Worked for Hiller Systems for 5+ years. At first, I was pleased with them as an employer. But as time went on, it became more and more apparent that the only thing that matters to management is profit margin and end-of-year bonuses. Service and production employees are treated very poorly, despite being the people that make them their money. Salesmen and estimators never leave the office, and expect the technicians to essentially do their job for them, while the sales people rake in the commission and bonus checks. Management personnel continuously ignored requests by myself and other technicians for equipment needed to perform our work tasks. I received an average of about 2 complaints a week from customers stating that multiple phone calls and requests for quotes/inspection reports, etc. repeatedly went unanswered. My jobs were constantly being under bid for the sake of profit, and then we as technicians were expected to work twice as hard to finish the jobs faster than was reasonable, only to be admonished when we informed them it wasnt possible. It was not an unusual occurrence to have to reschedule a job 2 or 3 or 4 times because the correct material wasnt ordered to complete it. Finally decided to leave when the 6th or 7th manager my department had seen since I was hired, was fired and his replacement verbally threatened me during a phone call.Be sure to steer clear of this place for your fire protection needs. They treat customers as nothing more than a paycheck, and employees are treated like dogs.

We have had Hiller Systems perform our annual fire extinguisher inspection for Beacon Auto Repair for the past 3 years. Joseph F was our technician today, he showed up promptly for the scheduled appointment time, was polite, courteous and professional. He completed the inspection quickly and thoroughly, even informing me of upcoming extinguishers that would need to be replaced before next years inspection. Thank You Hiller Systems for giving us peace of mind that our extinguishers are up to date.

Hillers team have been cleaning the hood system of my food truck for a few years now. They been professional, informative and provides superior service.

Had a great phone experience with the receptionist there (didnt get her name) she tried to transfer me to someone but was unable to get them. Mind you I have been trying weeks to talk to someone even left voicemails. But she was able to handle my request and retrieved an invoice for service that was completed at our location.

As a previous marine technical support rep for Hiller Systems Inc. & a previous USN Electricans Mate, I want to impress on every one in the Tidewater area that Hiller Systems invests heavily in the character of their employees as well as their training. The Hampton Roads area is highly congested & we all need to be somewhere @ sometime. Norfolk and surrounding areas are tough. Please understand these Hiller employees are doing the best they can to create a safe environment for our seafairing guys & girls.Thank you for your service.

Hiller replaced two call boxes in our apartment community. The new boxes didnt work from day one. They came out repeatedly and finally told us the problem was with Cox. In spite of the fact that they did the installation they charged us for coming out. They claimed their techs worked 10 hours when they got there at 11:00 and our office closes at 5:30. After months of wasted time, inconvenience to our residents and wasted expense we called another contractor who indicated they had hooked up the phone line incorrectly and the boxes have worked flawlessly since. We are still getting bills from Hiller. I would never use them again.

Apparently their employees are very unhappy people that cant follow the laws while driving or even show common courtesy. Another road rage incident for this company, you should be proud.

I see why this company has 3.5 star rating. I called to speak with someone about installing a fire extinguisher. Brittany told me the person I needed to speak with is busy and ask me do I want to leave a message. I told her I would just called back and she hung up on with with a attitude!
