Aweful customer service. Go to Costco - they take care of you really well. I have an 84 year old mom, and the previous owner of Albemarle Audiology was great - Marianne. New ownership/management is nothing like previous. It would be 0 stars, but I cant post this post without at least giving it a 1 star.
I had never had a hearing test and the one I received was quite thorough and enlightening. Very professional.
The office and all the staff are particularly tuned to meet the patients needs. I felt that they understood my challenges, and found solutions that suited me perfectly. Even in the face of the pandemic, they remain supportive and helpful in keeping my new hearing aids working wonderfully. The difference theyve made in my life is dramatic!
Wonderful staff. Very professional and thorough.
Easy to get an appointment. They ran on schedule.
Very prompt and friendly service with no pressure to buy hearing aids.
Took my almost 86 year old mother to Albemarle Audiology to investigate getting hearing aids for her. The staff members there are so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. My mother was comfortable asking questions and discussing her concerns. I would recommend Albemarle Audiology highly.
I would give zero stars if I could. Took the day off of work for my appointment, show up 15 minutes early to check in. I’m told they are having a problem with a machine and will call me back. I wait 30 minutes and the tech comes to the car and says the machine “got fried over the weekend and isn’t working today.” You couldn’t have called me that morning to let me know??? The lady rudely half apologized and said to come back tomorrow but couldn’t guarantee the machine would be working. She was rude and dismissive. Never again.
I moved here about a year or so ago and was tested by the provider Marian. She is very knowledgeable, she takes the time to provide patients what they need for hearing loss. Connie the secretary is very kind and bubbly she made me feel very welcomed.
I went there for an evaluation, the provider Marians expert knowledge determined that I was having trouble in one ear with my hearing as I expected. Marian and Connie both are very professional, both are sincere and caring.
Ive been going to Albemarle Audiology for almost 10 years and can vouch for their expert knowledge and very caring environment.
I went there initially for an evaluation which, indeed, indicated a hearing loss. That said, I was eager to see what I had been missing. Albemarle Audiology is the only place in Charlottesville that carries Phonaks Lyric hearing aids. With them, I am not aware I have a hearing loss. I would not trade them for any other device - and I have tried. The service Marion and her staff provide is great. I find making appointments for replacements to be an easy task. The actual time in office for the replacement is maybe 10-15 minutes ... every six weeks or so.
So kind, compassionate, understanding, helpful and full of incredible knowledge and wisdom about the health issues. Definitely the one to go to!
Marian Fredner was the audiologist who checked my hearing when I entered the hospital with a severe viral ear infection in June, 2004. The infection destroyed my right inner ear. So when I needed to hear better, I turned to her. She has been thoughtful and professional, caring for me every step of the way, and always trying to fit me with the device that best suits my need. I started out with a single Phonak hearing aid in the only ear that could hear. Then Phonak came out with a Cros--a device that fits in my totally deaf ear and transmits the sound via radio waves (or Bluetooth or something) to the hearing aid in my good ear. Now I can hear what people are saying who sit on my deaf side. Recently I lost my Cros (again). It was covered by insurance, so I ordered a new one (with a $400 co-pay). It came in, she fitted me, and sent me on my way. I was so glad I could hear again. But the next day I noticed the good-ear device was not signaling it was or was not receiving the signal from the Cros. I called her up, and she found a time for me to see her the next day. In about 15 minutes she had me hearing beautifully and I went my way home singing--and no service fee. Marian Fredner knows her trade, and she cares for her clients. I highly recommend Albemarle Audiology.
Very helpful staff.
