I brought a pair of tall boots for a simple fix on a zipper that was coming unstitched. They were able to fix my boots same day! Reasonable price and good quality on the stitching. Ill definitely be back for any other boot repairs.

Brought in a pair of boots for some stitching on one toe. They weren’t ready when I was told to pick them up, I wasn’t called when they finally were (as I was told I would be), and when I finally picked them up they were essentially ruined. It looked like someone had scrawled all over the seam with a black pen (black thread on tan boots) on not only the boot I wanted mended but on the perfectly good one as well. They couldn’t even use a similar color thread? I was told they would have had to take them apart to fix them properly but I wasn’t told that and they didn’t even attempt to make them look presentable. They were almost $300 boots and I’m pretty sure they can’t be saved now. They charged $30 for this. When I complained they refunded half but that doesn’t help the fact that they ruined a pair of not inexpensive boots. Definitely don’t go here.

My favorite pair of boots had a broken zipper. I took them to Ace, not Bob, because of the bad reviews here. Ace told me to go to Bobs for that particular repair. So I did. I told them I was reluctant to even be there because of all the bad reviews. I said if they could do a good job then Id write a good review. This is a good review, Im happy to say. They replaced the zipper on both boots and I really do like the results. I think Ace cant do everything Bob can do, so you may have to go to Bobs. (They are right around the corner from each other.) They really did do a fine job, so if you give them a try, mention youll give them a good review and youll probably be okay.

Ive been going to Bobs for years and have always been pleased. Solid workmanship for fair prices.

Had a brand new leather laptop sleeve converted to velcro to a snap button. Liked the work done but the gentleman made a clearly visible scratch on the new sleeve. Even after I noticed it, while he took it behind the counter to fix it, it was returned to me basically unaltered. I still paid the 10$ he charged, which I shouldnt have. A proper business would not have charged me after the damage.

Not a very experienced cobbler.First experience: Dropped off a pair of boots to have rubber Vibram soles replaced. Never received phone call of completion and to come pick up. When I did eventually go by there, the boots were ready but the soles were now 1.5 inches thick!!! They looked like platform shoes. There were scuff marks on the boots from the repair process and the boots looked worse than when I dropped them off. Every shoe repair place I have ever used in the past has always cleaned and polished the pair before returning.Second experience: I felt like giving him a second shot (only game in town). Dropped my favorite pair of black loafer to have new rubber soles. Again he never called when they were ready. When I went by there the shoes were ready and like before were dusty and had scuff marks on them from the repair. And again there was this thick one inch sole on my shoes. They also weighed about 3 times more. We had a discussion about the soles and the quality of work and he agreed to redo them. On the redo he never called when shoes were done. Soles were better but not what they once were and shoes are still very heavy compared to what they were.I will never make the mistake of going to him again.

This place is incredibly disorganized, and they effectively destroyed my favorite pair of boots. I came to Bobs to get a second opinion on my boots that another shop said they could not resole, telling the customer service person that they were my favorite pair and asking them to be 100% certain of whether or not they could be resoled. After the lady made thorough efforts to assure me that her husband has repaired shoes for 30 years, theres nothing he cant do, I reluctantly left them at Bobs and was told they would be ready a week later. The day they were supposed to be finished, they hadnt even been touched. I came back two days later to have them tell me that not only could they not resole my boots, but they had taken off the heel and completely lost it! I was told by customer service that I would be compensated by the manager, but I never received a call. Only after calling was I able to get the owner/manager on the phone, and he refused to compensate me. Terrible, terrible place - do NOT give them your time or money!

I brought a pair of nice heeled boots in to have a resole done. When I got them back, the heels were uneven, and the new soles - which he had glued on - were attached so poorly that they were already beginning to peel off. I pointed this out, and he very huffily consented to take another look.When I got the boots back again, he’d nailed on the back edge of the sole, but the nails used to attach the back edge of the sole were crooked and not flush to the sole. One was even missing already.I decided to cut my losses and try and take my boots elsewhere, but other cobblers said they couldn’t fix them because the guy here used too much glue.

Very disgusting place. Roaches climbing everywhere and the machines are nasty. The dryers do not dry your clothes and dont bother mentioning it to the owners of the laundromat because she told me if the machine doesnt dry my clothes that my problem and to keep adding money. I advise not to waste your time or money at this filthy place, definitely will not return!

Awful, been there 3 times to pic up a simple leather coat repair. Still not even worked on, acts like I’m unconvincing him..this is for my husbands jacket.Before that I had my boots resoled and he gave them to me, after I took them home I noticed he had never nailed the soles only glued. I took them back and he said oh well I must have forgotten to do that... leave them with me and I will fix.!!Ugh!! I’m so disgusted with this company!

Brought a pair of pants that belt loops were coming unstitched and needed hemming and reinforcement of loops. After I picked them up, hemming was uneven and 1 belt loop was still unattached. I had to go back and have it redone. I would not consider having him do my expensive dress pants and jeans so I had to go take them back before they were done as poorly as the other pair. Poor attention to detail and lack of care for his work. Go somewhere else.

I brought in a pair of my mom’s shoes that needed a lift in them and she was extremely pleased with the result. We will be coming back.
