So Ive been to a couple other locations in Hampton Roads and this is the BEST! April did an absolutely fantastic massage. (As in THE BEST massage Ive ever had in my life.) I had never wanted to have a membership but after this, I couldnt help but sign up. And the building is clean, open and the employees are incredibly friendly....SOLD
I have been going to the chesapeake location for a few months now and the staff is great. Olivia is super friendly and great to talk to during your massage, if you don’t mind conversation during your massage. I recommend this location 100%.
My Masseuse was great she took her time, and stretch me out at the same time bones was poping, crunching it was great.

I was seen at this location last week with my friend for my birthday, i had the worse experience. When I got there, they had my friend add her information on the tablet, when i asked if I needed to add mine they said no we have it from you last visit (months ago). The last time I was there, highlighted my shoulders and back to work on thinking I was highlighting the problem areas however I now found out that was the areas that I was giving consent to, however when I went months ago I did get the full body massage, this time I didnt, he only massaged my back and shoulders. The massage therapist was very rough, literally he sat on that small bed with me and was pressing down on my back like Im a 300 pound man. I told him twice it was too much, he lightened up, but it was still uncomfortable. Wasted 110 dollars, thought I was going to have a nice relaxing massage for my birthday. I found out at the end of the massage he didnt do the full body because I didnt highlight it, clearly the front desk should dropped the ball.
Team was amazing. It was my first visit since the reopening. Shawndrika was on point with her pressure, professionalism, and consideration of my train wreck back. Immediately booked to see her again in 1 week. #loyalclientforlife!!
Good massages, but $90 for 60 minutes once you have already been there before?! Are you kidding me? I can get a better and more relaxing massage at Natural Balance Day Spa for $69 for 60 minutes. Where do they think they are? New York?
Miss going to massage envy and seeing Jen she gives the best massages. Let me know when it is safe to come back, I’m 68.
This location is actually my favorite. Clean, cozy, and convenient! The staff are all pleasant and professional.I almost do not want to share the name of my masseuse for fear that she will be more booked than she is already is, but Shylessa is THE best. She cares about your health and well being and does her best to bring healing into your session.Always an amazing experience here. Also, it is within a shopping area that includes the best Chinese Restaurant, a Harris Teeter, Navy Federal, and other health and wellness sites.5 Stars for real!

The reception was much better during our last visit. Thank you.How rude. The receptionist barely acknowledged us at check in and we went to the waiting room. Another lady came into the waiting room and shortly behind her the receptionist brought her some water. We were not offered any water. I guess we come here to much. But Jane, the massage therapist, was awesome as always.

Went in for my first time to pick up a gift card for my husband. Three women greeted me, but not pleasantly, more like they were in competition. I went to the first woman while the other two remained standing and staring ahead like they were mad. It very odd. Then after I picked out the gift card and was about to complete the transaction, the one in the middle wouldn’t talk to or make eye contact with the woman helping me. The lady on the far end was very rude to the woman helping me as well. I could tell they had something going on when a customer came out from getting a massage and the same awkwardness ensued. Is this normal here? I certainly didn’t want to drop $125 on Christmas gift for my husband at a place that was anything but relaxing. I’d had enough and told them, I don’t know what’s going on here, but I don’t want the gift card anymore. You are being rude and extremely unprofessional. Who is your manager? The one on the far end said her name is Holly and she is a manager. Before leaving I told her she is responsible for creating this unprofessional atmosphere that is anything but a relaxing spa-like feeling. I don’t care what your personal issues are with each other, you DO NOT act the way the two acted not helping me with customers around. I will not be back.
I had a great massage, but the 15-20 minutes of haggling me into a membership at the end completely undoes any relaxation. I literally told the girl 3x that I was not interested and to please just ring me out for what I had recieved. I do like the ease of scheduling and location, however, the sales tactics at the end is too much for me. I get massages for relaxation and dont want a membership but every time Ive been here it is practically impossible to get a massage and just walk out the door. Today was a bit over the top having to say no three times, so I think Im going to have to go elsewhere. Its unfortunate because the massage was great! I just dont want to feel like Im at a car dealership immediately after my massage.
My husband and I have been members for about 2 years. The quality of the massage is hit or miss. Mainly we keep the membership because we enjoy the time together, getting couples massages. We have been cancelled last minute more than once due to their scheduling mistakes. They are apologetic but it just keeps happening. I wouldn’t waste my time or money here. We are cancelling our memberships. If you want a great relaxing experience, try Tao Feet Spa in Virginia Beach. What a hidden gem!

I’ve had four massages there so far: 1 last year and 3 this year since joining for the membership. Last year’s was okay. Needed to have work done specifically for my lower back, but it felt like the lady giving the massage focused more on the areas around the lower back than the lower back itself and then they attempted to upsale me to the membership. The first two this year were phenomenal; Kayla and Jen I believe were the therapists. No complaints, both were great. Third this year was horrible. I do not want to give the consultants name in the off chance she was having a bad night and I do not want to give her a bad reputation. But I went in for fairly severe back pain, and felt like she spent more time not giving me a massage than actually alleviating pain. She spent long periods of time getting massage gel, moving around and taking long periods of time to adjust the sheet, seemed to be running out of patience while telling me to relax (hard to relax when you’re in pain), and her pressure wasn’t quite strong enough. Now, she was briefed as a light to medium pressure, and to counteract this I opted for their mechanical massager to try and work the knots out of my back. However she got confused and instead used the icy hot type gel and not the machine on accident. I typically wear glasses, so when she told me I was finished I got up to get dressed and noticed she had cut the massage 15 minutes short, which is significant if you’re only in there for an hour. I was her last client for the night. Because of this, I rated this location as three stars. The front desk staff are amazing, and took off the upcharge for the machine, and are always super friendly. But the massages, similar to a salon, are very dependent on who is doing the work. If you want a 5 star experience, ask for Kayla - super friendly and great masseuse. Jen as well, although I personally preferred Kayla. Not enough experience with the others, and I’m hoping the masseuse I worked with the other night was just having an off night and that wasn’t the typical experience. My work schedule forces me into one of the last two slots of the night, so I will update the review if the service at night turns out to be worse.Updated: Updated the review to reflect 5 stars. Received a call from the local office and from corporate, and they extended my massage later by 30 minutes at no cost. Process was easy and I requested no upgrade; they just inquired about the service so I told them and they offered the upgrade. Great customer service! I do suggest trying a few different masseuses and then sticking to the few you find you like.
I enjoy Massage Envy every time I visit, It get better and better. I have another appointment as well but I have to reschedule. I have no worries about rescheduling, because Massage Envy make sure it benefits me!
I have been going to chiropractors for years. Yes, they helped me, but never did they make me feel the way I do when Im leaving ME after a theraputic massage. My daughter gave me a gift certificate for my first massage and after just one, I decided to join their program. It has been wonderful. For years I drove by it thinking, who would want to have a massage every month? Now I think Who wouldnt want to have a massage every month? The staff is great (Hanbury)... very helpful, courteous and caring. I had my first facial there last weekend and it was equally awesome! The estitician who I had gave me a wonderful hand,arm, neck and head massage while we were waiting for the products to do their thing. Thanks ME for giving me a place to go to relax and feel wonderful! Now Im trying to get my husband in too!
Staff was nice. Massage was ok; more of a stretching type of massage. I guess if you want a relaxing type you might want to specify.

So my appointment was at 5... and Adam is who I was scheduled with. He brings me back late and doesnt start my massage until 5:11 and ends my massage at 5:57. Shorting me almost 15 min... when I mention it to him he says thats not the starting time he saw 🙄 and suggests that I do a survey/review on him and his manager will see it. I ask for the manager and shes not there. The receptionist says she will let the manager know the situation. I get a call back from the receptionist about a hour later and the manager says they will keep me at the introductory rate and do some kind of special service (idk) for my NEXT massage... who the hell said I wanted to PAY for ANOTHER massage when Ive already paid for a 60 min massage and only got 45 min!!! This is terrible customer service and they obviously like to try to short change people! Smh! I may go as far as calling corporate because I need what I paid for!

I supposedly signed up for a year membership unbeknownst to me. They are sneaky about not making this clear. After trying the service for 3 months, I wanted to cancel and it wasn’t an option.

Called to check on openings and the lady on the phone was the rudest person Ive ever spoken with. You need to remember who the customer is. I dont recommend this place to anyone especially if they act the way they do when someone calls to schedule an appointment.Lady I spoke to was Angelica or Angelisa. Something similar.
Was a little confused tonight after being a member for over 3 years and having two memberships, that when I canceled my appointment earlier that day b/c of something out of my control, they charged me a cancellation fee and were not willing to help when I asked for it. It disappoints me to see customer service so low.
