The service that we received at Blakes was excellent! They completed our state inspection and did some diagnostics for the check engine light that came on. John was so friendly and kind to my daughter and I while we waited.We highly recommend them for all of your auto care needs!

This shop is not bad at all and my only complaint would be I had issues with the time estimate changing. From one day to two etc. Its okay though because I think they did a good job and Im not a mechanic so it was most likely do to the fact the issues were more difficult than they thought. But they were polite and answered my questions

DO NOT USE, Spent $800 on repair only to have it fail inspection due to repair they performed. Not to mention they lie and waste time. Literally go anywhere else.

They don’t even deserve a 1 star! They told me they would fix my car and gave me price. They HAVE NOT started the job. It’s been 8 weeks and they never even called me. I would call and they gave me every excuse in book. I don’t usually leave reviews but they have NO customer service or ethics about their business!

Went to Blake’s for a last minute state inspection. Called ahead and they were able to get me in quick. The service was fast and only took about 30 minutes. Appreciated how they didn’t try to sell me on any services or any unnecessary upgrades. The co-owner and other service technician were very down to earth and polite which made for great conversation. I love Blake’s. Very quick and painless. I dropped my car off on Saturday for Monday state inspection. John called me before noon and let me know if things to fix prior to getting the inspection and the total cost. Once everything was complete, he called me back. I wasn’t able to pick it up before closing so I went and paid and he had me park the car somewhere outside the gate so I could pick it up later. Everything is very convenient!

These are some of the finest people that Ive met. Not only did they take care of my vehicle but they kept me updated on repair work they were doing and were kind and sweet. The older gentleman working there even gave me a ride to my friends house who was nearby so that I didnt have to walk. Will be back for future service! Thank you!!

Good honest guys working here while everyone wants to keep your car overnight these guys had it pumped out in about an hour with two ahead of me. Real quick and easy with Blake.

I was told my car failed inspection and needed a rear left control arm and bushing... Took it to my old mechanic out near Smithfield and he said everything was fine and passed re-inspection without any repairs.Also, I waited from 7:30-7:45 am trying to drop it off on my way to work, because I was told Blakes opened at 7:30, but no one was there so I just had to leave it.Wont be coming back.

Outstanding customer service! Hands down the most pleasant experience Ive had at an auto shop in the Hampton Roads/ Tide Water area. I went for a State Inspection. It was a busy day, I was immediately informed on the wait time and the shop offered to give me a ride home instead of calling for a ride. They took care of my truck, which other mechanics always overcharge me to work on. You was in and out of there within the soan of an hour, which includes parts being delivered for a brake job. Truck still runs smoothly, and they take care of return customers. They know how to treat ALL their customers.

I am so glad I went to this place! I was shocked at how great their customer service is! Drew came to my house which is about 10 minutes away from his shop, because I wasnt sure if I could drive my car after it started smoking while I was driving my kids to school. He didnt want me to drive with my kids and came to inspect my car. They knew right away that I had a torn radiator hose. They got me in right away and I am so grateful! Although they couldnt quite figure out what the issue was the customer service was really great and the atmosphere felt inviting. Affordable rates. I was in the area, read about the good reviews on Google, and decided to give Blakes a shot. John was aces in customer service, his father was pleasant, and even the other customers were positive. The waiting room TV is small but the place had excellent A/C and my car was inspected in under an hour.

Came in for an inspection and oil change. They took me in right away. Turns out I needed rear brakes also. Was done and out in 1 1/2 hours. Very fast and professional. John, Drew and Ralph are all very friendly. I am glad I found them.

They were nice .. thought I was goin to be getting good service.. to come out Highly disappointed. Not a good experience at all . Seems like when you’re a women they think they can get over on you . Went in for inspection toCome out them saying I need $1800 worth of work done (which I knew instantly was wrong ) the estimate and breakdown of the charges made no sense and you could see( if you’re knowledgeable about cars ) that they were double charging for certain parts .. and labor ...come to find out being double charged for parts .. and so forth...when they were finished I got my truck back not in the condition it came in had a loose window panel and my windows were no longer working I had to drive back in the cold with my window stuck all the way down n have them fix it ! All after I refused the work .Completely unacceptable

State inspection failed due to foggy headlights & possible miss alignment. Offered to fix but I choose to deal with headlights myself. Had 15 days with a recheck for a dollar. Took the car back and it passed after the headlights adjustment. Very satisfied with the service and how they keep me informed on what they were doing. Will return for any further auto needs.

Great shop and great people. I be taking my trucks and familys trucks to them. They have my business. They make feel like you have known them for years. I really appreciate them and like I said be doing more business with them though the years.
