This was my first time going here.I went for a synthetic oil change. They were very nice and quick getting in and out,and they vacuumed my car and gave me the best car wash they have to offer. I was only there 30 minutes from the time I got there to car wash.

This is probably one of the best automated car washes around. I usually find myself pretty dissatisfied by the level of cleanliness of the car based when compared to the price of the wash but not with this place. I chose the middle wash option for the tire cleaning aspect and it did do a good job of blasting the brake dust off the rims.The employees even come over and tape the wipers down with low tack painters tape so that they don’t get damaged.

I had to wait a couple weeks to get my appointment, but I got an inspection, oil change, and tire rotation in under 45 minutes for a reasonable price. 👍The lobby has decent wifi too, so I was able to work while I waited.

I have found Carl’s to be a place for everything automotive. A great Car Wash, fast oil change, State Inspection and even mechanical work as needed. Everyone has been easy to work with.Let’s face it, we all have to maintain our vehicles to keep them safe and lasting as long as possible. Had a coupon so gave it a try. Thanks for supporting the labor day concert at Chesapeake park. I learned i need to stop and scrub bugs myself before going through but got a clean car for $10 and vacuumed myself for free!

Very trustworthy shop with excellent staff. With four bays for oil changes, the wait time for an oil change is usually quite short, and they move quickly to get your car taken care of. Ive only had a few very minor issues on the service side over the several years that Ive gone to Carls (its usually things like a piece of trim they forgot to screw back on or a walkie talkie they left at the base of my windshield), so their track record with me is excellent. Theyve never tried to sell me service that wasnt needed, which I appreciate. Good car wash too, and they have stations where you can vacuum your interior after the car wash. The attendants will always tape down your rear windshield wiper if you have one to keep it from getting damaged in the car wash. Overall, Carls is a great place to take your vehicle for a spa day or even for more major services if you need them.

Best drive through car wash that I have ever used in this area.

I use the car wash all the time, but since they added two lanes its hard to get around to the car wash. I have a truck so I have to get out to pay. Guess they didnt take trucks into consideration

The drive thru car wash does a good job of cleaning the exterior. I always get the hot wax and it does a good job. The floor mat cleaner and vacuums are included in the price. What I really like is the vacuum cleaner hoses are suspended off of the ground and they are an either side of each parking spot, so you dont drag dirt into your vehicle from dirty hoses and you dont have to drag the hoses across the outside or inside of the vehicle. Just walk to the other side of the car and get the hose for that side. Their prices are fair and worth the service performed.

I dont want to go anywhere else to get my car washed. Its quick and easy. Pick a wash, put it in neutral, drive up to the vacuum, clean the inside, and go. The car mat vacuum is NOT for rubber mats

There is nothing to say. Picked the wash that I wanted and kept it moving. I liked the fact that the vacuuming machine was self serve and free.

So friendly, took care of mine and my wifes vehicle without any nonsense or trying to upsell! Wonderful!

This is the ONLY truly honest car service facility I know in the Hamptons Roads area. These guys will be honest about your repairs. Quality work. I trust them totally. In a day when you get ripped off at dealerships and other facilities are incompetent, these guys are a life saver.

We used to love Carls, best carwash around. Always clean and friendly. However they have recently made some changes that just dont work. They have added a new self checkout - which would be fine, but my goodness you had better drive a small vehicle to fit through. I dont know who came up with this design, but it just doesnt work. If you drive anything bigger than a small SUV I recommend going somewhere else!

I have gotten maintenance and safety inspections performed here and they are always very kind and understanding. They go out of their way to provide great customer service and get things done quickly.

This place really cleans the car and its all done by soft cloth strips and soft brushes. Very cheap and they even have free vacuums along with a machine that cleans your floor mats. Awesome staff direct you into the wash safely.

They are very helpful. Saw them helping to move a wheel chair out of back of truck to be washed.

Been twice now and its one of the better car washes in the area. I dont feel like Im wasting my money and the quality of the wash has been pretty good considering its an automated wash. I really enjoy being able to vacuum my car out afterwards as well.

Everyone was very friendly and courteous, so I appreciate that. However, I failed inspection because my blinker bulb and license plate light were apparently out and that it could be a wiring issue, but when I took it to my mechanic right after, he said you can clearly see the blinker bulb was burnt out and thats why the light wasnt working. Also, my license plate light was not burned out and came on immediately. They wanted to charge $110 to diagnose that, and then whatever itll cost to replace it. Also, they said that there was an oil leak when my mechanic said he wasnt seeing one present.I understand that a business has to make money, but I think that charging $110 for something that upon proper inspection, would be very visible, is wrong. I still paid the $20 for the inspection, but it kind of seems scammy.

Made an appointment to get my vehicle inspected. I was told it failed and would need a $980 repair. I called around and was able to get the repair done for $628! Thank goodness I shopped around because Carls would have robbed me blind!Edit- thanks for the response and the scare tactics but I went to a national competitor which offered my a lifetime guarantee on parts and had a warranty on labor and whose technicians are also are ASE certified. Thanks for the assumption I didnt do my research. Best wishes.

Overall this business is in business to make money. Staff is friendly and organized. If you are on a budget you may want to shop for car service repair some place else. You can pay for different levels of membership for car care here including car wash options. Recently I came just for an oil change, of course they tried to open my wallet for other service needs. Then a couple weeks later I opted for a state inspection that was due in a matter of days; they were the only place I could get in for an appointment same day after calling around. Long story short: first time ever rejected with two items; went to a different mechanic shop and paid $200 less than their estimate. Came back and paid a $1 to reinspect my car. Staff seemed unhappy when I had repairs done elsewhere. They do give you a free car wash after you pass a car inspection.

Im always thrilled with my service at Carls. Its a local, independently owned business so I feel good about supporting them. They offer high quality service and repairs at a fair price. Their communication is top notch and I know every step thats taken to ensure my vehicle is repaired to their high standards. They are very clear with costs of repairs, I have never gotten a surprise bill from them. I love that I can get quick oil changes from a group of people who care about me and my car at the same place I can get bigger repairs done. On top of that, their wash and vacuums are the absolute best.I recommend Carls for your cars maintenance and repair and cleaning!

Ran through twice and still had dirt and grime on car

Carls offers a variety of automated washes at reasonable prices. I can hit Carls 4 times a month for less than 30 bucks.

They are always so friendly and inviting. Even when we just randomly pull up to ask questions. They are a great hard working company and I love going here to wash my car and have service done.

Love this car wash but very disappointed on my last visit. Excitedly purchased a monthly plan in Oct. 2020 to match my usual car wash service only to find it was incomplete on my visit Jan 2021.When spoke w/manager because of incomplete service, he was rude, unsupportive and provided no accommodation except to assist me out. It really changed my opinion of this place. Glad I wont have to deal with him if coming back.

Ive frequented this business many times over the past few years. The car wash is great, service is too.

Service is always quick and everyone ive dealt with has a great attitude. The car wash is great. The vacuums are free with the wash and the lube service is efficient and quality.

Not a good auto repair shop. Always gave me the run around. Went in for one issue and the same problem kept occurring and every time it was something new they had to replace. Not sure as to why they couldn’t locate the main reason my car kept breaking down. I had to go back 3 times for them to tell me what the main issue was. Do not recommend if you need your car repaired. They didn’t even accommodate me for having to take my car back 3 times.. I ended up not getting the car fixed with them and took it to someone else since they never offered to fix the problem only to drive my car back to me and just tell me what was wrong with it.

Had my oil change here last month and it was an okay experience but the oil change was pretty quick but other then that they gave me a free car wash being a first time customer and I was pretty impressed on how nicely clean my car was afterwards and how much dirt came off. I came back here today for the second time for a car wash and once again I was not disappointed ! I will continue to use there service whenever I need my car wash thanks again !

Went and got my car inspected today. Pulled up at 7 and told they were by appointment only which was cool cause they got me for 9:30. Very honest and reliable told me exactly what was wrong and the price to fix couldn’t be matched. Would recommend 10/10 for honestly, relablity and professionalism.

They were freindly and efficient. I will return there for service again without hesitation.

Good prices and good staff. Free vacuum with each wash and machines are paint friendly. I like the free car wipes that they give to clean the dashboard.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! My family has been going to this shop for the last 3 years and have gotten routine oil changes and state inspections done as well as more in depth work including an engine swap. Their prices are fair, their technicians are all very friendly and accommodating! The wait times for a walk in oil change are not bad at all, and the one time it took longer than usual the owner gave donuts to all the customers waiting. There’s also a little nook with toys in the waiting area for those with kids, my little guy always looks forward to going there. Great service, great prices, great people!

Great wash definitely worth it

I decided to go to the car wash for the first time and wasn’t disappointed! Kimberly was amazing at answering all the questions I had to ask. I got my car washed and waxed. The free self serve vacuuming was the best part. I love being able to do that right after and have the inside and outside looking great. I will be returning!

Lets just say every place that works on vehicles should not! I called this establishment after noticing they were the company that did the oil change on the car I had just purchased. My car calls for 5W-20, they used P0-20. When I asked why, the response was Oil is oil and its full synthetic. They also replaced the tires on the vehicle and 1 of the TPMS sensors was missing!!!

I have been getting my oil changed here for a long time. They are usually very dependable and expedient with the job. Occasionally they will take longer than usual, but if that does happen they are apologetic and will try to make the situation right by offering you a free car wash or something like that. I trust their work and have no issues with going to them for maintenance on my car.

Stay away from this place. Got the Best carwash 16.99 and the was did not clean the car to my liking. Drove around and explained to Rachel that the wash missed spots on my vehicle. I was proceeded to be told that was my opinion and in hers that the car looked fine. It had bugs all over the grill and the wash missed the back end. Then was told they were not going to rerun the wash and the only way I could leave would be to drive through the mulch to get out cause they were busy.Then she threatened to call the police on me cause i refused to drive through the mud to get out. This place is a joke and being held against my will. If this ever happens again she Ill be the one calling the law.Stay away

Took my car here for the first time today for a full service oil change and a car wash. Oil change was fast and the car wash was great! Able to practice social distancing so all good there. They have free vacuums and a floor mat cleaner which I didnt use because my floor mat is a little jacked and I didnt want to break their machine. So as far as service goes, it was pretty good and professional. Now I will acknowledge that my daughter just started working there so that is why I went and tried it out. It was a good place though. They had no idea my daughter works there and I was treated professionally and not special.Here is the part that gives you insight to the business. As I was paying a gentleman walked in and asked the man who was ringing me up if he wanted ketchup and mustard or something like that. I asked him if he was going out to get him lunch from somewhere. The guy responded He is making us hamburgers. Interesting... so I drive out and go get my complimentary car wash and there he is.. making up a slew of plates for the team there. This told me a behind the scenes story that aligns with what customers receive on the in front of the scenes service. It appears they really take care of their people who in turn take care of their customers. I was impressed by that. What does that have to do with oil changes, car repairs, and car washes? Well... happy people do good work. Thats what I saw atleast and reading these reviews it seems to align with my observations.

But all jokes aside this is the best one stop shop for all your auto needs!! Reasonable prices and reliable work!

Carls Carwash did a great job on my vehicle.

Scheduled an appointment for a state inspection and was asked if I wanted a half off tire rotation. I explained I didn’t need one because I get free rotations since my tires are through discount tires. After my inspection was done I was told a rotation was done and they gave me the total of that and the state inspection. I told the guy I would not be paying that because I clearly said I didn’t want it. He was nice enough to wave it which I was thankful for. As soon as I left the parking lot my car started making an odd noise and driving funny so I drove straight to discount tire because I had a feeling something was wrong with my tire. Sure enough as soon as I get there a gentleman looks at it and we realize my back tires were never bolted back on. The lug nuts fell right off. How does something like this even happen? I’m glad discount tire was right down the road because I don’t know how long it would have taken for my tires to fall off. I will never be back nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

Ive been going here for years and they never disappoint! Great service, fast, good prices, and trustworthy.Several years ago, I observed an exchange between their manager and a young female driver with car trouble. After evaluating the car and tightened a few screws, the loose flap was fixed. It was minor and they were completely honest with the young girl and also didnt charge her. It was just amazing to see especially in todays world where no one seems to want to help anybody anymore.

Generally a good place but I got my oil changed I was quoted $70 but by the time I was being charged the bill was all the way up to $117 with up charges of extra quart of oil and what not. At this price I was good to go to the dealership. If you think its a cheaper alternative its really not.

The best car wash

Up until today I never trusted a car wash with my vehicle but I needed to get to salt washed off of the undercarriage. Carl’s got great reviews from friends so I thought I’d give them a try. Although the line was very long, it moved fast. Attendants were very friendly and polite. I got the Supreme, think that’s what is was called, and my vehicle turned out fantastic. I’ll still wash my own vehicle but if it’s dirty with salt and the temperature is too cold to do it myself, I’ll certainly go back again. Great job Carl’s, don’t change a thing.

Had a vehicle inspected there yesterday, they failed it. Said it would be over $300 in repairs for 2 separate issues. Took it to another place today, where it passed.They said one of the issues wasnt even there and the other was nowhere near severe enough for anyone to fail it. Will never return, and will make sure no one I know does either. Another shiesty garage trying to take advantage of people. Avoid.Edit. Aaaand of course heres Carl, defending his shady business practices. Trapped another inspector???? Another inspector couldve just as easily failed the vehicle the same as you did, however not all garages are in the business of taking advantage of people. And yes there definitely is an agenda in play here. Tell me, how much lube is required exactly for a lubritorium whose agenda is screwing people??

Very helpful staff and ownership. Stayed in touch with me during the service and when they needed more time mechanic called and explained the issues on what was taking so long. Took my vehicle back for a noise I was having and they were able to fit me right in correct the issue on the spot. I have been a customer for over 10 years and this is the only place I would have work on my vehicle. Highly recommend Carls Wash for all your service needs.

Carls Wash is fantastic! Not only did the car wash get all the grimy salt off my paint and windows but they also washed the underside of my car before the salt could cause rust and corrosion, and I only paid $11. Dont let the long line scare you... it goes by quick...it just shows people love and trust this place and I can see why. Will definitely come back after it snows again.

I had a great experience today with my inspection and annual tune-up. My car is good as new and sparkling clean. Everyone was kind and helpful, and the waiting room is clean and bright.
