Master Silva is very well informed about multiple forms of martial arts, we spoke at length about the variations of style and how they compliment each other. He was very forthright about the style of TKD he teaches which is the Olympic style of TKD you would see if you watched any of the summer games. There is multiple styles of TKD and I highly suggest you reach out to Master Silver if youre curious about the other Korean martial arts as he is very well versed in them along with other styles not from Korea.

Master Silva is a wonderful and patient instructor. He takes the time to work with the kids and evaluate each of them individually. My kids have both become very excitedly focused since we joined at the end of December. I think we made an awesome decision to trust Master Silva (and Miss Meghan) to teach our children martial arts!

I visited the dojo to watch my niece practice her new love of martial arts. I was very impressed with the level of discipline that each child exhibited. My niece’s behavior overall has improved. Yong-In is anything but ordinary. This martial arts school not only teaches traditional Taekwondo, but also teaches discipline, respect, responsibility, focus, and so much more. We have been with the school for 2 years and 4 out of the 7 members of my family take classes. My oldest son who has a sensory disorder has excelled and become much more confident in himself due highly in part to Master Silva. The staff is incredibly amazing and they take great pride in their students. They are more than a school for us, they are our family.

We have been here a year! The instructors are amazing. My 2 year old even knows some moves! It has taught my 8 year old son more respect, and confidence towards himself and others. Taekwondo is great for personal strength. And self control.

Yong-In Chattanooga is an awesome place. Master Silva is a great instructor. My son has some disabilities and Master Silva works with him, is patient with him and knows how hard to push him to get him to do his best. I would highly recommend him and the other instructors.

Such a motivating and friendly environment! Taekwondo is so much fun with our teacher and the other students. Everyone is so supportive. Many life skills can be learned by taking classes too!

As a lifetime martial artist, I was very selective when choosing a school for my son. Young-In TKD is the real deal! The quality of the instructors is impressive, and every class is tailored to be both fun and challenging for everyone regardless of age or ability! Master Jeong and his instructors have an exceptional level of energy and professionalism. Yong in has worked wonders on my daughter who has asd and severe anxiety. Her meltdowns are far and few in between. Martial Arts has been the 1st thing that has ever really caught her attention. Master Silva and Master Jeong are very welcoming and willing to help in any way possible!

We took TKD at Yong-in for some time and are moving so I went in to cancel my membership. Mr. Silva didnt honor the previous owners agreement that we could cancel at anytime because it wasnt in the paperwork and charged a 6 month penalty. Just beware if you sign anything to make sure its in writing. If you want the best self-defense training I would recommend Mickey Swafford at Chattanooga Jiu-Jitsu, He works with you on payment and you can cancel at anytime. Its not all about the money with him, He just loves instructing.

We have been coming here since the summer of 2016. I brought my two kids because they have asthma and find it difficult to do outdoor sports. They have thrived, and look forward to class as a way to play, not as work. It is a very supportive environment, praising success and providing encouragement when things are difficult. They enjoyed taking Tae Kwon Do so much I started taking Yongmoodo classes here as well.
