I have been taking martial arts here since October 2020 and I have to say Mr and Mrs Dyson are very skilled and knowledgeable when it comes to martial arts. Also they know how to have fun and help with little ones coming in whether it is your first time or you have taken martial arts before you will definitely have a blast like I do everytime I come to class. 🥋🥋❤

Strong family values! Always includes family members in activities, even the ones that try to hide on the chairs with heads glued to the phone. Whole family signed up... 2 adults, 9 year old and 6 year old. 5 months in and the family is still totally into it... and I put that all down to the amazingly talented and friendly team. I’m so grateful for UpLevel Martial Arts! They are so much more than karate- although their skills are amazing! UpLevel Martial Arts McAlpine is an AMAZING School! Mrs. Dyson and Mr.Biller are fantastic Martial Artists as well as instructors! Becoming students of UpLevel Mcalpine has been one of the best decisions weve made for my kids and family. Mr. Biller and Mrs. Dyson are great role models for my 2 young children and have taught them much more than martial arts - discipline, respect, integrity, and much more. Thank you Mr. Biller and Mrs. Dyson, we can tell that you both truly care and love what you do!

My daughter was so excited to try and get into karate. We met with Ms. Dyson and all was fine, we bought a year family membership for over 2 grand. We started classes, which were 45 mins. In all reality they practiced karate for about 15-20 mins. You spend the last 15 mins of class talking about life skills, which includes integrity and honesty( which is a complete joke, since they have stole over 2 grand from us)One week we went there for class and the electricity was cut off, it was in late February or early March, they had class outside. Hmmmm...All in all my daughter lost interest because classes lack any type of organization for kids her age ( she was 4 at the time) she wanted to stop going. So after we pay them all this money, the only way they communicate is via text. I asked for a refund several times and my text was ignored. I’m pretty sure that $2500 worth or teaching was not done at this facility by anyone. We didn’t expect a full refund, because she did take a couple classes.Initially Ms. Dyson talked with my husband and said she would talk to her supervisor and get us a partial refund. Then we were sideswiped by Mr. Dyson who abruptly canceled our membership and stole our money, only later to say that he wasn’t going to cancel the membership, but we can transfer it. Not giving a little girl her money back, is just wrong. This is not the “black belt” way of life, unless you consider thieving and underpromisong things to children a “black belt” way of life. I guess UpLevel also considers keeping money that you have not legitimately earned is part of the “ black belt” way of life. Kids change their mind all the time at this age and should not be punished for it.Not only that but, being so excited about being able to get a black belt, which is the intent here, and it’s a good one. Low and behold Mr. and Mrs. Dyson crush that dream, by saying its going to be a couple grand extra on top of what you already paid to make that happen.Beware of going here. They will take your money, and then turn around and be hippocrates about their “ black belt” way of life.
