Worth every penny!!! The service presented by every person at every level is flawless. We’ve never stayed in the cleaner room. Seriously competes with our recent stays at the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. The staff did everything possible to make our stay perfect, including preparing food for my elderly mother outside of service hours. They clearly work very hard to say yes at every turn. The setting is perfect, overlooking the river and adjacent to the wonderful Hunter museum and with easy access to the walking bridge in Trails a Long the river. The Whitebird is an excellent restaurant and the view from the rooftop / Whiskey Thief is fantastic. You just cannot beat The Edwin.
Amazing downtown location overlooking the river. Super quiet area late night. Located at the foot bridge. Accommodating staff hold the doors, and greet you upon entry. Great coffee shop and wonderful roof top bar. The absolute most comfortable bed I’ve slept in at a hotel ever! The roof top pool is a bit on the small side however it was perfect for us and was ever crowded.
This is very beautiful hotel with the most comfortable beds Ive ever slept in. My wife didnt want to leave. The staff was totally amazing in every way. The location is perfect, right on the river at the foot bridge. I highly recommend this hotel. Also it has a romantic atmosphere with a laid back and chic feel. What else can I say, loved this place!
Very fun hotel! The room was very nice. Fantastic location for walking everywhere including the baseball game! Only downside is the pool situation... very small and a bit dirty. They should just turn it into a hot tub. We will be back. 👍
Lovely hotel! Great location for walking around the city. We stayed on the 4th floor. Our room was very clean and it was quiet during the night. All the staff were very friendly and polite. The true stars of the show are the coffee shop and restaurant- had one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a very long time. Sadly we missed the bar - it closes at 11pm - but maybe next time. Will stay again!
Great patio, excellent staff in the Whiskey Bar!! If you want good food and good service and great views check this place out !!
No hot water, bathroom ceiling badly water damaged, tear in the sheet and no chair in the room. Only good thing I can say about it is that it is close to the river. Stayed 2 nights and asked for assistance on day one — would be better off staying in a hostel. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
Great stay! Beautiful rooms and beautiful view outside. Staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, but could happen anywhere. Staff quickly resolved and held doors open for guests returning to their beds :)Plunge pool on roof is very small. Great for adults and very young kids (beautiful view)! Not so great for active kids looking to play (no room for playing and splashing).Great vending areas with free drinking water and ice. Incredible sheets and pillows!!! VERY CLEAN and cozy!
Beautiful boutique hotel with two excellent restaurants: Whitebird and Whiskey Thief. Rooms are well-appointed with luxurious beds. Perfect location within walking distance of most of Chattanoogas main attractions. Friendly and helpful staff.
My home away from home! I love this little boutique hotel which offers the coziest and one of the cleanest hotel rooms that I have experienced. The hotel staff is very professional yet incredibly friendly, helpful, and discreet. Privacy is everything and everyone here is amazingly considerate and willing to fill your every need within reason, of course. They will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home! I cant say enough about this Chattanooga gem that sits in the most perfect location next to The Tennessee River near so many attractions downtown Chattanooga has to offer. You can walk to the aquarium or across the bridge into North Shore. This hotel is absolutely the bees knees! You absolutely cannot go wrong staying here!
This hotel is a quiet oasis nestled in the heart of the city.I’m so thankful to stay here for work once a month. The housekeeping manager Adrien is superb and has taken such good care of me several times. The front desk staff is always attentive, helpful, and willing to help with anything you need. This place is fantastic with roof top pool views that are sublime, a roof top bar, and even pretty good gym.Visit here if you can!
Everything was delightful. Was told had robe and slippers, no slippers and had to ask for robe. Needs some room service if you are going to be a 5 star.
The whiskey theif staff makes the already great atmosphere and fabulous drinks a top notch experience! They work together in a fun and professional way and are very attentive and friendly to the guests. The views and art give this establishment a unique feel you wont want to miss.
Make sure to walk around the lobby and appreciate the art. Great Location. Special thanks to James, for making Chattanooga a memorable experience.
As a photographer, I can say that The Edwin is such an ideal location for a small, intimate elopement styled wedding. I loved getting to photograph there! The rooftop overlooks the city of Chattanooga and gives such a breezy, free spirited ambiance. The decor inside the hotel is so unique and chic, it all makes for such a fun and fresh backdrop for photos! A highly recommend from me.
Every one of their staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Sophisticated rooms, very clean and all the amenities you need. Great location for walking and great views. Only one complaint - bed was a little hard for me.Rooftop bar is a must.
My wife and i had a short 2 day 1 night stay but couldnt have had a more pleasant stay. Upon our arrival we were assisted by Maggi and Emily. Both were extremely helpful, professional and informative. They assisted in correcting an issue that started with AmEx. The hotel and room were both beautiful and comfortable. We would certainly go back to the Edwin.
Really nice hotel. Very close to many downtown events. Across the street the Hunter Museum. Next to the Walnut Street Bridge and so many more attractions. Great service. Hotel new and has a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop. Cool decor.
Just stayed a couple days here for my birthday. The town is small and quiet. This Hotel is the hottest spot there hands down. Stay here and never have to leave the hotel. Whisper thief was my favorite ! The staff was wonderful and friendly. Food was unique and tasty. I had a great time at this beautiful hotel.
Would not stay here ever. Booked months ago with instructionsto have the rooms next to each other, drove 8.5 hours with our 6 kids. Got there and was told that they cant park a trailer and we had to find our own parking along the street if there is any. We ask if we could drop the trailer in one spot and the truck in another and pat for 2 spots and was told no then we went in to talk to a manager and was told they all left and there was no manager on site. Then our rooms were no where near each other and then was told we need to find another hotel to stay at since this hotel was not a good fit for us because we wanted the rooms next to each other since we had our 6 kids with us. The staff was not helpful and refused to get a manager.
There were four serious condition issues for a $500 room rate: carpet binding issue causing a potential trip hazard, broken light switch with shock hazard, mildew in shower and after I walked barefoot in room found glitter stuck to feet indicating room was not thoroughly vacuumed. At checkout, I shared my concerns with pics to desk person who was very nice and she immediately offered me $50.00 off my bill. These are serious issues that I would expect to find in $100/night motel which I would not choose to reserve or stay. Stayed here for wedding and shuttle service to/from. I have stayed at other fine hotels in ‘Nooga’ and would not recommend Edwin with these conditions and prices.
Laid back, beautifully designed hotel in the perfect location for a getaway to Chattanooga. We loved our stay.
Checked in a few hours ago and I have to say... this might be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in... from the elaborate room decorations including a chandelier and what I call a Cleopatra couch... but also the wonderful and very calming aroma...I love it and would love to know what fragrance it is. The location cant be beat and its just a really high end place... Ill be back!!!
When I return to Chattanooga, I will absolutely be staying at The Edwin Hotel again. First of all, the location is prime. It’s in walking proximity to the aquarium, museums, restaurants, and it overlooks the river and has great mountain views. When you drive up, you are greeted by one of their many friendly valets. Seriously, all of them were great! One valet went above and beyond and helped me look for my lost eyeliner in the car for several minutes. Then you walk in and you get a tiny peek of their art collection. The hotel has an amazing art collection! The lobby has beautiful, whimsical furniture, and there’s a fun library on the fifth floor as well. The hotel has a cafe that serves pastries on the ground level. There’s a restaurant on the ground level too, Whitebird, and they have great breakfast. The restaurant on the top floor, Whiskey Theif, has the best view of the city (but it was raining, so I couldn’t get a good photo) and serves a mean charcuterie board. My room was one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in; it was clean, comfy, and absolutely gorgeous. It wasn’t a huge room, but it was very well designed, so there was no wasted space. Every employee I met was very helpful and friendly. The Edwin made for one of my favorite weekend trips ever!
Clean is an understatement for this hotel. Excellent in every aspect! Staffing is surpurb!!!
Very nice hotel. The upstairs bar and the pool are really nice. It is a bit pricey though.
When I am traveling, I love to seek out the best local boutique hotels for at least one or two nights. It is a revel in total luxury. The Edwin Hotel does not disappoint!!! From a beautiful lobby entrance, to the rooftop bar overlooking the bridges and Tennessee River below, all of which provides an incredibly romantic setting. The room itself was well appointed and so cozy, I had a hard time crawling out from the covers. We loved the artwork displayed throughout the main level seating areas as well as the unique furniture. Highly recommend spending at least one night here! Walkable to many area pubs and restaurants as well as the local art district.
After experiencing the autograph hotel in my own city, I wanted to seek out others. This hotel does not disappoint! The staff from valet to housekeeping are absolutely wonderful! The hotel is nestled in the art district with the pedestrian bridge nearby, shops, and restaurants galore. Leaving the hotel to stroll around is easy! Id definitely return to this wonderful hotel.
We enjoyed brunch at the hotel celebrating our parents 60th wedding anniversary. It was spectacular, the food was delicious and the service attentive. Everyone went above and beyond to make our time special. The hotel is lovely, unique and a wonderful location.
If you like art and a vibe well this hotel is the best of all of that!! The room was awesome, staff friendly and very helpful. Great vacation away!
The sky bar is very pleasant atmosphere for a small gathering. The service was exceptional.
Very nice hotel and nice front desk staff. Valet parking is expensive at $26 but street parking is free or inexpensive and can be found within a couple of blocks. We ate at Cashew, a vegan place within walking distance that was good.
Excellent hotel. The staff here is wonderful, location is fantastic, rooms are very well kept and the restaurant, White Bird, was great. The drinks at Whiskey Theif were very good, as well. We recently moved to Chattanooga from the southwest and will definitely be staying here more often when we do date nights. Highly recommend!
Where should I begin?? We arrived right before 5pm and our room was not ready. The front desk told us it would be about 45 minutes. We did not want to wait (check in was supposed to be at 4pm) so we told the front desk that we would take another room, if they had something available, and that we didnt mind paying extra if necessary. The young man at the front said he would not charge us extra and he would get us an upgraded room right away. Well, we did get a room right away. I am not sure how it was an upgrade.....it was a room with a king size bed, which is what we booked. However, if those had been the only issues, I would not be writing this review. So here are the things that tipped the scales....the room we were upgraded to was LOUD. It was near the elevator and we seemed to be on a busy hallway. Throughout the night we could hear people coming and going, doors closing loudly, people being loud in the hallway and even people trying to use their key to come in our door. It was reminiscent of living in a busy freshman dorm. The next day my husband spoke to the manager and requested that we be moved to a different room and told him why. The room we were moved to was identical to the first one and it was on the same floor but it was not near the elevator. The hallway noise that night was minimal but the noise from the busy road below was incessant through the night. Other small annoyances (because they are adding up at this point): the toilet seat in the first room was very loose....I was afraid I was going to slide into the bowl or onto the floor every time I sat on it. There was a stray hair that definitely was not mine in the showers of both rooms. The iron in the second room had something scorched onto it and I did not notice prior to ironing my shirt so I probably ruined my shirt....the black mark has not come off as of yet. The thermostats in the room are not user friendly. Heat turned to cool when I adjusted from 71 to 68....the only button I pressed was the down arrow. Also, the rooms were very small.....really small. 2 nights of interrupted sleep throughout the night, plus everything else, we wont be back.
This hotel did not live up the hype. The only thing we liked here was the interiors and artwork. When you charge the rates like this, theres a certain expectation, and this place fell short. We even paid more to get a Art District View, which is basically a view of the parking lot. The rooms are tiny. The pool, which actually looks big on the website, is tiny. They give no preferential entry to the Whiskey Thief bar on the top floor. We came back from dinner and headed up for a drink and were told we were waitlisted. Basically, young people off the street who were not hotel residents were ahead of us. So we had to wait 45 mts to get our turn. Thankfully we had some alcohol in our room, But they dont even have glasses in the rooms, so i called to request some, and no one answered. I then went all the way to the front desk and asked for someone to bring them up, which they did 20 mts later. We used the paper coffee cups until then. And when they finally let us in the bar, it was last call bc they shut it down at 11pm. Ill have to try something different next time were in Nooga.
As a photographer, I can say the Edwin Hotel is truly a dream! Its the perfect venue for any event! Its sophisticated located in downtown Chattanooga overlooking the Tennessee River! They have an elegant rooftop bar, Whiskey Thief! Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but the staff excel in customer experience and taking care of their clients. They put so much care and time into the venue and every wedding or event that happens there. If you are searching for a venue with chic energy and amazing staff, the Edwin Hotel is for you!
Great Hotel. Loved our stay. Unbeatable service especially from Drew, Edwin, and the entire staff. Love to live here!
I love this hotel! Everything about our Valentines stay was fabulous. We will return again. We also thoroughly enjoyed Whiskey Thief.
We didn’t stay at the hotel because we are local, we wanted to just come and enjoy the bar but thought that eight dollar for valet parking was a little steep. And decided to go somewhere else. We would of probably spend over $100, valet should be free. It’s just a principal.
Incredible bfast! My new favorite spot. Amazing biscuits, eggs, fresh jam, honey, and service.
Where do I even start? First, the location of the hotel provides the ultimate convenience for first-time and regular Chattanooga visitors. You are literally right off the TN river and can walk to an abundance of shops, restaurants, and any outdoor activity your heart desires. The room itself is well appointed with modern decor, yet there is a certain flair of southern influence throughout the hotel. We checked in later than expected our first night and ended up having dinner at Whitebird. The food was superb and is such a bonus because let’s be real- the majority of hotel restaurants are mediocre at best. You can enjoy an evening sipping an amazing cocktail while taking in the sunset of the TN river at the Whiskey Thief which is located at the top of the hotel. Get there early so you can nab a seat on the patio! The gym and pool are in pristine shape. Oh, and the pool has a great view of the city too so check it out. For valet you have the convenience of using an app to notify the attendants when you are ready for your car. There was never a long wait and the valet staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Oh, and the hotel is extremely clean and the staff took all precautions to ensure guests safety. The only change I would make is to the coffee bar called Provisions. The first time we ordered from there it took 15 minutes to order and nearly 10 more for our espresso and latte to be made. However, this is a such minuscule glitch to our overall experience. Can’t wait to come back!
Had several unexpected problems. Room did not meet expectations. No outdoor access for rooftop bar. Room phone did not work. Confusion at checkin. Not planning to return. Elite reward members should avoid.
BEAUTIFUL place to stay in downtown Chattanooga!
Stayed here for a 1 night getaway to escape months of quarantine. This was a very nice and extremely clean hotel. I’ve never seen a room so clean in my life. This hotel is in a good location with lots of nearby takeout restaurants. If you’re looking for an escape during these crazy times, I would recommend the Chattanooga Edwin Hotel.
The staff was very excellent, they went above and beyond for anything I needed, they were professional and attentive. Drew at the front desk was extremely helpful when i needed to book another night because i missed my flight. :) Highly recommend this hotel. Everything about it exceeded my expectations
The bed is very comfortable (not too firm and not too soft). The a/c is very loud but works well. The room is gorgeous with artwork and minimal carpeting. Cleanest room Ive ever stayed in. The TV is huge and you can cast your Netflix account from your phone to it. There are all kinds of amenities available. Theres a small market across the street. The pedestrian Bridge is outside the door. Parking is minimal and valet costs extra. So be prepared. We will absolutely be back for a longer stay.
Super nice and trendy hotel. The location is amazing and is surrounded by a very cool part of Chattanooga. Hotel is very nice and the rooms are very comfortable. I definitely recommend if youre staying in Chattanooga!
The building itself and location are great but it’s the people that really make this hotel fantastic! Every request was enthusiastically fulfilled! Drew, Chanelle, and one of the managers at whiskey thief (didn’t catch his name) in particular are real stars! Chanelle is a great server, she took a genuine interest in her guests, while still maintaining efficient service. They’re lucky to have her! I would give them 6 stars if I could.
While we didnt stay here, I can say that Whitebird, the restaurant on the ground floor is fantastic. The rooftop bar is also great. I cant speak for the middle of the building, but I can say the bottom floor and top floors are awesome. Would go again.
Only hotel I will stay at! I love. They make sure you’re taken care of during your whole stay, it’s worth the price. Their breakfast is amazing and the roof is such a view.
One word. Amazing!
I was going to try to think about you all the way down there but its not a certificate or something close to that I have to go to the party on Mars not a huge deal with this transfer it is that you are aware that you have no credit check NOW JUST WANTED YOU to KNOW THAT I HAVE TO GO KNOCK OUTER SPACE AND YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO TURN ON THE ACTUALITY OF THOSE EXIST
This is an eclectic hotel, that is working hard to prevent the spread of Covid within its establishment. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It falls down a little on the room amenities. We stayed in a king suite. The bathroom was dark and hard to see inside. The toilet lid was loose and fell off after 2 days. It was hard to figure out those little things as there were no room or facility instructions on the designated TV channel. Skimped on facial tissue and the working desk that was supposed to be in the room ( the high long table perhaps? ) would not have been accessible due to no chair. It was a nice room that didnt reflect its price.
The Edwin has to be the coolest hotel Ive stayed in with its sleek, modern and highly interesting decor. The staff is pleasant and helpful and the bar and restaurant are top notch. Close to the art district and other things to do.
BBQ lamb ribs up on the deck are fantastic. The biscuits and gravy in the main floor dining room are wonderful!
I don’t usually write reviews but this experience was worth bragging about. My twin and I wanted a mini getaway for our amazing mom, and was glad we choose Edwin. I enjoyed walking in and seeing all the beautiful details and attention taken. The rooftop bar was beautiful and drinks were excellent. I also went to the spa in the hotel and that was definitely a must. Overall I left the Edwin feeling this is a hotel I cannot to experience again.
Great hotel and staff, really enjoyed our stay. It’s in a great spot. Just wish you had other parking choices other than valet.
Great place. Excellent staff. Swanky all around and killer location.
Beautiful property! Very nice! Exquisite artwork throughout the entire property, and in every room. On-site bar, latte shoppe, rooftop pool, fitness room. $12/day valet service. Very pricey, but worth it for the value and the customer service is second to none! 4 Stars bc the rooms are small and the pool is tiny and only 3 and a half feet deep.
Beautiful hotel, the rooms are luxurious, and the staff friendly and helpful. And Chattanooga is a beautiful city.
What a beautiful hotel! Roof top heated pool & workout center. Unfortunately we didnt get to experience the rooftop bar & grill. But will on the next trip
Nice place ya got here. Lots of space
Great hotel with an updated elegance.
Stop looking at other hotels and do yourself a favor and book the Edwin. Absolutely beautiful lobby, rooms, public areas and bars/restaurants. The view from Whiskey Thief (rooftop bar) is amazing. Rooms are very comfortable and spotless. The staff is fantastic - genuinely care about you being there. You cant beat the location either - right at the foot of the pedestrian bridge and an easy walk to all of the attractions downtown. Will definitely return here the next trip to Chattanooga.
Cant say enough great things about The Edwin and their generous, kind, wonderful staff! Camden, Javier, Drew and Megan from guest services, Matt from the bar and our servers upstairs (whose names Im embarrassed to be blanking on), the valet crew, and every single Edwin team member we had the chance to meet were so warm, gracious and excited to help in any way possible. We booked a Sunday Funday package so we were treated to brunch at Whitebird (get the biscuit platter - like the southern answer to a charcuterie board with housemade jams and sorghum butter - SO good) and drinks at Whiskey Thief after a day of exploring, plus coffees in the morning from Provisions. We were also upgraded to a balcony suite room with unreal views of the Walnut Street bridge and Arts District from every single window and even in the 30-degree weather, we couldnt bring ourselves to leave our patio (except to refill our drinks from the bar upstairs and down). One of our favorite details was the in-room Crosley record player and albums to set a soundtrack for your stay. Im writing a novel here so Ill shut up, but we had an absolutely PERFECT stay at The Edwin - we were even able to bring our dog who also loved the hotel and its unlimited dog treats and staff who complimentedand petted him everywhere he went - and we were already planning our next trip back by the time we checked out. You should plan yours too! You wont find a better location or a better experience.
I love this place the bar is really nice with great views
Damaged carBird Dog Parking (Edwin Hotel valet service) scraped the front passenger side of our car. They denied any involvement. Bird Dog Parking is supposed to take pictures of the car upon arrival. Mysteriously there were none taken of our car. Edwin Hotel is unique, clean and in a great location. The hotel’s personal were very nice. BEWARE if you use Bird Dog Parking, Edwin Hotel valet service, take pictures of your car with date and time stamp!
Beautiful views. Nice staff and great rooms.
We love the Edwin! Perfect location, the staff is wonderful, rooms are clean. Thank you for always giving us a wonderful stay!
I’ve stayed at a lot of nice hotels over the years but this one was special. It’s in a great location with the aquarium, museum, and bridge just steps from the hotel. The service was so good as well! Many times the service you get at luxury hotels is a bit standoffish but not here! They were professional but still made you feel so welcome. Special shout out to Bethany at the front desk. She went above and beyond and I could not be more grateful. The valet service was also easy and fast. As for Whiskey thief. The rooftop terrace had great views and definitely not something you’ll want to miss. The only thing I didn’t love was that the double queen room felt a little small so in a future stay I might upgrade to a larger room but other than that it was a great.
I must admit The art work and the furniture inside the hotel is beautiful. The staff was pretty friendly too! What got me was when I got up to the “rooftop bar/pool. So disappointed the pool was the size of a hot tub and there was no bar. The view was nice I guess but I was bummed I paid 327 for an average hotel.. I’m sorry I’ll have to explore other options next time because to me it just wasn’t worth it!
The stay was a dream! It was our first time at the Edwin and the occasion was our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and filled with art in all the common areas. The rooms are beautifully design and detail is in every corner. Emma from the front desk made our stay perfect with fantastic recommendations and a bottle of Prosecco to cheer our anniversary. The roof top bar is a must, it is the perfect combination for hand crafted cocktails and views of the river.
The Edwin Hotel in Chattanooga was exquisitely designed & nicely situated in what appeared to be Downtown Chattanooga. There was some construction underway near the entrance of the hotel, as well as the streets surrounding, but we were absolutely unaffected by it. We heard none of it while indoors the entire 3 night stay. The front desk staff & valet crew was totally hospitable & profesional. They made my guest & I feel like they were interested in our stay & our plans there. They even suggested some great things to do & places to dine. The furnishings were modern & in immaculate condition. We had the Art District view & the Roof Top level was really serene. The pool was heated, as well, but on a smaller scale. My ONLY con- to this trip was our large flat screen tv having an annoying static sound emitting from it. Even when the tv was placed on mute. We notified the front desk, but by the time we checked out - it was still present. I often wondered if it was slightly overpriced but for the trip & experience, I sucked it up.
My wife and I recently stayed here. The rooftop bar is highly advertised so we decided to give it a try. We were treated so rudely by the host that we simply turned around and left. We made the short walk to Big River Grille and Brewery which was excellent and the staff members were a thousand times more hospitable. When our stay was over I left a rather large tip on my credit card for the valet attendants, only to be treated rudely when I didnt give a cash tip as well. It is customary... Simply not worth it to stay here.
I know conditions with Covid are harsh, and a typical stay sans pandemic may look vastly different. However, my recent stay at the hotel will most likely result in me never staying again. I had booked the hotel a week prior to my stay, and requested a couple of the amenities (early check in and a pack n play) that while not guaranteed, I received no indication of whether or not they would be honored. When I called the day of my stay, the individual I spoke with not only gave the excuse of being completely booked - but was rude on the phone as well. I dont know why being booked and the fact that I had the request in a week prior mattered, but he promised I would get a heads up call - on whether he could make it it happen. Check in rolls around, so - guess we couldnt get that - and when we got there, the person at the desk was oblivious of the pack n play we may need. The room itself is very nice - while providing nothing that a patron might require to find out exactly what comes with a $400/night hotel. Well, apparently not much. So, we figured the cost is to pay the rent, the crown moulding, the nice beds, and the restaurant. There was nothing to indicate the above average price that this was an above average hotel. We went to the roof top pool that apparently didnt get cleaned as my wife and I pulled about 30 flies out. Fun, I guess? No wet bar in the room, it was absent of anything even a $200/room hotel often offers. Again, I get its trying times - but - even when my wife went to the supplies store for coffee and a muffin. Wow. Bring your own. Coffee is not worth the money, and the muffin was....yeah...bring your own. Both whiskey thief and the restaurant downstairs are terrific.I cant state enough that...it may be completely different if the circumstances were different. But, for $400/night...let me know what to expect. Save a couple hundred and go to a Westin.
Cute property. Nice employees. Honestly the staff on arrival was the highlight of our stay. The rooms are very small. Our first room was extremely smelly, so we were moved to another room and long story short, we basically didn’t sleep all weekend. We were in town to celebrate our wedding anniversary and unfortunately we chose the Edwin. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. I’m exhausted and I cried both nights due to the constant noise (grinding gears? An jet idling? Are we next to the boiler room?) Still don’t know where it’s coming from or why. Despite several requests to speak to manager, no one ever contacted us. Again you will not have a relaxing stay here. Yes, it’s a cute place but cute doesn’t matter when you’ve been awake all weekend and had to pay for it. Just awful.
Gorgeous hotel.
This hotel was wedding central for our daughters wedding in October. They went above and beyond in making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The food at the Whitebird was so delicious we didn’t have to leave the hotel. After the rehearsal dinner and wedding we all enjoyed the Whiskey Bar on the rooftop. The view was amazing and the fun never stopped!
Staff was kind, attentive and generous. The rooms were just as comfortable as home.
I was kinda disappointed but it was very clean
Lovely ambience with gorgeous local artwork. Excellent service. Perfect location. Amazing rooftop bar!
Staff and location is amazing. Hotel is clean and modern. That being said...Worst mattress Ive ever slept on. Couch was more art than furniture (uncomfortable and useless). The other seating option were two stools with no backs. Ended up having to pile pillows against the wall to sit up and read. The toilet and facial tissue was equal to industrial sandpaper. If youre still reading...we really enjoyed everything else about this location. Its proximity to the Walnut Street Bridge and all of the local attractions is the main reason we chose this hotel. The staff would be the reason that we return.Hopefully my review will be taken seriously and the owner will correct the issues mentioned. Furniture can be art...if its not comfortable, it shouldnt be in a room. Hotels of this caliber need to give attention to all the areas of comfort...mattress, seating, toilet paper, facial tissue. Theyre basic but critical (I think).I would stay here again...location, location, location + staff
For the price, I was very happy and impressed with the quality of this hotel. Playfully artistic and creative decor, which is a nice change of scenery from the plain, ordinary feel of the major hotel groups. The restaurant downstairs, Whitebird, had excellent food and service. The location of the hotel is great if you are interested in taking a casual walk by the river or walk across the bridge to go through shops on the other side of the river. I had to take away a star because of the parking arrangement... the only options are valet ($20) or street parking. But the rest of the stay was close to perfect. I would definitely stay here again!
We had our Naughty Cat Cafe employee holiday party at the Edwin last week. Top notch experience from start to finish. Emma and Lisa took great care of us upon arrival. Drinks on the roof were awesome. Room was perfect. We will be back and we are excited to have a new recommendation to give our guests that visit the cafe. Thanks to the Edwin for adding such value to Chattanooga.
The Edwin is such a welcome addition to the hotel scene in Chattanooga. First of all the location and the space itself can’t be beat. The attention to detail (design, artwork, staff, etc) definitely place it a step above anything else in Chattanooga. From the moment you pull up the bellmen and valets are helpful and kind. The front desk staff is exceptional. I was also impressed with the service at Whitebird and Whiskey Thief. These are no ordinary hotel restaurants or bars. The food & cocktails are really good and I would visit both when in Chattanooga whether I was staying at the hotel or not. Try the burger. You won’t be sorry. Also, the grilled cheese and tomato bisque at Whitebird can’t be beat. The views throughout the hotel are really nice, but the rooftop terrace at Whiskey Thief gives an excellent view of the Walnut Street bridge, the river and the Hunter Museum. Stay here! You won’t be sorry.
The Edwin is definitely a gem in Chattanooga! Beautiful location, so much of city is walkable from the hotel. Really enjoyed Whitebird restaurant breakfast. Nice combinations and offerings. Like the amount of local sourced items available. Whiskey Thief bar is becoming one of my favorites. Service this stay was fantastic. The view from the terrace is sublime!

The quaint Autograph hotel embodies the geography of Chattanooga with its name its homage to its city. Its fancy yet welcoming.
Super nice place!
A property that any traveler with Pups would love to stay. Older folks have themselves and their little friends--mine are pups. It is difficult to find great accommodations that allow your best friends (pups) to accompany us--thus we stay home. The EDWIN is one that I recommend with beautiful walking areas, plenty of pet Friendly establishments in Chattanooga withing a short walking distance from the Hotel. Marvelous food and the overall Open Arms of the people of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Beautiful room and great service
We stayed for our anniversary and were a bit disappointed. Its a fine enough hotel, it just really isnt worth the price (at least in my opinion). We chose it bc it arguably seemed like the nicest/highest end hotel in Chattanooga and although we didnt expect a Four Seasons experience, to us we might as well have stayed at their sister hotel, the Moxy for a lot less. The rooms are small, with new cheap furnishings, that I doubt will age well, and had that similar modern look of The Moxy. We were in a King Room, overlooking construction and pretty much on the street- so no privacy. We asked if there were other rooms available (since as Gold Members, we are allowed an upgrade, if available) but there were none and told we could move the next day. We decided to leave it, although the room was not great, it was fine but the following morning we called to get our room cleaned (need to specially request due to Covid) and we came back at 3 PM it still had not been cleaned. We decided to take them up on the now available upgrade- which at first, wasnt even going to be an upgrade, it was just going to be 1 floor higher, with the same view. I pushed back and then got another King room on the other side of the hotel, slightly larger in size. I thought that was really disappointing- it was a Sunday, not nearly at capacity, we are entitled to an upgrade if available but they still tried to short change us and for what? It was no loss to them to give us that better room. When my husband went downstairs to get the key, they offered us a free breakfast, for the next day, which was quite good.Another short coming was a check in- lost opportunity to tell us what was available at the hotel, no mention of the internet, the roof top bar, the pool- only told us about the spa. I did my research awhile back and forgot about the roof top bar, which I had wanted to go to.The staff are very friendly but dont seem to be well versed in some of the basics of customer service. Hotel is in a great location and is a lovely city. We will be back but next time will consider staying at one of the Inns in the neighborhood, the Moxy or possibly the Read House. This hotel doesnt seem to give any extras worth the price differences of where we will consider for next time.
