People’s Auction is superb! I’ve bought and sold through them and could not have been happier with the outcomes on both fronts.In holding my own auction (after being a customer for over a year) they were professional, courteous and beyond helpful. I can honestly say they went above and beyond my expectations. The auction went smoothly and they handle everything like pros. Well worth the small commission to not have to deal with hagglers in listing individual items on other sites and then having to accommodate pick ups and viewing ga etc. people’s auction handles ALL of that for you and you get one check at the end.

Hands down the best auction house period.Chelsea was awesome, when I closed down my antique store, she let me use their trailer to load all my stuff and then came out and picked it up. They sorted, photographed and listed everything. The entire auction process was a little over a month long but it was totally worth it. Peoples auction really does handle all the grunt work for you. Very trustworthy and knowledgeable. I actually netted way more after everything was said and done, I highly recommend this place. Thanks for super easy process.

This is the first time I have used an auction house to sell items. I was moving and downsizing. Chelsea really explained everything very clearly and I was very surprised and pleased with the results. We needed to clear 30 yrs of family accumulation quickly to sell our home. It would’ve taken us a year to sell it all ourselves. Chelsea People’s was so professional, organized & compassionate. She has an awesome team of workers who made this all possible in a mere 3 weeks from start to finish. Keep in mind that we had TONS of stuff to sort, catalog, sell & take away. This was nothing short of a miracle! We were surprisingly pleased with the proceeds that the online auction brought. I would highly recommend People’s Auction Company! My parents recently sold their beach house in Carolina and also decided to begin downsizing. I live 4 hours away and my first interaction with People’s Auction was via phone call with Chelsea. I was immediately impressed! Chelsea was very knowledgeable and thoroughly answered every question I asked. After a trip to Chesapeake to meet Chelsea at my parents home for a free consultation, we immediately decided to list with People’s Auction. Chelsea was very patient and pleasant to work with. Being out of town was not a problem. Chelsea was only a text or phone call away. We easily completed paperwork via email. Chelsea and staff handled the cataloging process smoothly and efficiently. Each item was photographed, measured, and described. Because the auction was taking place at my parent’s home, I wanted to be here for removal day. Once again we were impressed! Chelsea and staff arrived early and were very organized. People were assigned times to pick up their items which made the day flow smoothly. Items/lots were clearly labeled. Great people, friendly, knowledgable staff, helpful. EXCELLENT customer service. The best!!Unfortunately some really high rollers (or seriously ignorant people) participate in these auctions and regularly drive prices up sometimes beyond what the item would cost new. Good for the auction company and sellersNot good for you or me.Its hit or miss but still lots of fun.
