Dr. Gerald has been very helpful for family therapy. Helping my family work thru trauma in a safe and supportive environment. I just wish the desk assistant would follow up like they say they will. Otherwise, for over two months, been having good sessions.
Do not send your children here or seek help from them. Go anywhere but here. The “care team” of Melissa and Ashley is a complete train wreck. I dropped out of the program because their lack of professionalism was astounding. They are hardly trained and would show up to group late constantly. When asked for flexibility for one day out of the week due to a class (I am a student) they were reluctant and made it an issue. Their “skills” is simply reading from the original DBT handbook it’s honestly such a joke. Two “skills” sessions, Ashley had us play scattegories instead of learning skills!! When I left the program they would not accommodate my medicine and prohibited me from getting my medicine through my new provider. I went through the withdrawal process because of this. In turn, prairie care DBT out patient program was a complete and utter waste of my time, a self help book would be more beneficial than these uneducated, unqualified, unprepared “care takers.” The group is also not divided up in age groups so I, a 21 year old, was groups with ladies in their 40s-60s which was incredibly uncomfortable. Sarah the prescriber is the only member of the team that actually got to know me and asked the real questions. If you get Ashley or Melissa, your mental health will deteriorate instead. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I went to prairie care against the recommendation of TWO of my friends who have been through all systems (in patient/ out etc) and I throughly regret it.
We were so hopeful when we first found this place and it turned out to be anything but helpful. Discharged my son so unprofessionally, never offered any real help. I am confident in saying this experience did more harm then good. If your looking for help as a family there is no such thing here. Very unprofessional and really gives mental health services a bad name. Shame on them. Please look elsewhere for your child.
You can never get through to talk to anyone. I got charged $90 for a missed Appt. I called the morning of to explain that my daughter was severely ill and throwing up so I didn’t want to bring her in. Her brother had also caught her virus so I knew we were contagious. Had to leave a message as the person she was supposed to see could only be scheduled by her assistant. We had waited 6 weeks for the Appt and did not want to miss it which is why we didn’t cancel earlier. I begged for a reschedule but nobody called back. I tried calling multiple times but never heard back from them until I got the bill. Stay clear of this clinic. Horrible customer service. If the clinic reads this...we had Norovirus and our Pediatrician recommended we stay out of public places. I assumed you would respect our decision to not infect your facility. Guess not
Absolutely horrible. My group verbally attacked me during therapy sessions (with the counselor present) and doctor yurchenko prescribed me a medication that can be lethal when discontinued, then discontinued it due to accidentally taking the pill twice. To this day I am in agony and wondering whether I will live to wake up and see the next day, my seizures are so bad now (which I didnt have before I saw this evil woman) that if I do not get this addictive medicine I have seizures every 30 seconds or less. She did not tell me lorazepam was addictive at all. I was 16.
I wouldn’t recommend going to the partial hospital program in chaska was horrible and the staff were plain awful and rude! And the staff don’t even know what there doing and how to handle these crazy groups
I am extremely disappointed with this experience. The staff is very disorganized. I have left several messages that have not been returned. I had to fill out two release of information forms because they LOST the first one. Now, its months after the evaluation and cannot get any written documentation from them. IF you are a parent and want quality care, this is not the place.
My kids have seen Dr. Culbert who is great! This review is for the reception and nurses at Chaska. CALL PEOPLE BACK!!! You NEVER answer the phones, people are at the mercy of getting a hold of anyone. I’m on day THREE now trying to get a script filled for my son and I’m ticked!! Customer service really needs to be worked on here!
We were not really happy with their nurse Erica Green. People think that she is a psychiatrist, but shes not. She was very unprofessional and was making false assumptions and had no explainations why....We went to a different place for DBT therapy and it sounds like Prairie Care has been having problems keeping their patients and they have a high employee turn over rate. I WOULD NOT recommend going there!
Very disappointed with Prarie Care in Chaska. The staff is very disorganised.I had a conference call with Prarie Care and my daughters school and during the call the phone cut me off and they didnt bother to connect me back on the call, they continued without me. Then my daughter had an appointment with Mallory and when I went to check in for the appointment the receptionist said oh I was to call you because Mallory called in sick today so after taking two hours off work and driving 30 minutes to get to the appointment she said I would have to reschedule . The receptionist said Mallory would call me to reschedule . It has been two weeks and I still have not recieved a call from Mallory!Would NOT recommended Prarie Care!!
We are so grateful for this place! Highly reccomend!
Staff is knowledgeable. Rules are pretty strict though~!
Highly recommend for any childrens mental health needs.
Very disorganized, chaotic staff. Not family-friendly at all. Phone contacts are not knowledgeable and seem to be both poorly trained and poorly informed. Theres got to be a better program than this one.
