The waiter practically ignored us. We normally tip very well. The portions were tiny for the costs. Ice cream took nearly 20 minutes, then it was melted when we got it. We didnt even really want it, but it was free with our meal, which was expensive so we figured we needed to eat it. Probably wont visit again, no reason to. Plenty of other options.2 stars because of the bread and staff wearing masks properly.
The site of this place was good. Kind info a old fashion place I like it however, that is where the positive review ends .When we got to our table the floor was dirty and the hostess stated that people who cleaned the floors only came at night so it remained that way. Our server was good not great just good . The food was the worst part it was as if I could have bought a microwave dinner and be more satisfied. Cisco could have been a better choice . Really mushroom were bad .there was no Chicken in the fettuccine Alfredo. It was as if they forgot how to make the classic Italian dish . Olive Garden is a much better choice and if you know olive they are not that great but compare to this place they were miles above. DONT EAT HERE !!!!
We got sat down at a table and in under 2 minutes we knew what we wanted. We sat there for 20 minutes when finally a waitress asked if we had our orders taken. We said no. I ordered a cotton candy drink. It was basically fresh lime soda with cotton candy ontop of the straw. There is no combo there; they dont belong together. It just seems very random. Other than that the food came out rather quickly. The spaghetti had very watery sauce and was bland. The soup was surprisingly good though.
Despite the restrictions imposed based on COVID-19, The Old Spaghetti Factory in Chesterfield, Missouri, is doing a fantastic job with its service and food quality. Their commitment to excellence has remained intact no matter the special circumstances we are facing these days. Great food, great atmosphere. Hats off to The Old Spaghetti Factory.
Eh, its ok. My kids like it. I wish they offered more or got the food out quicker.
This was horrible I ordered a mizithra cheese meal with the bacon/mushrooms. I didn’t get that it was just the mizithra cheese and greasy noodles. Then this trifling display of the ceasar sales look like it was on somebody else plate and they scarped it into this to go container . Trifling won’t be ordering again
We have gone to the old spaghetti factory for years, and have some incredible memories there. We got there and they had a wait time of 45 min to an hour, but we were seated within 30 minutes. It is an excellent place to socialize and enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance. We ordered a few different items like the tortellini, chicken alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs and the Mizithra and brown butter sauce. They were incredible and as always we got the salad with the pesto dressing. We ended up buying a point of the dressing to take home. And as a staple we ended with spumoni, pistachio, chocolate and cherry. We were greatly pleased and will no doubt return in the future.
Great place to eat. I have been to them at several locations on the west coast and both on Missouri. The staff are friendly and quick. The manager is on point. She is new to this location but is doing a fantastic job. Nothing beats Mizithra Cheese and Brown Butter! And the broccoli is a meal all in itself.
It was really expensive for the food we got. There was very little seasoning in the meals. The drinks were amazing. Staff was decent, not bad, but not great. The best part was the scoop of ice cream after the meal.
We wanted to try a place wed never been before. This was not the Italian type food we are use to. My kids did not like it at all. I got the chicken Marcella that was recommended by our server. I wouldnt get it again. It wasnt horrible but not a place we would eat at again.
So glad to have one of these close by in my new neighborhood. Consistent quality we can count on!
Meh. It is okay. The restaurant itself has a very nice comfortable atmosphere. The food is very basic though. Nothing special, but not terrible either.
Food was good as always. However, when we sat down at the table there was a card that said to limit your time at the table to 90 minutes. Now normally we aren’t there 90 minutes anyway. We didn’t see our server for 5-10 minutes. Did that count toward the 90? But the real issue was when our wait staff came to our table two different times while we were still eating our entree and ask if she could bring us the ice cream yet (while we were still well under the 90 min). Not blaming the wait staff, I’m sure they were just doing as told. Very poor restaurant management.
The food here was subpar. I ordered a $14 dish that was basically buttered noodles with cheese. The spaghetti tasted like it was from a box out of the store and the cheese fell off the noodles as I was trying to eat it so it felt more like eating buttered noodles at home. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive either. He spilled water on our table and just left it without so much as an apology. The manager ended up being the one to take our payment as the waiter eventually just never came back. I would recommend finding a different restaurant if you would like quality pasta dishes.
Delicious food and excellent service!Ordered take out and they did not disappoint. The family meal was perfect and included four loaves of bread and a huge salad. We had leftovers for the next day!Spaghetti with clam sauce was perfectly al dente - not mushy as we frequently get. Ice cream was a great end to the meal! Thank you!
Always always perfect. The Mizithripa is the best.
Great place. Interesting atmosphere that I like. Food is good and I really like the dessert at the end as part of my meal.
Always a pleasure. My favorite chain
We came as a group of 12, waited for an hour for a table to become available, which was fine for a Saturday night. But the bad service wasnt fine, the server looks overworked, tired, non-professional on his technique handling the food, the way he handled the glasses- his hand was over the rim of the glass, I dont know where his hands had been, when he handed the salad, he was almost touching the food. Then the food came, the pasta was served cold, didnt even look that its been blanched. What was all the hype about this place. Really disappointed. Should have opted for The Hill for old time home cooked style food. Will definitely not coming back to this place.
Great prices. Amazing food. Amazing service. All around will be coming here again very soon.
ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY! Everything was BLAND. Milkshake was not a shake at all, more like a smoothie that melted and separated the ice from the flavoring packet they used. Brown salad. Unseasoned noodles and chicken. Sauce tasted canned. Best part of the meal was the vanilla ice cream which still had chunks of ice in it from being freezer burnt. Very sad! Asked for utensils and did not recieve any which is now understandable since I should not have eaten the food at all.
I dislike places that charge more for gluten free food and they did. However the food was overpriced and not good. We also had a massive long wait for the food to come. It seems many places are under staffed. They certainly were.I had pasta combo with meat sauce and with mizithra cheese sauce or so I thought. The plate had pasta with one side covered in meat sauce and the other side the cheese. The meat sauce on pasta was okay, not as good as it sounded from the description, but the cheese part was just gluten free pasta with grated cheese over. It was awful. I did tell the server and he just said would you like ice cream, as if that was something he was giving as a consolation but it was included with the meal anyway. I will never go back and would not recommend the place.
Always a nice peaceful atmosphere. And weve been lucky the last few times to eat inside the trolley.
As a chain restaurant, it offers all the obligatory Italian dishes but nothing extraordinary. Everything tastes good, and its pretty fast unless its peak dining time. The little trolley dining area is kind of fun, so knock yourself out there. Very pleasant ambiance, and the dinners come with salad and ice cream at a reasonable price. Overall its pretty good food for a good value. Its tough to be a highly rated chain Italian restaurant in St. Louis when there are so many outstanding Italian restaurants on the Hill.
First time ever going and definitely enjoyed it. The food was great. Waiter was awesome and attentive.
Food was fantastic as always.. our waiter Freddy was new and he did an AWESOME JOB!!!
My family of 15 ate here on Sunday night at 5pm for my daughters birthday. We were sat at the table and ordering within 10 minutes. All the food came out quick and hot. Our server was great!
On of my familys favorite places to eat together! We have really enjoyed visiting and eating our favorites for years, and look forward to the future visits ahead!Staff have always been kind and quick, while ensuring we get exactly what we need and nothing less!Food has been great throughout the years, always pleasing everyone in great portions.
It was a normal spaghetti factory experience. We were lucky enough to be able to sit in the train car. The food was OK. Our cheesy bread was burned. :( I received my food very cold. Cold as if it had been in a fridge. I asked them to take it back and it came out much better. Our server was very nice but she wasnt a good server. She never came back to check on us. In fact her coworker more less just threw our refills on the table and left. I hope they get someone in there who is friendly and knows how to keep customers happy.
We had a great experience! have never ate there before and the service was great! the food was even better! will definitely be coming back! also, their new york cheesecake was fantastic!!
I’m very disappointed with the quality of the food, we received this evening. I gave a precise order and they still didn’t give us what we ordered! My White Clam Sauce was not good. It was very dry and the clams were over cooked. It’s my birthday and I didn’t receive a spumoni ice cream. I used to love this restaurant but I won’t be coming back to this location again.
Amazing food, but very, very slow service. Even getting a water refill took over 9 minutes... Yes, I timed it.
Total disappointment first time here I ordered the BREAST OF CHICKEN FETTUCCINE thinking ok its a grilled chicken breast no lady and gentlemen it was CHICKEN OF THE SEA CHICKEN IN A CAN GTFO!!!! NEVER AGAIN
Great food, good atmosphere. Some of the tables are in a cable car replica.
Our server was great and very patient as this was my first time eating here and did not know what I wanted she did a great job and the food was the best Ive had in awhile definitely gonna come back overall service was great and the food was great!!
Nice decor. Good food. Reasonable. Prices. I would eat here again
I would give zero stars if I could service was fine but the quality of food was something I could make at home with canned sauce. I was expecting something extravagant after waiting 20 mins when it wasnt even packed there were multiple tables empty
This was our first time and we loved it. The service was awesome. The gentleman that seated us heard my 6 yo asking to sit in the train. Im not even sure that he planned to sit us there but he did. Her eyes got so big and just that was enough for me. The waitress was very attentive and helped us figure out what to get. The food and the ice cream was great. Also a glus, they do have gluten free options! Ill return again.
Always enjoy the Old Spaghetti Factory especially the Mazithra. Staff was very welcoming. Salad was served chilled and dressing is always delicious.
Spend a wonderful dinner with a good friend. The service by Hannah A. was A+. The food was delicious and she was a very kind hostess!
Really enjoyed this place. The setting was nice and the servers were great. Food was also very good.
Great food wish portions were a bit larger.... Price was reasonable
The service was good, but the food is terrible. Its small portioned with a large price and bland. I sent both the dishes I ordered back. I enjoyed the cheesecake but thats about it and will not be returning. Make your own assessment if you wanna go.
So good, where else do you get spumoni icecream
Good atmosphere, great service, reasonable prices for great pasta.
We Love the food here, but this time...our service was not up to par..
Always a great meal. Nothing bad on the menu.
Server was very nice and good! Food was awful. I never complain when i eat out,but im sorry this was bad.we had 7 in our party and the food was so dry and nasty. Sad. Hope it was a one time thing.
The food was amazing, the service was wonderful, my friend and I were stuffed by the time we left with enough left over for another meal.
Thought prices where good lasagna was ok not best I ever had
The soup was awful and the Fettuccine was tasteless. We will not go back.
Always a good experience for us.Good food and drinks.
Up until now I love spaghetti factory but since they want to limit my time to ear to 9o min we want be back.
Crowd pleaser, the kids are happy and I am full! Plenty of gluten free options. Cant go wrong with the Spumoni! Browned butter and Mizithra is the best.
Food was decent. Social distancing measures were good. The busser entertained our 2 yr old for our whole meal which is a job in itself. I should have specifically gave her the gratuity because our service was subpar at best. We ordered our sons food 10-15 minutes before our own and it arrived with ours. We were told 25 minutes after ordering that the salad dressing we ordered was no longer available...Waited over 10 minutes for my alcoholic beverage (watched it sit on the bar the entire waiting time. Sometimes it is just not the servers night and that seemed like this was the case....Crab ravioli was pretty dang good and the sicilian cheese bread was great. Basic alfredo and chicken. Not overwhelmingly good or terrible.
The food was really good.and service was great
Even though it is a chain, each location seems unique! Pasta, salad, and bread are top notch...and it includes ice cream (go for the Spumoni)!!
We came here to eat before going to the outlet mall. There was no line and plenty of space between tables. I had lasagna and my granddaughter had 1/2 mizithra & 1/2 meat sauce spaghetti. My wife had a salad & broccoli. I like the fresh baked bread and it all came out in a very timely manner. We choose 1 vanilla & 1 spumoni ice cream as dessert. Our waitress was great and we had 2 managers check on us. It was a good choice today
I like it a lot and also very reasonably priced. The mizithra cheese is my go-to.
Not a pleasant experience. To begin, we were sat directly by the kitchen. When I asked the “manager” to be moved elsewhere she lied and said the other table was reserved for 5:30. One hour passed no one ever sat there. Service was mediocre to say the least. Other tables stayed dirty for a while despite the restaurant not being busy. The online menu is NOT what is offered at the restaurant, not the mention, they only offer ONE lousy appetizer which is cheese bread. In addition, the menu advertised that all entrees come with warm bread. We ordered two entrees and received one bread. Don’t get me started on the Caesar salad that tasted like air. Atleast the water was good.
We called ahead from the nearby shopping center and were told no wait. We arrived 4 minutes later to be told it would be 10-15 minutes. It was over 20 minutes. We waited for 15 minutes for our dr prepper and childrens milk to arrive in a glass cup with no lid and no straws. When our 2 shakes arrived several minutes later we just asked for the check and left. We were a little disappointed by the limited menu but since we didnt actually eat we can not comment on the food.
Always a favorite.Great food and atmosphere.
They do chicken breast well. Plump & juicy.
Very bad experience.First was told they dont take reservations on weekends....come to find out they do you just can not call on the day of your visit. Next we were told our wait would be 30 min. only after 50 min of waiting we went to find out what our wait time was still going to be and wow it just happen to be our turn.We had 6 in our party, and were first put at a table that would seat 4 comfortably 5 at the most. When we asked for a different table we were given a booth that yes was better, but was still sitting shoulder to shoulder. When we asked about the table next to us that seated 10 we were told that table was not available because there was a table occupied that they said was within their 6ft Covid seating (I am just under 6 ft tall and I could have laid down between the tables and could have had 1-2ft on both sides of me and I wouldnt have touched either table). Went to the bathroom and looked in another room only to see a ten top (looked to have 7 people) and it was back to back (maybe 2-3 ft between the chairs people were sitting in) with a 4 top table...so much for their 6 ft. Covid seating guidelines. Now lets get to the food...salad was ok. Ordered the chicken fettuccine. Description says Breast of Chicken Fettuccine....let just say instead of breast it should have said 10 very small chuncks (diced not cubed) pieces of chicken. The broccoli, about 6 small pieces, some of which were under cooked. All if this for $15.95.So my recommendation....I wouldnt step foot in this restaurant. Take your business down about 1/2 mile east to Olive Garden. For about the same price you will get better portion sizes and all you can eat salad and breadsticks.Old Spaghetti Factory in Chesterfield is s real disappointment!
This place is one of the worst I have EVER visited. You need a magnifying glass to find the chicken on the chicken fettuccine and when you find it the pieces are little cubes that are smaller than sugar cubes and very salty. The place smelled like SEWAGE how can they think anyone would want to dine there. This restaurant alone can make you change your mind of going to Chesterfield again. Do not waste your money nor gas.
The service sucked the wife like her food mine wasnt so good maybe I need to go to the one in St Louis instead of here
Been going to one or another of these since 1977. Always a pleasure, and always Mizithra!
Great food service was excellent
Great food, great service 👍🏾
We received good service. Food was hot.
I understand Covid has a lot of business not rating many businesses to par, however, tonight was a true disappointment. The evening started with a 50 min wait to be seated. The “Caesar”salad came out as a bagged garden mix with Caesar dressing on it, and a few croutons. The garden salad can out with bagged garden mix and dressing nothing else on it. The spaghetti tasted bland. The service was mediocre. Was not worth the price or my time. My family and I will not be going back for a long while.
Nice place to eat
Its not overly complicated, but its really good simple food. We had been before but tonight was even better. I love garlic sauces so I got the garlic mizithra, which I had never heard of. Its amazing. Very rich and the mizithra cheese is great, Id never heard of it before. We got a breast of parmesan chicken to share and it was a great add-on for the price. It goes great with the mizithra when the seasonings in the chicken and marinara sauce meet the taste of the garlicky pasta. Caesar salad was very good as well, and the salad, bread and dessert are all included with a meal for no extra cost. Nobody does a value like that anymore. We got a half canteen of sangria, and it was good. Pretty simple but a good drink. Good price for 2 servings. Well be back mainly for the value proposition.
Outstanding food and good service.k
Wasnt as good as the one on the river front in STL, and entry way smelled really bad
The food was very good... Everyone is wearing masks... Tables are nicely separated... Ive never been there before, its very nicely decorated and very clean...my only issue was our server was terrible. ☹️
This place isnt worth the money. The food is ok, its not average or better than average. I can cook better food at home. This was my first time here & it is also my last time. My server did not ask us if we were doing good throughout our time here nor did the server ask us for refills. Im not trying to assume it had to do with us not being white but it definitely seems like. This place needs to do better with service & food. Ive worked as a server myself so I know what good service is & I definitely did not receive a good service.
The food was horrible no flavor at all the sauce taste like tomato paste with chunks in it yuck WILL not ever go bk waste of money :(!! Only left one star to make the post it should be negative 15 stars!!!
Food and drinks were delicious!!!Canolis??
One of my favorites! Service is great, atmosphere is classic, and food is amazing! Especially love the spaghetti with mizithra cheese and browned butter! Yum!!!
The food here is amazing 10/10 would recommend
Ironically, when my mom and I ate here, we both ordered minestrone soup and a chicken panini. The minestrone was very good, but the chicken in the sandwich was dry and the panini as a whole was mediocre. The service was good, and the decor is interesting. There was some weird smell in the restaurant that I didnt recognize (not like the smell of food, just an ambient scent) that wasnt overpowering, but it wasnt great to have around either. My mom and I sat at a table for two in these extremely tall, throne-like chairs. I laughed when I sat down because it was so extravagant. This place is an interesting experience and worth trying out. If I visit again and have pasta, Ill update this review and report on how it was.
The waiters were great
Good service good food.
Great food and atmosphere.
