I had my vehicle towed by Andrew. I can’t say enough about what a kind person he is. Obviously when you need to have your car towed your not having a good day as was my situation. Andrew arrived on time. He immediately made my day a lot better with his kindness and professionalism. Our car is our baby. It’s lowered and have had issues in the past when it needed to be towed. Andrew got the vehicle up on the truck with no problem took extra time to insure it was secured on the truck. He was in contact with me to let me his know his progress as the shop was almost an hour away. He let me know when the vehicle got there safely and put me at ease. Thank you very much for a great job! You guys have a great guy in Andrew and good help is very hard to find.

I waited about 5 hours for a tow and but that was not the bad part. The bad part was when the tow driver lost my keys and Everytime I call someone picks up and hangs up on me. I literally dont have access to my car....This has been going on for 5 days FYI and Im still being hung up on.8/24 So update, they are are stating they never had the keys which is odd.... Considering the fact I put it where they instructed.... Tow driver straight up told me he wasnt informed there was a key now they are saying it wasnt provided which it was. Its probably just in the middle of the street now. Terrible customer service and liars, will never do business with them again, Im working with claims now through the insurance company that hired them.

This is marvelous firm to work with. A late night tow in the middle of nowhere turned in to a real pleasurable experience. Adam is an excellent driver and very concise, precise, and extremely safety cautious. I would recommend A&R Towing to anyone and everyone.

Very unreliable and unprofessional. ETA was an hour and 5 hours later, nobody had any idea the status or what was going on. This was for roadside assistance and because they didn’t respond, the dealer is closed and I have to wait until Monday. Meanwhile my car is blocking the garage so I can’t get my other cars out.

Left sitting on a very crazy interstate for six hours because of a mix-up with Mercedes. Did not call to tell us about the problem. Just did not show.

Confirmed my tow with rude dispatch operator at 7:30pm. Dispatch said it will be 2 hours before the tow arrives. I waited until 11:30pm. This is when I received a text which read “Your tow had been canceled by A&R towing. Sorry!” I waited 4 hours for a tow truck just to have them cancel on me with no explanation. Worst towing company on the planet 🌍🌍🌍🌍

Thanks to Graham who helped get me situated when I was upset waiting on another towing company for hours. Graham set me up with a truck who arrived in minutes.Thanks to Josh who took great care of my car while taking it to the dealership and made me feel better about the issue with my car. It was definitely a challenge getting towed from a parking garage onto a flatbed truck, but Josh did it with ease and I was totally confident in his capability to do so.I also really appreciated the communication from this team that I had not been getting from the other towing company!

Jacob was my driver the other night towing my BMWhe was so friendly and professional.He contacted me when he was otw and asked me questions about what was going on with my vehicle. He then told me the time it would take him to get to my location. He arrived on time and loaded my car quickly and got me to the dealership before they closed. Had the pleasure of working with this company today through my insurance. I blew a tire last night and had to pull into a church parking lot and it was cold and dark and Mason called me to let me know he was on the way. Well, 1 Star from me because I cant give 0! Verizon Roadside contracted these guys, but I talked to them personally twice and was assured (promised by Graham) that they wouldnt forget about us. My son and friend were stranded, and had already waited way past the range of time we were given (it is now 12:15ishAM EST). I finally get a call back from Graham and suddenly he couldnt send anyone out that late. Excuse me, you took the job, youre LATE already, you talked to me TWICE, then call to say you arent coming! I wish I had seen these reviews before I let this happen! We did find someone though! Dont give up hope people, there are a few honest people left in this world!

I have used this company for several years & have not once had a single problem! I think it is sad that people make up stories about good companies, just to get a discount or refund. It is a shame the extent people go through, over money. While I know not every tow service is perfect, A&R Towing has always displayed Professional, Timely and Quality service every single time! This is the worst company in Charlotte. I was having my jeep towed it has 35 tires no biggie for a jeep. Well it in the shop and I needed it towed out of the shop. Once again no biggie. So I use my road side assistance and they send me to this company. Once again no problem so far. Well after 2 hours of not seeing my vehicle which I was originally quoted 1-2 hours in wondering whats going on. I finally get a call from the tow truck driver really cool guy only problem is hes the only truck driver in my area that can service me. I had originally requested a flat tow truck not a pull behind. My road side assistance said thats not a problem what so ever. So after 3 hours the dispatch lady calls me with a huge attitude. Saying how I didnt tell them it had big tires or was lifted. lol first off lady it can be on a flat truck since I had it towed last week by a much better tow service. Two things that arent a problem for a flat bed tow truck. So I ask what kind of tow truck do yall have her response a regular tow truck. Great answer lady. Then she keeps saying to someone here hold on Im on the phone. Like rude to who ever that is. She then tells me its gonna be another hour. This would have been avoided if the right tow truck was sent. Dont use A&R towing. The drive was super nice though not his fault what so ever the dispatcher you shouldnt have any sort of contact with customers if you expect to keep any kind of customers. Oh and if I cancel my tow because of the way you treat me and you give me more attitude you earn yourself a horrible review.

We were told at 4:00pm today that our tow truck would arrive by 5:15pm at the latest. He never arrived. We got told he had to go to Shelby first, to Charlotte first, here, there, and everywhere. We called them back at 9:00 wondering if there was an update. The lady said she would have the tow truck driver contact us because we were next. Nobody has contacted us and now we keep trying to call back and they keep picking up the phone and hanging up on us. Weve been waiting on a tow truck for SIX PLUS HOURS NOW. this is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever encountered in my life. This is supposed to be an emergency service and yet theyre sitting there hanging up the phone as we are trying to get answers! I most definitely 100000% highly do NOT EVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. EVER. This business needs to be drilled straight into the ground. I pray nobody ever uses their services for anything and has to go through what My family is experiencing right now. Highly disappointed and will be contacting the BBB.

They were VERY prompt and helpful. 5 different tow companies refused to tow my car, for safety reasons. David called me and reassured my car would be safely towed to the BMW shop. They had equipment that Ive never seen before in any other tow company. David even sent me pictures (because I was at work) to reassure me that my car was not damaged and safely placed on his truck! Needless to say, my car arrived safe and damage free!!!Thanks David for all your hard work and help!

This company gave the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. They had me sitting on the side of the highway for 90 min in the middle of the night, then put me on hold for 20 min, only to cancel the order AFTER the time quoted. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

I needed a tow and called AAA of which I am a member. They were so busy that it was going to be at least 30 minutes before I could even talk to an agent. I then called the dealer and asked who they used. They gave me A N Rs contact info. I spoke to Jody who told me it would be an hour till they could get someone there and the tow truck driver would call me when he was on his way. An hour later the driver called and said he was 8 minutes away. He, Dave, loaded my car and took me and my car to the dealer, an hour and 20 minutes from when I initially called, which I was very satisfied with. Jody and Dave were both friendly and courteous and after my car breaking down I appreciated that.

This is horrible towing company. First they told me towing waiting time is 60 min . So I wait 60 min in busy interstate and 100 F temperature outside . Then after 60 min no one came .call again A & R they told me 60 more min . Ok I still wait because I need to fix my truck. After 60 min no one came then call again A& R still they give me 60 more min . Because they shortage on equipment to tow . And by the way the guy on customer service end is very very unprofessional . So please don’t call this company it’s waste of time .

I am writing this review in hopes of saving the next customer time and aggravation. I will be brief and to the point...i wish i had read the reviews prior, its now been 3.5 hrs and still no tow truck. If A&R towing had a shred of decency they would have simply been up front after i called 1, 2 and the 3hrs after the original 60 mins window had past. They literally strung me along when they could have just informed me that they were shorthanded or whatever excuse they spun as i received a different excise each time. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIND A DIFFERENT TOWING COMPANY, 4 hrs now and no truck on scene.

The truck that was supposed to pick up my car and take it to the service center broke down. Do you think anyone bothered to call with an update or a solution? Nope. I only knew what happened because I called for an update. If theyre in business this time next year Ill be shocked and disgusted.**Theyre getting one star from me because I cant give them zero.

Horrible Service. Then the Dispatcher lied to us saying the driver was late 1 1/2 due to an accident. Meanwhile the driver called us and told us he was going to be late because he was somewhere else. Then they tried to charge us for a winch service when all they did was back up to the car and pull it up on the the flat bed of the wrecker. Totally Not happy with this company. Late and lied to.

We recently had our motorcycle towed following a roadside breakdown. The driver contacted us twice with ETA updates. When he arrived he was very professional and made extra effort to insure that my bike was well secured to the tow vehicle. During the trip to my house the driver took care to drive very carefully and helped me move the bike into the garage after removing from the bed of the truck.

My technician Andrew was courteous, efficient, and friendly. He quickly worked through difficult circumstances and got the job done. Would highly recommend him if you need service.

Towing company was chosen by our insurance company. When we called to find our when to expect the tow- Audrey advised 90 min. Ok -fine - 90 min it is. So 90 min turns into almost 120 min - we call back. Instead of help; we received attitude and cursing We contacted our insurance company to advise of the attitude. At one pointwe asked for a supervisor and we received more attitude. Due to the lack of service by A&R; our insurance cancelled the tow request from A&R. DO NOT USE A&R TOWING

Absolutely worst towing company ever. Gave them the exact mile marker of my vehicle said they sent 3 trucks and couldnt find it. Called back the second day said they were sending someone out after rush hour. Never called me back to tell me they were cancelling my towing.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER. I have called this company 7 timed with the last 3 hrs. The were recommended by Progressive insurance which I thought was good. But I been sitting in my car waiting for the A&R Towing for 3hrs. Then when somebody came they didn’t have the right tools. Now I’m still waiting and it’s been 45mins already. Really don’t deserve a star period.

Our insurance company told us this company was coming. We are broken down in Rockwell. No where near Charlotte. We have waited a hour for them to cancel so now we are sitting ducks. Terrible communication between them. Do not recommend at all!!

I booked these guys via OnStar at 11:00 AM. They estimated that theyd be there around 12:30. at 1:15, I called A&R and was given a 1 hour estimate. Called again at 2:55 and was given a 45 minute estimate. Called OnStar at 4:00 and they contacted A&R. A&R gave them a story about heavy wind and rain. There was a mild breeze and a bluebird sky. They finally told OnStar that they were on the other side of town and werent going to come pick me up, so I booked with another company.

This is the best tow company in charlotte . Abbie is the best she made sure the driver got out to me quickly !! i will be calling them in the future for sure !! i dont see how anyone could ever give a negative review for this place Thank you A&R !!

The worst liars and unprofessional towing company ever. I was told my car was going to be picked up at 4:25pm and when I called at 5:00pm because my car was NOT picked up they said they are busy and it would be another hour and they promised by 6pm. I called at 845pm to get a status because they were gonna call me when they picked it up and they told me that they are still busy and that my car was not a priority because there was no one waiting with the car and I specifically told them that my car had valuables inside and I had left the keys with the car. Its 9:15 and my car is still not picked up if I could give them no star rating I would or a negative I hope this company learns from their mistakes because Im a business owner and this is no way to treat customers they will go out of business very soon theres no way a company with this customer service will last I hope the owners will read this review and call me for advice on how a business is supposed to be ran because I truly hope that this company can actually learn something because whoever is running this place needs to do a better job and ask God for wisdom. definitely a big fat F- for your services. i Urge no one to ever use this company if they want to have a good experience.

I do not recommend this company at all. I called to get an Uncles truck towed, they said it would take an hour to reach him. It took the driver almost three hours to reach my uncle. I do not recommend this company and I sure wont be using them again.

Yesterday I used this company through my insurance and while I waited I made the mistake as I typically do of reading the reviews listed.. This made an already stressful situation more so but when the tow driver came to the rescue he was pleasant, willing to change locations from my original request which was a difference of 10 miles and gave no complaints or signs of irritation. He made what turned out to be a horrible morning trying to get to work an easy transaction removing my car from the middle of the lane on the 485 ramp to Old Statesville Rd and safely to the shop. Unfortunately I didnt catch his name but he was great.

If I had a choice of leaving my vehicle and walk or have A&R towing to tow my vehicle, I would be walking. This is the worst company. I called to have a vehicle towed and did the distance myself. There were 3 routes, one was 8 miles, one 10 miles and one 21 miles. The driver said his system said he had to take the 21 mile one and call the office and spoke with Patricia. I got on the phone with her and straight attitude from the get go and said inhale to pay $25 or it wouldnt be towed. But I had towing included. in my phone plan that covers up to 10 miles. Ahhhhh....Patricia you got the right one on the phone today, because I can get a straight attitude right back with you. Well I paid it because I had to have it towed, but I assure you that it will be handled by my phone company and will be refunded, because you are price gauging. God dont like ugly.

After reading the reviews of this company I was skeptical at first. The tow truck came within the 90min time given by the insurance company. The driver Don was experienced at his job and task my vehicle was loaded and unloaded with no problems.

The absolute worse towing experience I have ever had. They were called to get my vehicle at 11:30 am est from I85N exit 38. After several hours they indicated they were in route to me. After numerous calls to the dispatch and drivers no one ever showed, claiming they could not locate me. They are terrible!

We called our roadside service provider which assigned A and R towing to our tow. After 75 mins passed and they had not showed up we called back and I spoke to a ratchet excuse for a woman named Patrica said they had to cancel the tow due to not being able to pick up a 15 passenger van. We do not own a 15 passenger van, the tow was for a S-10 pick up truck. A and R did not bother to call us to inform us of the tow cancellation. Then after me calling her out on her not doing her job she tried to say they tried to come but the roads were blocked. The tow was off providence road in charlotte which has several access roads and what her lying self didnt know is that a wheelchair basketball practice had just let out and they were all able to leave just fine. Meanwhile my paraplegic father is still sitting in the parking lot for a tow. Patrica when called on her BS and lies refused to give me the phone number for the company and when I threatened to report them she said I couldnt do anything and hanged the phone up. When I called the roadside service back to order a separate tow for my father A and R towing are still listed active. This company is a joke and PATRICA needs to get a job out of customer service and learn you can be reported to several organizations for their neglectful actions and crummy service.... oh and that you can find out information for any company, hence how I am able to write this post. Maybe this companys owners have more class and will reach out to out wheelchair sports program and apologize personally.

So lets think about this, it is 2016 and 99.9% of companies take credit cards. Upon having my car booted by them after parking in a reserved spot I HAD permission to be in (at Arcadia Student Living) by the owner of the spot they still wanted to promptly charge me $75. Now pay close attention here, they demanded cash, after telling them I only carry a credit card/Apple pay they refused for 30 minutes to release my car. After sitting there for an hour the owner of ART came out with there credit card machine. While not as rude as other people have said, I cant help but wonder why when you can practically get card readers for iPhones for free they dont have them. After seeing finding out about tons of other cases like mine I cannot help but think they are simply pocketing the cash and not reporting it as income to avoid tax.

Mark the tow truck drive called and said he was just dispatched 20 min ago and is 45 min away. This conversation took place 1 hour after Patricia said they would be there in one hour. Came quickly, price of towing was reasonable, and I asked the gentlemen to pull my car in my driveway a specific way and he did! The dispatcher was really nice woman too. My experience was a good one. Especially after 2 towers wanted to charge me 120 then harass me with text messages after I hung up😠. I def tipped the tow guy, cause he came thru and on a better budget.

Driver was very professional and knowledgeable. She was a blessing!!

Fastest tow company ive ever had 45 minutes and my vehicle was dropped off and i made my appointment great job a&r !!

These people are garbage. They have no sense of time if they say one hour it will be 3 hours or they may not show up at all. Beware dealing with them i would rate a 0 star if i could

Dude booted my car while parked in the same spot I was booted for being in. On top of that, had a check ready to give, they don’t accept checks. Asked for a ride to the atm (I have proof this same company has done this for my GFs roomate) & he “called his manager” who refused the request. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Do not call this company if you are on the side of the road! They gave me an estimate of when they would arrive and I did not get a call from the driver until two hours after the estimated arrival time only to be told it would be another hour before he would get there..Update: THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!!!

I had a new vehicle towed by GM roadside assistance. They showed up and told my wife they needed a credit card to move. She gave them out card. I called to see how things were progressing and she said it was hooked and they charged my card. I immediately told GM to call and correct - which they did.HOWEVER - they still charged my card. Then they said it would take one to two weeks to get a refund. Then I sent several emails requesting a receipt for the refund and they ignored my emails. When I called they were rude and offensive. I was told the woman who did billing was out, then she broke her foot.Finally she wrote back and said they never charged my card, then she wrote and said they charged it but I had to go to my insurance company to settle. I reminded them that they said they would refund the $. They even sent me a copy of the invoice they sent to GM roadside. So they are charging both parties for the same tow.They are rude, unprofessional and thiefs!!!They charged GM $225 to tow the car locally. I have had plenty of tows that are usually around 50$ to 75$ for the same service.Crooks!!! You have been warned!!!!

Was in a big hurry to get somewhere, zig zagging through traffic. Came in my lane and I had to swerve to keep from getting hit. Confronted him about it, had the worst attitude. This,is why there ratting is so low. Find a nicer towing co.

. Do not do business with these people. I have to take them to court to get my car fixed and paid for.On 8/31/2016 A & R towing ripped the back bumper almost all the way across while towing my vehicle from the back with the truck wire used to tow the car. The driver looked like a teenager and did not know what he was doing. When I showed him that he was damaging my car, he asked do I want him to stop. I said yes. He and his company declined to give me a receipt for the tow and give insurance information to have my car fixed. I called the office and I was told they would not give me any information and they would not pay for the damage.
