Our AC unit broke during a heat wave and we called our oil company and they could not accommodate us. We called Tyler, he came out promptly, kept us informed on his arrival via text and did a wonderful job. We have out AC unit bought and installed and switched our oil delivery to them. I used to use White-bowman plumber services for over 15 years ever since we moved to Cheshire, they provided high quality services and reasonable price; now it was sold to F.F. Hitchcock, whenever I call White-bowman service phone they dispatch FF. guys; recently I had a little leak for the boiler expansion, a little leak; the expansion was installed by F.F. guys several months ago. The leak-fixing price surprises me, total $340.00; The young guy in and out in 10 minutes. Unbelievable. I feel sorry for white-bowman, I will not use their service any more.Update: The manager called me some time ago, and realized that price was higher and refunded me $160.00; I think now the price is reasonable. Appreciate that.

One of my orders was delivered to the wrong address, even though I had updated my address information via the ordering site (delivermefuel.com). I had a couple great conversations with my old landlord threatening me because he was charged for oil he didnt order. My last order, I called a few days after the oil hadnt been delivered just to find out when it would be, and apparently that translated to me wanting a 20 gallon emergency order (which I never requested). I just got a call from them telling me I owed more money (for a 20 gallon emergency delivery), even though I had only ordered 200 gallons and prepaid. If you want to deal with headaches in regards to something as simple as ordering oil, call them up!

Had a service call last December and the young teck was polite and worked quickly and fixed the problem for us we were very impressed we just had an issue arise we weren’t sure was related A different young teck came out today as there was a leak in the same place and he was also very polite and explained what caused the minor issue, tightened the fitting, fixed the problem and waited a few to make sure it was nit going to drip again when he knew it was good he left and again we were very happy and impressed by F.F. Hitchcock We would recommend them highly

I came home from work early the other day to find a puddle of water around my hot water tank. My neighbor suggested I give Mike or John a call. John came over within 20 minutes and in less than 24 hours we had a new tankless propane on demand hot water system. They took care of everything including getting the old tank out and clean up. We were not customers previously, but we are now.

Excellent service. Called them for an issue with my water heater. The tech fixed the issue in minutes. Had some projects that the owner came to discuss with me, very pleasant, and everyone was very good with the social distance guidelines. They even convinced me to switch propane delivery to them with their ultra low price and tank monitoring service provided. Absolutely recommend.

We had an excellent experience converting our kitchen to propane. Domenic was great answering all our questions and was very responsive via phone and email in getting back to us. FF Hitchcock has been a life saver! They are quick to answer the phone and prompt in providing service. All of the employees are very informed and have great customer service skills. The company also has competitive pricing! Only downfall is no late hours which is challenging when you work full time. Also, some of the service men walk in an out without regard for dirt/leaves coming in the house.

This was just an incredibly positive experience from start to finish. Hitchcocks got out to our house within hours and completed the installation of a new hot water tank and heater the same day as the issue arose. In addition, we were quering what size tank to install and Hitchcocks who couldve tried to upsell us to a larger, more costly tank, encouraged us to try out the smaller tank for two weeks before we needed to make a decision. And the smaller tank has turned out to be perfect.Everyone I spoke with could not have been more helpful and prepared to spend time ensuring we were being properly kept in the loop, if I could give them 10 stars I would!

I have been a long time customer, a long time Cheshire resident. I dont know what has happened to this company but 2013-2014 has proved to be a nightmare with them. The office customer service is beyond bad. In Jan of this year, during the frigid cold we had, I woke up to find the house freezing. I had run out of oil -even though I was prepaid at that point, was under contract and on auto delivery. I called the office upset and they acted like they were doing me a huge favor and that I was bothering them. After that, a series of mix ups (on their end) with the billing. I spoke to Mike on the phone and he said I was nice to you when you called in January out of oil... Nice to me??? I was prepaid, under contract on auto delivery and you think youre nice because you do what you should have done? Again, I dont know what has happened to them, but they are not a company I would ever do business with again.

It is sad to say that this companys customer service has significantly declined over the past 5 years. In the beginning they offered competitive pricing and good customer service. There was always someone you can speak to if there were issues. Now when you call all you get is the run around. I have left numerous messages for callbacks regarding a boiler they installed for me regarding the safety of vent placement. He first message I have left with the receptionist was back in October of 2016. Since then I have left phone messages and I have emailed them, but to no avail. No answer. Not even an acknowledgement that they received any messages. All I get from the receptionist is that she will deliver the message to John Bowman, the owner, but he never calls back. They also tout their prices as the best around--little do they know that people di their research and find places like Superior in Plantsville and All Gas in Hartford that have prices far lower than them. It is truly with a heavy heart that I will be searching for and probably dealing with a different company next season. Enough is enough.

After being away for 2 weeks I came home to a house that was 41 degrees. I knew that time was critical to do something about the furnace to avoid having my pipes freeze. I called Hitchcock and the woman who answered the phone was very kind and was genuinely concerned about my dilemma. She was able to get a technician out within 2 hours. The technician was professional, proficient and friendly. He only performed the services that were required to get the furnace up a running and for a very good price. I would highly recommend them not only to repair your furnace but their oil prices are about the lowest in the area.

Their was a posting for a job for this company that I seen on indeed that was posted 48 hours ago. I came in to apply and right off the bat the guy was rude and didn’t seem pleasant or friendly first impressions made me turn around and leave I wouldn’t want to work for a company that seemed impolite and rude I can’t imagine how they treat the rest of their employees. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone STAY AWAY

Oil delivery guys are rude, its raining i know, you work outside you should be used to the cold heat humidity and yes occasional rain, dont lecture me, last time i order from them, it only takes one rude driver. i would gladly pay more for a nicer friendly driver, its your job get over the weather. !!!

I have used FF Hitchcock because they installed the furnace as well as plumbing in my house. In 2010 within 6 months of being in my home that was built in 2010 we discovered mold in garage due to toilet leaking in master bedroom. They replaced the toilet as well as the ceiling where the issue was but still was somewhat frustrating to have this happen in a brand new home. Since 2010 weve had a few heating issues with our furnace which was installed prior to us buying this new home. The times that they have come out the techs have not been familiar with this furnace. Also, our neighbors have had the same issue with their furnace(home also built in 2010) in our cul de sac. Most recently had them come out in the 2nd week of December due to furnace not working. The tech who was helpful temporarily fixed the issue but stated they need to order parts and again reiterated that our neighbors had the same issue. He stated that the parts would be in next Friday which would have put us around December 20th. After waiting until the first week of Jan without a call I decided to call and ask what was going on. I also asked for a call back that same day on a status and the lady curtly stated that she would relay the message. I have made the decision that I will not be using FF Hitchcock again in the future.

Called after hours for oil worried I was very low, Mike sent a tech out with 20 gallons of oil to get me through the night and delivered oil by 720 am the next day . Price is always competitive if not cheaper then most, Great experience.
