L.J. was so kind and honest! I was out of town and having battery charging trouble. AutoZone told us it was the alternator. L.J. told us. That there was nothing wrong with the alternator, battery, or engine. One of us left the light on in my car for a few days and it killed the battery. He was so honest just to charge the battery up for us and not charge me anything. So thankful for an honest mechanic especially when I was out of town and could’ve easily been taken advantage of!

I moved to the area this past year, and decided to take a chance on Affordable Transmission since they were local. I have never in my life seen mechanics that got your back like this place. I came in to get my transmission replaced shortly after buying a used car. LJ went above and beyond to make sure that I wasn’t being taken advantage of since I had to use a warranty company to cover the costs of the repairs from the dealership I bought it from. Amazing customer service, great team of guys and only looks out for what’s best for the customer.

LJ and Ronnie run a great shop. Prices are fair and they do great work. Have been using them for years now from simple repairs to complex problem solving.

Just picked up my 03 Chevy pickup from Affordable Transmission today and as usual LJ and Ronnie did some superior work to extend the life of it. Ive been going to them for all of my vehicles for well over 4 years because of their great service and straight up honesty.

Left a review for this terrible shop before but looks like they removed them all.. Had the worst experience ever taking my 2000 honda civic here for transmission work. My car was popping out of 2nd gear so I brought it to them to fix and LJ told me for $1700 he could make it right.. Took about 2 weeks but I finally got the car back and 2nd gear worked now but it wasnt smooth. Not even 1000 miles later I hear a boom and the car wont go into any gear... I have it towed to them and he tells me o something came unbolted and has no idea how... Not even another 1000 miles later again the car wont go into any gear.. I have it towed to them again and he tells me well its 4th gear now... Like really? I just paid you $1700 and you had my transmission apart and couldnt tell a gear was about to fail?? So he tells me hes going to fix it... They had my car for almost a month and I called every week and LJ kept telling me o hes working on it... After a month he told me he couldnt find the parts for it .... This genius couldnt find parts for a 2000 honda civic.. He tells me he found another transmission and will install it but its going to be another $1000.... So now I waited almost 2 months and paid $2700 to have a transmission with unknown miles put into my 2000 honda civic... At this point I didnt want to have a car that this terrible shop had done work on and ended up selling the car and losing a couple thousand dollars... Stay far away from this place they have no idea what they are doing
