Love my wedding rings that I purchased a few years back. But I think its B.S. that their warranties do not cover lost or stolen rings. Whats the point in paying all that money if they wont take care of you when life happens? Will never buy from this company again.

If I could give them 0 I would. Been paying on a fix that I had done for my ring. Went to pick it up and they didnt have it. They sent it back to their home office. Now they are telling me it will be 2 - 3 weeks to get my ring. The most unorganized people I have ever seen.
My $7000 wedding set was sent off to have the center stone tightened and the set was supposed to be welded together. The first time they came back the center stone was still loose so they sent it back. The second time they came back the rings were welded together BACKWARDS. Yup, backwards. The third time they came back there was hardly any metal left on them and my “Neil Lane” mark was completely covered over. The repair shop RUINED my rings. I wish I knew where their repair shop was. Up to this point I’ve blamed the repair shop and not the retail store.However, the last thing I was told was that a new set had to made. It’s been 3 months since this whole process started and still no rings. I always have to be the one to call them to get an update or go by the store. Last time I went in they told me that they had received 4 wedding bands but no engagement ring for some reason. If I could give negative stars I would. WORST CARE AND EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD WITH JEWELRY. Whether you spend $7 or $7000, your pieces should be treated with respect. Why waste my money on the “extra service plan” if it doesn’t actually DO anything. In fact, they BOTCHED my rings. I was better off not taking them in at all to begin with. I’ll be going in today AGAIN. They haven’t called me to give me an update since this whole thing started.
My husband and I bought wedding bands, service plans, and sent the rings to be sized on 03/08/2020. The Promise Date was 03/25/2020. I received the following in an automated email on 03/21/2020:Dear Valued Kay Jewelers Customer,At Kay Jewelers we understand how much your jewelry means to you and want you to know how much we appreciate your trust in us to properly restore it. As the safety and security of our employees and customers is our top priority, we want to inform you that your local Kay Jewelers store is temporarily closed. Although your precious jewelry is either at the closed location or waiting for restoration at one of our service centers, we want to assure you that we have taken great care to safely secure your jewelry.As we navigate through this very challenging time in our country, we anxiously await the re-opening of the store and will notify you when your jewelry is ready for you to pick it up.Please stay safe during this time. We will get through this together.Sincerely,Kay JewelersCustomer Care... It is now 6/18/2020 and I have not heard anything from anyone. When you call the Charlottesville store, you cant get an answer or leave a message. The voicemail basically says, were closed get over it, with no options, suggestions, or offers of assistance of any kind. We found out the Lynchburg store is open so we called them for help. They said theyd make a few calls and get back to us but never did. My husband called them back the other day but only got the runaround.We have spent thousands of dollars at Kay in Charlottesville and up until recently we have had fantastic experiences but this has us absolutely furious! Not only did we have to cancel our wedding and settle for getting married at the courthouse but we didnt even have our rings when we did it!A month or so ago I would have been happy just to hear from someone with an update but now its getting to the point now where I really just want to ask for a refund! Come on Kay, show some respect and consideration for your LOYAL customers before they take their business elsewhere!!!
My husband purchased a ring for my birthday and it wasnt in for that day and they guaranteed the ring would be in by 9/07/2018. Not to my surprise, it wasnt. I can already tell the quality is probably bad. Do not purchase from Kays or any other mall jeweler, they dont offer clarity certifications, they dont stand by their word and just google and find other information out there. You can buy a much better diamond (or any other stone) elsewhere for usually 1/3 less than what they charge. If I could give NO stars, I would.

Drive across the mountain to go to the Harrisonburg store instead. Its more than worth it. The customer service and quality level/standards is far better at the Harrisonburg location. Dont even waste your time at the Charlottesville location.
I went in today to do an exchange on a gift and had an excellent customer service experience with only one sales person running the show for mothers day she was killing it with many customers she was polite and keeping her cool under pressure helping everyone meet their needs. You rock Mrs Joe

In September 2014 I purchased a Leo solitaire engagement ring and a wedding band for my future wife. I had such a pleasant experience with Roxy and Kasic that I returned and purchased a beautiful set of diamond hoop earrings for Kathy. If you are contemplating purchasing an engagement ring or any other jewelry, do yourself a favor and stop in at the Charlottesville Kay store and ask for Roxy or Kasic.
