Alex helped get a drone down from a tree. He was quick to respond to my initial call and, more importantly, was willing to move quickly ahead of some rain that would have caused serious damage. Would highly recommend.

I hired Jason, the owner of BRTS, when the first company failed to complete the job and left two large downed trees on the property for a week. The owner of that company not only failed to complete the job, but failed miserably at communicating throughout the process. When I called Jason he responded promptly and took care of the entire job at a fair price. His team was efficient and professional and completed the job on time with no issues. When I discovered the original company did not complete grinding one of the larger stumps, Jason returned and took care of it without charging me. Could not get a written quote out of this guy. He first claimed to send it to the wrong email address, so I gave him the correct email address and he still wouldnt send it, despite promising to do that afternoon. Reminded him the next day and got the same story, but with some attitude.

(February 2019) Alex and his team at Blue Ridge Tree Service just finished a tree removal job at our house in Charlottesville and we could not be happier. We had a giant pine tree leaning badly. It was located in our backyard, kind of a tight space and difficult to squeeze men and trucks into. The tree was resting on top of a healthy tree that we desperately hoped to save. Alex and his team arrived on time, and they brought a cherry-picker type truck that was much taller than other tree companies own. The height of any tree services cherry-picker truck is extremely important so be sure to ask everyone you are getting estimates from! Taller is better! That was a key factor in our decision to hire Blue Ridge Tree Service because a shorter cherry-picker severely limits the teams options when it comes to protecting other trees close by. The Blue Ridge team clearly had an efficient system all set up for making safe and quick work of our project. They hauled off the wood and shredded the giant stump and exposed roots to our satisfaction. An equally important factor in our happiness with this company is the fact that they had zero sales tactics. They had no interest in trying to sell us on removing other trees (we have many) nor trying to convince us to sign up for some sort of yearly appointment, which other companies (Van Yahres, Im talking about you! Ugh!) tried to do. I was so pleased with their work that I showed Alex a couple of other trees I have concerns about and he emailed me a reasonably priced estimate. He even said If your husband is handy with a chainsaw, he could cut down those 2 (thinner) trees himself rather than try to convince me to have his tree service do it. All in all, I can not recommend Blue Ridge Tree Service highly enough! They are exactly what we were looking for and I am certain they will handle your tree project successfully too! And they are nice people to deal with!

Mr. Bowles has been doing this for only 3 years but has the experience of a veteran arborist. I would definately recommend the services of Blue Ridge Tree Service LLC to anyone.
