My wife and I were in the market for a new fireplace and scheduled a time for them to come to inspect our house but found a much better deal somewhere else. I canceled via online and they still charged me a 50.00 cancellation fee. When I called to ask why they lady was rude and said their time is valuable because they are a small company.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. I have used Wooden Sun twice now to service my fireplace (propane), and I am a very satisfied customer. The technician, Kim, was extremely professional and kind. He removed his shoes on the front porch, set up tarp on the floor for his work area around the fireplace, and abided by all COVID precautions. My fireplace is up and running just in time for another snowstorm. I will always use this company for my future service needs.

Hired for a cleaning and repair estimate; the onsite crew was professional, competent and courteous. Called and e-mailed the front office multiple times and after weeks of non-returned messages was given a quote that ranged from $6k to $18k. Another local company was happy to give me a detailed quote with a much smaller range. Finally, when I talked to the front office to pay for the cleaning, they asked if I wanted to move forward with the quote and I said no and why. Within minutes I got a notificaion that person was looking at my LinkedIn profile. Creepy...

I was feeling very worried about our chimney because its pretty old. They came out, looked it over and made me feel a lot better by giving it pretty good bill of health. It just needed some work done on the top and needed to have a cap added since it has not had a cap on it for years. (This is one reason why it needed work on the top. Because it had no protection for so long.)The final result looks great and the team was super easy to work with, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Also, the total price was very reasonable.I talked to Kim (the owner) and he let me know some of the newer, safer, and more long-lasting chimney construction techniques that they are using today. He also showed me some of the highly efficient wood stoves that are on the market. If we ever rebuild our chimney (or home), my wife and I want to get these guys to take care of our wood stove and chimney construction and design.I highly recommend these folks. Just go and walk around their beautiful showroom to get inspiration if nothing else.

Service Technician was on time, and introduced himself as an employee of Wooden Sun. I advised him that the flame on my pilot light to the fireplace had gone out. I advised that we had checked the propane storage tank, and it was almost full. He immediately recognized that it may be some dust particulates clogging fuel to the pilot light and then he restored the flame. Josh was extremely professional, informative and personable. Great experience start to finish. Wooden Sun helped us select two gas inserts, surrounds, faceplates, etc. then completed an outstanding custom install. Installers were friendly and professional. Email communications throughout the process were great. The end result is perfect!

We bought an HWAM wooden insert from Wooden Sun in May and our experience with the product and their service is excellent. The team there has real expertise, they are master of their craft. That is a rare thing these days and very much appreciated.In addition, the products they sell are top quality. Our insert is incredible: the flames fill out the entire fire box and the heat is wonderful, incomparably better than oil or forced air (which we both have, as well). Plus, there is no more draft, because the fire place is sealed off with the insert.Since our heating bills are cut in half, this is both an aesthetic as well as a financial investment which we are extremely pleased with.

Wooden Sun is awesome. They really know what they are doing, theyre honest, and everyone there always has a good attitude. They work hard, fast, and adapt to curve balls. Theyve installed fireplaces (both gas and wood burning) in my home and they recently installed class A chimney and steam vent pipe for me in a local brewery (Meriwether Springs).

The folks at Wooden Sun are great! True, I have not yet tried out my stove, so if I have major problems with it, I suppose my opinion could change, but in all my dealings with Wooden Sun, they have been knowledgeable, helpful, and professional in every respect. The entire installation of a large wood stove (which required replacing the chimney liner) was done in a day, and Kim even came by at the last minute to help fix a gas line. Its a great team overall, and I plan to keep coming back to them for all my fireplace and wood stove needs.

They give high prices then hound you for the assessment fee right away. I think assessment/estimate fee is ridiculous compared to the thousands of dollars they are trying to land. Update to one star because they STILL feel like reminding me of this ridiculous fee in the review comments. I saved thousands of dollars by going with someone else, stay away.

Jessica and the folks at Wooden Sun were very helpful when we went to them with a cracked glass issue on our stove. Going on line and looking we were shocked to see that a replacement glass would cost so much. Helping us provide the necessary info we were able to take advantage of the warrantee saving us several hundred dollars. What an early Christmas gift. The folks at Wooden Sun are definately on our nice list.

I called them to ask if they had what I was looking for in stock. The woman who answered the phone told me to fill out a form on the internet and someone would get back to me. I explained that I needed to get something quickly and just needed a replacement burner and log assembly for a vent free propane insert and she stonewalled me telling me that there are too many sizes, brands, etc. for her to tell me what they have available. Not helpful at all. I called their competitor (Acme) and had the information I needed in less than a minute. So although Wooden Sun is walking distance from where I work, I drove across town and up Rt. 29 to Acme and spent $800 there on my lunch break to get what I needed.

I wholeheartedly recommend Wooden Sun. They are highly skilled, professional and courteous. Couldnt be happier with the work that they did for us. Very good experience!

Our 1980 wood stove was not functioning properly and Wooden Sun very graciously suggested buying a newer, more efficient stove. We took their advice and were so glad we did! Our new Pacific Energy stove burns 1/2 the amount of wood,puts out more heat and is extremly user friendly. Thank you, Wooden Sun, for guiding us in the right direction.The installer and his two assistants did a wonderful, efficient job including hauling off our old stove and cleaning up after installation.Our salesman/installer, Kim K. was curteous, friendly, professional and knowledgable.
