Atrocious, unethical, and miserably managed. The technician they sent out to do the initial install completely trashed my house, and while he was local, it still took 9 months to finally settle my claim after the damage they had done. The internet service was borderline unusable. Consistent, persistent outages, never at the speeds I paid for, and horribly over priced. They will threaten and try to coerce you into keeping their services when you try to disconnect, including making it as difficult as possible. It takes multiple phone calls and untold hours of waiting to try and get this company out of your life.Im begging you for your own financial, emotional, and physical well being, do NOT use this company for your internet or phone services. Shop it out, there are other, incredibly better solutions. Stay away from Windstream at all costs!

Wish I could give 0 stars Horrific customer serviceBusiness line down for 3 days the third day was the fastest they could get out. Was told the original installer was “new and did something wrong” by a local area manager. Was promised it get fixed. It’s now day 3 Well no one showed up and it was “fixed remotely” still didn’t work. Called in and now it was “past business hours” 1 min after getting an email saying. It was fixed.Was Sent to technical support Outsourced to another country. Can’t under stand what they’re saying. Weren’t able to fix it. Requested to speak to supervisor and he hung up on me. No call back still without WiFi on a building I run two businesses out of. Loosing thousands a day and they “understand your frustration and are very sorry”Windstream can kick rocks You better pray your business doesn’t depend on these people still without internet now

We moved into our house august 2020 and have had the most issues with this internet. It goes out for hours and multiple times a day. With the pandemic making jobs work from home, I hope you guys realize you are putting peoples jobs at risk. Not only can work not get done but lines get disconnected and then with it being down for hours there’s no way to call customers back. This company is worse than AT&T and they were junk! I’m shopping around for other options! Outages outages outages and they hang up on you constantly, oh not to mention the call center is in foreign places and always have a hard time talking and understanding you. I’m serious SHOP AROUND! Wind stream is not the right internet provider!

Here we are again, another incident - they finally canceled my service on Dec 23rd and gave me my refund BUT now it has been almost a month ( and three call ins later ) and I still have not received my padded envelope for my modem to return it. Theyre trying to charge me for this modem but have not sent it out, instead they insist theyve sent the return materials.I would recommend avoiding this company because when you go to cancel it is just one nightmare after the next.

I wish I didnt even have to give them one star to leave a review, because they deserve 0 stars. Even despite being away from Windstream for over a year now (Ive been using Spectrum for the past year and a half), Windstream STILL finds ways to bother me. Tonight I had a Windstream representative trespass and solicit in the private residential community I live in. I would NEVER go back to Windstream; their speeds never run anywhere near whats advertised (was always getting around 1/10th of what I was paying for - sometimes even less)!!!

This is the worst internet provider you can get go somewhere else dont even bother with this company ever! you will get the worst service in history and also all they do to fix the problem is a reboot to your router which solves the problem long enough for you to get off the phone with them they dont even have good enough service to simple do internet browsing it cuts out constantly over at least 100+ times a day and i live in the charlotte area where i shouldnt get any service interruptions

I wish I could leave a 0-star review but I cannot.Things started great with this company but then I switched because of pricing differences.I have not used their service since December 4th 2019 but they refuse to cancel my account until December 23rd 2019 but here I am on December 24th 2019 and still showing as a customer with internet service.I have called 4 times and they keep assuring me my account is scheduled to be turned off on December 23rd 2019 and I will be prorated the difference but that does not seem to be the case.Their price for their speed may be enticing but I HIGHLY recommend you avoid them at all costs as their support when you attempt to terminate service is less than desirable and very time consuming as I am still trying to get them to cancel my account and retrieve their equipment.

Worst internet provider, use deceptive marketing, they promise you to match Time Warner cable price (on their recorded line) then keep sending you full price bill, very hard to reach customer service, it takes minimum 30 minutes before someone answers, then they keep forwarding you to other persons..... I do not recommend this company AT ALL.

I have been waiting for a month (since 8/16/2019) to get internet set up at my house. It keeps getting postponed and I understand they had to do a drop at my location (which they have damaged my drive way doing) I call and ask how to resolve my situation how to get my internet FINALLY installed and how to put a report in to get my drive way repaired and no one working there that I speak to knows who I should talk to or what I should do next to get this resolved. I am sure that management there would be unhappy if they had to wait for a company to install internet at their homes for OVER A MONTH! I have had a few different internet providers and none took over a week.

Worst service ever. We switched from Time Warner due to unreliable service from them. After 2 months I wish we would have just stayed with that bad company. The service people are extremely rude and the internet fails at least 4 times a day. My husband and I work from home so we need something reliable not this garbage.

The ABSOLUTE worst customer service I have had ANYWHERE! The service itself is mediocre at best. If you have a choice, run to another company! I sincerely have no idea how in the world anyone would actually choose this company over another. If I had to move to an area that only had Windstream as a provider, I would opt out of moving there and continue to find other residence. IT IS THAT BAD.

Run away. I just switched to this company a month ago from TWC (Spectrum) due to TWC internet being unrealiable. This company has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. They changed my install appointment twice without notifying me, when I called to see where the tech was they informed me that the tech came an hour before my scheduled time and left because no one was home. Do these ppl think we are home at 11am on a Tuesday? Running back to TWC at least their ppl show up during the time they are scheduled.

Its so sad that a business would treat customers so very poorly! We have had windstream for over 4 years for internet and pay over $100 a month for the fastest package they offer....we have NEVER had decent service! I repeat....in 4 years of paying this much money a month we have never had good service! Our internet stops working at least 4 times a day and we have to unplug and trouble shoot everyday to get back up. We call multiple times a month to ask Windstream to help (we live in a big neighborhood and we are the only users of Windstream within 5 blocks of houses!)! Windstream always charges us for a tech to come out and troubleshoot the problem and its never fixed! Today I am finally fed up and canceling them!!! We have decided to go with time warner/spectrum as our neighbors are more than satisfied with their spectrum service!Upon calling windstream today and trying to cancel service they said I was not on the initial set up/account and they could not help me!BE WARNED CONSUMERS!!!!! Windstream is a horrible company and you will pay out the wazoo for bad service!!!!! Buyer beware!!!!!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I tried to upgrade my Internet Service. I was set for an installation date and requested, twice, for the installation technician to come by in the afternoon of my installation date as I could not get off of work until 12:00. I come home at 12:00 on my installation date, wait and wait and wait and wait. At 5:30 I finally contact Windstream and was told that the technician had been by in the morning and stated that no one was at home so he left and the best they could do was offer for another tech to come out........a week later. I never received a call, as their email stated I would, from the tech stating they were on their way to my residence. There was no door placard stating they had been by. NOTHING to keep me from wasting my time waiting around on them, even after my request telling them that no one would be home until after 12. This company is absolutely terrible and their customer service is woeful.
