This company is the same as SouthTree Chattanooga. They lose items constantly and efforts have been made to cover up boxes of customers VHS tapes that were placed in a semi trailer thats used for storage. The boxes were located during clean out and instead of making effort to return them to the owner, they destroyed them so there would be no further record of them on site. Around this same time the company overspent their budget and began firing employees without notice. Over a couple months the workforce was cut in half. You are disposable to this company. Employees and customers are nothing to them. Do not entrust your precious memories to this company!

I bought Legacybox during a Christmas special and somewhat reluctantly sent 10 years of family memories with my wife and children to Legacybox to digitize (42 tapes). My camcorder gave out and the only way for me to watch my videos was to either buy a new (old) camcorder or digitize them. There was a glitch in my order, however. Somehow my tapes didnt get in the queue to process very timely. I called and two amazing agents took very good care of me. They quickly corrected the timing problem and I had my digitized files by the end of the week! And a discount for my trouble. Now on Sunday nights I curl up with my wife and my now older kids and we watch precious memories of us from 15 years ago. Its brought us closer as a family, and appreciative of our blessings. Completely disappointed with the conversion of VHS to DVD. DVD can back with no sound and tracking was awful. I can get better results using my DVD/VHS combo player/recorder. I was expecting to get what is advertised as a professional digital conversion. I cant believe that they didnt even bother playing them back to see that all the audio was missing on the DVDs that I paid to get converted to from VHS. VERY, VERY, VERY DISAPOOINTED. Dont waste your time with this company, I give the a FAIL with Quality.

Horrible! Checked on my order numerous times. It showed tapes were digitized and shipped. Received my package back and only the two VHS tapes were in the box with stickers that said cannot be digitized due to damage. Okay, then why did you state on your site that they were digitized. And nothing in the box or via email or anywhere was there an offer for credit or a refund. I got my refund AFTER I had to contact them. Bad business!Please send me that email on 7/22 because the first communication I received from your company was on 7/24 stating my order shipped. I received Nothing on 7/22 or any other date stating my tapes were damaged and could not be processed.

I am so thrilled with the work Legacy Box does. I sent them old VHS tapes and 8MM movies, some over 40 years old. They did a wonderful job of digitizing. Its so easy, they send a book with step by step instructions to help you prepare your tapes. They kept me updated on progress, and it was done really fast. My Dad died suddenly, over 20 years ago, and to be able to see him again and hear his voice, means the world to me. I gave them 40 old tapes and they gave me back so much more. Their great work is going to be the highlight of our next family get-together, my sister and I are already planning it. The photos I sent to Legacy Box had been protected in pictures frames for over 45 years & 93 years and were not bent or wrinkled. I had no problem safely placing my photos in the box without damaging them. My photos were looseleaf & no larger than 8.5x11 in size per the instructions. I trusted Legacy Box would return my photos in the same manner. I received my photos back crammed into the box, bent & wrinkled. I am extremely disappointed & never should have trusted Legacy Box with my photos that can never be replaced. Legacy Box didnt earn any stars or my confidence.

I received my VHS and Digitized DVDS back and the dvds were so grainy and of poor quality. My old VHS tapes are better quality-I managed to get a partial refund but I’m still out money. Highly disappointed!

At first I was pleased with my order. I sent in VHS tapes to be converted to DVD and ordered a USB to send as a gift to my sister. A few months after my order was received I found out in comparison that the DVD footage was much shorter than the USB footage. Turns out that the entire reason I placed an order, the DVDs, were not transferred correctly and only had partial files.I contacted customer service and was given the runaround. I was informed that this apparently happens sometimes and isnt uncommon when they convert DVDs for it to transfer partially and incorrectly. Even with the admission that this is a known issue and I wasnt forewarned about it prior to purchasing they essentially told me there is nothing they can do other than offer a $21 refund to buy another USB, transfer the files I do have, and pay to have new DVDs made elsewhere (as they said any future DVDs I order from them may be corrupt also).I regret choosing a smaller local company for this and will never use them again. There is no way to know if even my USB has the correct footage so Im going to have to pay another company to do the same thing. Customer service was no help and gave me every excuse in the world as to why a $21 refund was all they could do when its going to cost me much more to fix their mistake. They were aware of the issue, havent made any effort to fix it, and refuse to refund the money. It seems like a very well thought out scam.Id highly recommend anyone who has purchased DVDs from them to make sure this same thing hasnt happened to you.

I was very pleased with Legacy Box. Sending my VHS tapes in was SO easy. They send a box and a personalized instruction book along. I got my thumb drive and the videos back in about two weeks. They kind of hide the thumb drive in the box they return to you. A quick look at their FAQs told me where to find it. I also ordered the digital download which I could not find the link to or instructions on how to find it. I sent and-mail to them and in a matter of a few hours I had the link. They informed me during the process that some of the material was not in good enough shape to transfer which was disappointing. However, the VHS tapes are 26 years old so it is understandable. I have some more tapes which I will be sending to them (I didn’t want to send them all to Legacy Box until I knew they would do a good job). I highly recommend Legacy Box.

Dishonest. Dont use this service. My films came back completely static, because they did not adjust the tracking. Would not refund my complete cost.

I recently bought this as a gift for my mother. She had VHS tapes of us as kids, but hadn’t been able to watch them in years. From the time I placed the order to the time I got back her originals and DVDs, the service was incredible. Legacy Box stayed in contact with me through out the entire process and had everything back to me within 10 days. I fully expected the turn around to be 3x that long.The quality of both the DVDs and digital is great. We only sent in a few as a trial, and I can’t wait to send more in and get back more memories of my childhood.I cannot recommend this company enough.

My daughter sent 4 VHS tapes to be converted onto DVD s as a thoughtful holiday gift. We were extremely disappointed in the quality- static and very grainy. One of them was blank - no mention that it couldnt be digitalized. Do they not have any quality control??The originals were in better condition. If I could give zero or negative stars I would have. Do not waste your money!!

I was very impressed with their communication throughout the process. I always knew where my project with them was at all times. It is a little scary to send your valuable family memories in a box you hope gets where it is supposed to. Legacybox made sure I knew when it arrived and when they were working on the project and when they put it back in the mail. It was seamless!

I have never had such wonderful customer service in my life! I would highly recommend Legacy Box. I was told I would have a turn around time of 6-8 weeks, and due to Covid-19, as well as it being Christmas time, I expected it to be closer to 8 weeks. I was SHOCKED when my entire box was processed and sent back to me within 4 weeks. Every time I asked for an update, they were very prompt, kind, and helpful. They even sent me a prorated refund with no hassle when they had a sale a week after I purchased my box. My videos all turned out perfectly, and its truly the been such a delight going back and watching them all. For the most part I am happy with the product. As I ID my pictures, I have found about 15 so far that the color is very off (yellow) when the slide is fine.Also, I wasnt told they couldnt do square slides from a camera in the 60s. I realized my count was short 60+ slides and only found on the baggies a formal sticker.They did refund me $50 so good on them for that but I should have been told via email and a refund offered then.

Kimberly in Customer Service deserves 5 stars in helping me to rescue my lost videos. Sadly, there was an error made in transposing the numbers of my order and someone elses. However, she was able to find all my videos and films and was able to have them returned to me with the very convenient thumb drive that I can view without worrying about the films rotting or being destroyed by time. My youngest brother passed from Covid in 2020 and he was in many of those films. What a blessing to have them to see now whenever I want to. I am very pleased with Legacybox digitizing my 8mm movies. I had 38 different reels of various sizes and I have screened about half of them without any problems. They were taken and developed between 1961 and 1983 by unexperienced camera operators and all with a camera purchased in 1961 and still the digitizing came out remarkably well.I have passed on my recommendations to our family and they are using Legacybox for some still photograph digitizing.Thank you Legacybox.

Im so disappointed with this company. First, they advertise that in 4 to 6 weeks, youll have your memories. Well, I fully understand that theres a pandemic going on, but I feel they can be honest with their customers instead of sending almost daily emails trying to sell you more things while stuff you sent them sit on a shelf for six weeks.And when they finally do start working on your items, you cant track where in the process your items are at like they advertise. Every time I checked, it just said in production every single time.And youd think that they would be able to do minor adjustments to old 8mm films. Like making something brighter... A little. I thought that while they transfer film to digital, theyd at least make them viewable.I will never use this company again and anyone who asks me, Ill send them somewhere else. Im so very disappointed... :(

35mm slide digitization quality was disappointing. All pictures were cropped on all sides 5-10%: people near borders were partially amputated; some mountains lost their tops. The color quality was poor: greens were lacking some yellow and looked dull; some blues and greys tended toward purple; sky shades (e.g. alpenglow) were washed out. Two slides were superimposed. The clarity (focus) was reduced. On the positive side: the turn-around was quick (1-2 weeks); all slides were returned in good condition; if you aren’t concerned with quality and just need an image for memory, the images were adequate for memory recall.I tried digitizing the same slides by projecting them on a 20x30 white board and taking photos with an iphone. The quality was better (but not great): no cropping; better color reproduction; somewhat better clarity in some cases.

I sent in some beta and Hi-8 tapes for transfer and the sound is messed up or missing on 15-20 percent of the footage. I had the original equipment for playing the tapes on at home and the audio was fine. You’re better off buying some conversion software and adapters and doing it yourself. Not worth the money :/

This company is truly 1st Class. I only wish I would have done this years earlier. From the time the empty box with instructions showed up until the finished DVDs, everything was so professional. Packaging, instructions, follow up, emails about the progress, everything. Really a great experience, well worth the money. I would definitely recommend using them. Just be prepared to cry when you relive your memories!!! A must do, send in your old videos, you wont be disappointed.

Id heard great things about Legacybox and even though it was very pricey, I decided to go for it. My grandfather has Alzheimers and I wanted to show him some of these memories before it was too late.I understand that COVID has impacted things greatly, but when my box didnt move from Received on the tracking website for almost 2 months, I got worried. After speaking with customer service, I received word shortly thereafter that my videos had been processed.. and then nothing for another few weeks. I contacted customer service a few more times before it was realized that my box had been placed in the wrong processing queue. Customer service was excellent, they always responded within 24 hours to email and the wait time wasnt long on the phone. I was lucky enough to speak with someone who tracked down my videos for me and put them on the right track, and in all it took a little over 3 months from start to finish.My main issue is the communication, as the website where you can track your order didnt seem to indicate anything that the customer service reps told me, and if it had been updated or if someone had just reached out telling me it was just taking longer, I wouldnt have bothered customer service as often as I did. It is nerve wracking handing over family media like that and feeling like its disappeared into a black hole for 2 months.The videos themselves are pretty great, and its exciting to be able to watch these memories again. I did the digital download and was able to access my videos as soon as I got the email. The quality isnt great but thats the fault of the videos, not Legacybox (the videos were from the 80s and 90s, I cant expect the same quality we have today). While I am happy with the videos, I am a bit wary of using the service again for the rest of my videos.

I sent Legacybox 10 old home movies on VHS tapes from the late 1980s to be transferred to Thumb drive, DVD and the Cloud. Nine of the tapes were transferred and all ten were returned in a timely manner even during the pandemic. I appreciate the updates from the website and that I was able to track where my tapes were in the transfer process and via the mail at all times. Legacybox was thorough and responsive in their customer service.My only complaint is that they were unable to transfer a tape that was damaged due to time. Legacybox did inform me prior to purchase that they do not restore tapes. But since it has been such a long time since I have been able to view any of the VHS tapes, I did not know that a few of them had been damaged and would benefit from some repair. If you think you need some form of repair, I would recommend searching for a company that would provide that feature as well.Overall I would recommend Legacybox for their professionalism and ability to transfer the tapes. Also, the tracking feature was very helpful and comforting to know that my memories were being kept safe.

Finding two 3 reel to reel tapes that I didnt know I had (?) and no way to play I thought it prudent to send tapes to Legacybox who restored for playback on smart disk and successfully brought back to life voices from 55 years ago. Very well worth the transaction cost and resulting professional final product.

This is an excellent service and worth every penny! Our old videos were 34 years old but digitally transferred great. It is fabulous to see them and know we will always have them now. Do not hesitate to do this. My only suggestion is to go for a larger box because you WILL fill it up with videos, photos, slides....

Its been about 45 years since weve seen them and they have brought back so many happy memories of family members whove passed. There was a VHS I had sent in that had a label on it describing content. Turns out, it was a 99% blank tape with literally 1.5 blurry seconds of video and they digitized it anyway. After contacting them, they were kind enough to refund the charge for that video.The other items I sent came back digitized fine and my originals were returned undamaged. I appreciate the ability to watch videos of my mom that I have never been able to before.

I have already shared my feedback with Legacybox and I know that they are quite aware of it. It would take quite a bit of time to explain my experience with them. But for whatever its worth, I would look for a different outfit to do your digitizing.

THIS IS A HORRIBLE SERVICE. I sent in Super 8mm Sound film for conversion to digital. I got back the digitized media and THERE IS NO SOUND?!?!?! I thought there was an error, so I called them. Their answer was we dont have the equipment to copy the sound, only the picture. I told them I would never have sent the film had I known this and she said it says that on our website. I searched the site and cant find it. DO NOT SEND YOUR FILM TO LEGACY BOX UNLESS YOU WANT SILENT PICTURES LIKE FROM THE 20S! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM, and plan to tell The Rush Limbaugh program to stop recommending them. Hundreds of dollars for silent film?!?! What a ripoff!!!!

My Legacybox was a birthday gift from my best friend. I loved the process. I was kept in formed on each step of the process and loved the end results. I am now getting more things together and will be ordering my own Legacybox.

Fast turn around, and they provide tracking on every step so I felt confident with safely sending and returning my original videos, cassettes, 8 mms from the 1960s. The result has allowed me to share and has brought so much to joy to my extended family, seeing all the family reunions, birthday parties, vacations. It is awesome and I would recommend to everyone.

I had been really stalling to get a couple of old VHS tapes converted. They are nearly thirty years old and I feared moisture or heat damage, and I braced myself for bad news as I sent them out to Legacybox. These were not ordinary holiday videos. These videos were from my wife and step-daughters last day in the village in the Ukraine. To say these tapes were important .... these tapes... provide insight and perspective into my wifes life not just for me, but my now, three daughters. Last week, I received an email from Legacybox, and I knew right away from the digital download that the videos had been preserved not just from a visual stand point but just as important, an audio standpoint....the language...the sadness of leaving ...the fear of the unknown...the excitement a new opportunity....all captured... and our family now has it. and now it can easily be accessed... and can be an inspiration for the family - forever. I could have had a number of people who claimed that they could convert these tapes, but I wanted to give them a the best chance of complete preservation. I chose Legacybox. I had 5 reel to reel videos. I even played 2 on my home projector before the projector burned out so I decided to send them in to just get done. Paid for rush and paid for all the extra fees. They did the 5 other items (Not reel videos) I sent and claimed these 5 were either moldy, broken reels or damaged. (They were not) No attempt on any of the five. A complete and total waste of my money as those were what I wanted. No refund of anything except the actual cost of the 5 reels so the extra fees made this VERY expensive. I thought they were recovery experts also... NOT. Easy stuff only or they dont do it.

Quick and simple process! Great experience converting video tapes to digital. One was of prevously converted movies from 70 years ago! Result was not perfect but based on the quality of the original Im very satisfied. Turnaround was much quicker than I expected.

It sounded great but I spent over $200 for less than 20 minutes of usable footage and no email was sent about issues or anything. When you try to contact customer service its all automated with no real person. Very frustrated as this was Christmas gifts for my daughters and it basically sucks.

Great service and process to onboard new customers. Only issue was managing the intake of negatives. Reshipped mine back to me since I didnt follow exact instructions. But, we got it all worked out. I have 6 video tapes and 25 negatives that are now digitized. Fast service!!!

This was the best thing ive done in a long time. Turnaround time was totally acceptable. Maybe 4-5 weeks in total. My kids LOVE watching these videos and LOVE seeing themselves as little people. Legacybox did an outstanding job. The only thing id suggest is having an 800# for customer service. But when i had an issue and sent an email, the reply was quick and helpful.

When you read this, youll wonder why Ive rated them so highly. The Customer Service is why. The downside to using Legacybox was the amount of time it took to get my finished product. They are very transparent that it will take several months, and this is true. It took about 3 months for my order. Also, you can track your order every step of the way, so you never have to worry that its lost in some warehouse or something. Having said that, when I reviewed what I had sent and what I had gotten, they had missed 14 photos. But the Customer Service was GREAT. They supplied me with a mailing label; I sent the photos back; and within a week I had the rest of the photos on a DVD at no charge. So, my advice is (1) believe them when they say how long it will take; and (2) review your media when you get it to make sure its complete.

I just tried legacy box for the first time and the experience was great! Their website was easy to navigate and order exactly what I needed. I ordered my box and it shipped on Jan 12th, I received it by the 15th and took a few days to choose which vhs tapes to send in.After I labeled, packaged, and mailed it back, they sent the digital file links (mp4 files) within two days! I couldnt believe it was completed so fast. The email update system was great, notifying me when my package was scanned, tracking, and when they had received it and were working on my order. I heard about Legacy Box on a podcast and wanted to try it out since my boyfriend had 35+ sports videos from college collecting dust in the basement. If you look around, you can find a coupon code instead of paying full price. I was impressed with the turn-around time (because it was close to Christmas and I didn’t choose expedited shipping.) Nevertheless, I received the trunk about a week before Christmas.The process is so easy and user friendly. You can track the step-by-step process through your account and provided tracking number. They even informed me that some of my VHS tapes weren’t of the best quality to copy. Which was nice, so I didn’t have all my hopes up when I watched the final product.All in all, I was very impressed and I find more media I will be sure to send it straight to Legacy Box!Only suggestions:1. Have an option for discreet packaging. If it’s a gift and the person lives with you.2. Include audio cassettes!!

Nowhere in the box instructions does it say you cant send slides in the slide carousel. So, I neatly packed several carousels in the legacy box, and 8 weeks later found that none of those were processed. That was more than half of the slides I sent. SO disappointing. A slightly condescending agent told me I should have gone to the website to read all the rules. Use a baggie!

All in all, my experience with Legacybox was positive. They converted a bunch of old 8mm movies and a couple of VHS videos. They did a good job of setting expectations and giving me statuses. My only complaint is the excessive advertising emails and text messages I keep getting from them.

I needed slides dating back to the 19703 and 80s digitized. Legacybox was extremely quick and simple. One outstanding items was their continuous communication of the progress of my order. Will use again soon!

Very disappointing experience. I sent in a VHS tape of a 30-second commercial that I appeared in. They cut off the first seven seconds (the part where I was most featured), and the portion I did get was a far lower quality than the VHS was. Sloppy and unacceptable work, and I paid over $50 for this! Thank goodness my tape was returned safely because I now have to take it elsewhere for digital conversion.

Havent been able to get my tape shipped back to me or converted for months. The tape I sent in is one of the most precious memories I have and it is soul crushing to think I may never get it back. Numerous customer service calls have not been resolved.

Before purchasing their services I scoured their website for information on the formats they support and found very little more than marketing.I assumed they would have a disclaimer if they couldnt process certain slide formats... I was wrong. Instead of some easy process or offer of a partial refund for the slides they didnt scan, they sent a vague message that I should contact support.On top of that, the quality is not what I hoped for and some slides were scanned backwards.Luckily I only sent them half of my fathers slides, Ill send the rest elsewhere.

Gave a 1 star because zero isnt an option.Normal time for order is 8-10 weeks. Mine took 16 weeks. LB stated it got forgotten after a quality review. Had I not followed up, who knows how long it would have sat. And I had to keep calling to push for it to get done. Took 4 follow up calls for them to finally get it out to me.I did the 10 item set. Found out that LB cant do the Sony DUO sticks. Really? Its already digital, I just dont have an old laptop to plug it in. And LB cant do that? So, I got shorted two items with no chance to replace them.Overall - horrible. Look elsewhere for conversion.

Well its a mess, the picture jump drive doesnt start as a slideshow. I am using a new Mac, the quality is good, the time wasnt a factor, that was fine too. I just wish The slide show worked. I sent them the 3 tapes I had and wow, they arent of us kids, not there fault by any means. The Jump drive just wont self start at all, and not manually either. Costco does a better job for way less.

I purchased a coupon on groupon. The web sight was easy to use. The process was quicker than I anticipated. The old videos: priceless!

I had an excellent experience with Legacybox. It was incredibly easy. The instructions were very clear and the constant communication they keep with you via email is very comforting. I had a tiny issue with one of the transfers but customer service was wonderful and they resolved my issue in less than 10 days. I would highly recommend Legacybox for transferring old home movies to a digital format. Very disappointed. The process took approximately 11 weeks for 16 rolls of film and 100 pictures. Received a smashed thumb drive which I could not use. They replaced it with another thumb drive which only had the 100 pictures scanned on it - No film. After calling them 3 times and them telling me each time they would get back to me the 3rd call I was given a refund of 80% . So I paid a bundle for them to scan 100 pictures (which I could have done myself) but took the refund because I wanted to be done with Legacy Box. I suggest you never use them. Horrible Service and Customer Service.

I sent in 4 audio reels, 1/4 each, with studio recorded material After 4 months of anxiously awaiting what I thought would be a superior product from a high level company, I was extremely disappointed. All 4 of these CDs sounded absolutely horrible. I heard warping, slurring, pitch bending, and even complete stoppage and restarting of the tracks due to what sounded like faulty mechanisms on the equipment causing the playback to get stuck. The reels I sent have been safely enclosed in their cases all these years and have never been exposed to the sun or any extreme heat, and so theres no reason why they should sound as warped as they do on these CDs. I paid almost $100.00 for what I thought would be state of the art technology. And I have to be honest - I am not the least bit satisfied with what I got in return.

Just purchased an e deal as a gift for my parents. When I went to place the order for the box to be delivered, I was shocked to learn that in addition to what we paid, we also have to pay shipping! To hide that shipping is not included in the middle of the small print section was deceiving! That is sneaky and unethical. I did go ahead and complete the order, as we had already been charged for the box to digitalize. The shipping costs should be made clear!! Sneaky of you.

I had a great experience with Legacybox! They kept me up to date on what was happening with my VHS tapes I sent in, when they were being shipped to me and I am so pleased to have my memories now on DVDs. Im glad I did this with them.

I sent approximately 45 tapes to be digitized. I knew it would take some time, and LegacyBox kept us informed during the entire process. Now I can load the discs onto my pc and find any of them quickly and watch on TV. Great service!

Found some old family tapes and decided the have them digitalised.Found a groupon for Legacybox. There service is second to none have already recommended Legacybox to a friend .

I had made home copies and thought that using a service like Legacy Box I would see better results, but I was very disappointed in the product. There was substantial footage missing and the video quality was not nearly as good as I got with my home VHS to DVD Converter. There was also one transfer with no sound for a long segment. It was a waste of money.

Legacybox was so professional. Took care of my precious photo slides and 8mm films. The one thing that I liked the most was their tracking system, so you know where your photos were at all times. The originals were mailed back in perfect shape. Very impressive. I will use them again for all of my films and photos. Thank you!!

It all turned out beautifully. The turn around time was fantastic--I even got the flash drive back in time for Christmas. The photos turned out very well and the slides (some more than 60 years old!) look great. It is so fun to share these wonderful family memories with friends and relatives. I heard about a special offer for Legacy Box on a radio show and decided to try it. I have a lot of old 8mm films from my childhood. I havent been able to view these films in years. It is nice to remember and, now, see memories from the past. The process was very simple and I received updates as the steps were being done. It was all done in a timely fashion. Thank for the memories!

I got sold on the hype but in my case they did not live up to it. They required me to pay $289.64 up front. Part of which was for the special container they wanted my items sent in. Here I sit three weeks later and no container. I asked for a refund and I got excuses about back logs. So far no shipping package, no refund and no apologies. Thats some kind of LEGACY to leave behind.

We had two projects. Both were executed beautifully by Legacy Box. They kept in touch every step of the way. Very grateful to meet and work with such caring folks. We wish more folks knew of your company. Preserving ones past and remembering those like our Parents and others meant a lot to us. We felt also that it meant a lot to you as a company. Summary: My order involved the digitizing of 7 reel audio tapes recorded on both sides. Overall, I was satisfied with the results and felt they were well worth the cost. Customer Service was extremely responsive and helpful before the sale and during the process. It is interesting to note that they can only be contacted by webform email, but they responded in minutes. However, there were a few concerns that should be noted for future customers.Experience: From the time that LegacyBox receives an order, the status is updated in real-time on the website. Once my tapes were received by LegacyBox the order was in “Pre-Production” for 8 weeks until work began in “Production”.I was also extremely disappointed in the “Quality Review” as I found it to be non-existent. I understood when I submitted my order that I would receive a very large (approx. 500MB) .wav file of content from each side of each tape reel, and that no particular “enhancement” or track separation would be done to it. That was OK as I have the audio editing software to complete cleanup and track separations. However, I did find some problems that I would have expected any degree of Quality Review to catch. Both sides of 2 reels of tape were played back and digitized at the wrong speed (even though the tapes were clearly labeled) when they were delivered to me. I sent them back to LegacyBox who did re-digitize them on a priority basis. Other tapes were delivered with Side 1 labeled as B or D and side 2 labeled A. I received the same digitized content for some tapes in 2 or 3 duplicate files where some of the duplicates sounded identical, and other duplicates where file D sounded much worse than file A (rather than cleaned up). In the end I did receive all of my digitized content, but not necessarily labeled correctly or logically.

I had reel to reel film that needed to be converted to DVD. The packaging arrived quickly, and it was easy to prepare and send off. The DVD that I received was not good quality, because many of the images were too dark and blurry. I contacted customer service and they re-ran my film. Quickly, I received a new DVD with clearer images and precious memories to share with my family. I am a very happy customer and am pleased with the prompt service that I received. Customer service was quick and responsive with my concerns. I highly recommend their services.

Overall:Very satisfied. If the need were to arise, I would use LegacyBox again. I have and will continue to recommend LegacyBox to friends and relatives.Price:Reasonable with discount about $11 per Hi8 tape.Customer Service:Outstanding! As far as I can tell I was assigned a customer service representative. Every email was from Khristy. Her answers were comprehensive and concise.Information:Email updates were provided along the way. When my items were received, inventoried, when the process started and when the process was finished, and when my videos were available for download.Download:They provided a Google Drive folder with my files. I did encounter difficulty with the download process. Khristy from customer service was helpful. The problem, as it turned out, was browser settings on my end. Once I resolved my browser issues it was a snap. I was able to transfer the videos to my Google Photos account.Quality:I am a bit disappointed with the quality. The quality of the videos is not as good as watching the videos from tape.

I heard about Legacybox from a podcast I was listening to just as Christmas was approaching and I was looking for gift ideas for my parents. With their Black Friday sale getting the 10 item box was really affordable. The entire process was so easy and enjoyable and when questions did come up their help team was really efficient in answering my questions. The turn around for getting my digitized videos back was a few weeks and they turned out great! My parents loved their dvds and thumb drive. I will definitely recommend Legacybox to other people looking to get their home videos and pictures digitized.

I had very poor quality VHS tapes that I submitted for conversion. The DVDs were also a poor quality, but Legacy Box did inform me that might be the case. However, I am going to submit a couple more VHS tapes and hope for a better outcome. Hopefully, I will receive another coupon.

Such an easy process! We had a full box of home videos we needed to digitize and simply loaded up and sent it! So fun to see my parents so young and memories our family has talked about my whole life, firsthand :)

Legacy Box did an AMAZING job converting very old Kodachrome Super 8 movie film reels from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The quality is excellent and it was much faster than I thought. Legacy Box sends you emails during each step of process. We will definitely be using them again.

I sent 5 VHS tapes in to have them digitized. The entire process was seamless and quick. From the time I made the original order to the time I got my media back in digital format was just over 3 weeks. Great turnaround for it being holiday season. Communication was good via email and text. I was able to track my order from start to finish as well.A warning to consumers looking to get old media digitized. If at all possible view your tapes/film before sending them in to make sure they are worth spending the money on to have them digitized. Legacy Box is a transfer service at this time and does not restore or edit. Some of the tapes I sent in had little to no viewable footage on them, which I completely understand, them being 25+ year old VHS tapes. So again, check your media before sending it in. Legacy Box can only work with what theyre given.I did have an issue where two of the tapes i ordered did not get sent back to me in digital format and after contacting Legacy Box they offered me a refund for those items.Overall, the customer service was good and I believe this is a good company to do business with.

Sent my order in January and explained that I would be seeing my adult children end of February and needed it back by then. Received the initial order and the quality of the DVDs and thumb drive was not good as I had hoped. Legacybox took back the entire order for reprocessing. Received back the second (and perfect) order timely. Spending time with our family reliving all the memories was priceless! Thank you Legacybox for standing by your processing system to provide us with perfect memories.

Legacy box has helped me preserve and archive films from more than 60 years ago. Long gone family and friends have been brought back to us via a process that Legacybox made so easy. I had 20 films to convert so sent them in two boxes. Their tracking system is top notch. My only sadness is that one set of films was finished very quickly, but the second set has been in the processing queue for two weeks with no movement. Hence the four stars. Looking forward to seeing them soon.

Received the box to mail promptly. The turn around time was amazingly fast. My DVDs are great given that the films were over 10 years old. Will have a wonderful surprise for husband on christmas. Great product and service. Have already recommended to others including my daughter.

Had my 75+ year old 16mm films digitally transferred perfectly. The color quality and frame speed was reproduced just great. Unbelievably my parents 1942 wedding pictures came out as if they were taken yesterday! I would recommend any one having pictures, videotapes, etc to sign up. They keep you informed from the time you place the box in the mail until it is back at your front door, every step they take they let you know. I was so very please, with everything. I first saw Legacy box on shopping network on HLN. Very happy I did. My entire family is now watching movies that were over 50 years old. They did everything they promised.
