Neutral review here. Friendly, no wait. Prices was on the door. Decent haircut. I am used to paying $15 for a cut and usually leave $5 tip so in comparison very expensive. Wouldnt go again because of price alone.

I’m a regular at white oak and good fellas but this time since they all been booked for the rest of the month wanted to try this place out. Straight up cheeks at cutting people’s hair this old dude charged me 40 bucks for a pos haircut, that’s more than I usually pay, very poor quality after I told him to cut my sides but didn’t want to any skin to show and still he went on and did it anyway. Didn’t bother to take his time either 15 mins max, even left my back side with some hair hanging off still, smh more like a 10 dollar haircut to me fr.

Quell is an excellent barber and good man. My haircut and beard trim were just as ordered. Quells business practices are exceptional. The shop gives a welcoming vibe. As Chattanooga residents, it is good to buy local. Quell is a life long resident who in turn supports the local community. Give GBL a try, you wont be disappointed.

Great place to get your hair cut

To start, I appreciated that they took me without an appointment. However during the wait and haircut they had music blasting with rappers CURSING over and over again with little kids in the area. The stuff the rapper said was really OFFENSIVE however I wanted to be respectful so I remained quiet. When the haircut was over I asked how much (their was no posted price for the cut) and he told me $30 cash! I was shocked and gave him $40 and waited for change. He just took my money turned his back to me and started cleaning up. The 20min haircut was not worth $40, but I was so tired of the music and wanted to be respectful that I kindly left.To the owner, may I suggest that you tell the customers the price and that you dont accept credit cards before the haircut. Also to have a higher standard by not having music saying F that, or kill... with kids around.

Went to get a haircut today and was the only one there. The barber and I discussed the military as I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran. After finishing my haircut I asked how much I owed and the answer was $40 !!! I mean, I just wanted a haircut. I have never in all my 73 years paid $40 for a haircut! SuperCuts I pay $14. I usually leave a $6 tip. At $40 there was no room for a tip. Would not recommend this establishment for a haircut.

I walked in this morning with no appointment, but Craig took me in and straightened me up. After he was done with my hair and beard I felt like a new man (and didn’t look to bad either)! The atmosphere is fantastic, family friendly, and worth every penny. Highly recommend! If you forget cash, just download the CashApp and you’ll be good to go.

I have been growing my hair out for about 3 years so i had come in for a haircut finally. The place had no business so i was able to get right into the chair. Craig was my barber. i felt comfortable the entire time till about the end. I had said prior that i do not want any product in my hair. He put hairspray in my hair, making me look like a mexican johnny bravo. After i said i did not like what he did. He started to try and convince me that it was good so on and so on. After i finally just said okay. He said “man i just cut hair, i don’t style it”. A barber said this. And then the man said, it’ll be $35. what? and no other service. Just a haircut and no style to it. i rushed home to take a shower and hope to god, it wasn’t a trash haircut. Thankfully, the man was right when he said all he knew how to do was cut the hair. Good haircut, nice clean place, bad hospitality though. Would not come back, but it’s just a haircut. So 3/5

Great cuts for not only myself, but for my children as well. I think its very important to be able to keep the same barber and this is the place to find you one that will keep you fresh at all times. Once you come here you wont need to visit another barber shop.

Nice, clean atmosphere. There was no mention of requiring cash as payment, so I had to leave to go to an atm to get cash. Once I returned from across the street, the shop was closed up, and i noticed some spots that needed a little extra attention. I requested him to fix them, but was refused, stating it would look dumb. Not what I expected when I was referred here..Fairly disappointed in the service and the cut.

The best barber in town! Place is very clean and neat. Mr.Crutcher is a gentleman and always cuts my hair the way I want it... his breath is always fresh...thats important for a barber! This guy cuts every man down to the kids in my family even the GM I work for sons hair. Great guys..beautiful haircuts!
