i specifically told her i did not want to speak to him again as nothing got resolvedI just received a call back from the landscaper Chris he was very rude and argumentative and demanded final payment. I will never do business with this company again and I do not recommend.We got such great service from using them at our previous home, shame..There are many other landscaping companies to choose from Baxter will not be one of them
