Can’t say enough about Fun Outdoor Living. Highly recommend! Our previously unusable backyard has now become our favorite spot to be thanks to Andre, Oscar and team. Andre worked with us through several iterations of plans looking to maximize the views while dealing with a number of challenges including steep inclines & minimal access. He provided a number of options and would offer up suggestions to make things that we wanted more economical or better alternatives to achieve the same end goal. Oscar, John and Oscar Jr. completed the work quickly and left the area tidy each night. Andre was accessible and flexible - meeting with us on the weekends and evenings. Hot tub arrives in July.

Overall FOL did a great job. The quality of the work and the finished product is amazing. The workers on-site delivered perfection. I would rate the work a 5 out of 5. Communication and coordination can definitely improve as I often did not know where things stood or when workers were showing up. I found this to be frustrating. At times, I seemed to be the person connecting the dots for the workers showing up. I would rate this a 3 out of 5. But the final result is exactly what I wanted. I do not have a single punch list item outstanding. Anything I was unhappy about got quickly resolved and exceeded my expectations. If you want a high quality product, delivered by quality workers AND can deal with some minor frustrations around communication and coordination...this is the place to call.

Unprofessional and bad customer service. It took more than week to be scheduled for an onsite evaluation. We had an appointment with Adam this past Thursday at 5pm. He called me on Thursday around 2pm to let me know that he may be late for our appointment. He said he would call me back in about 1.5 hours. He never called or showed up.Days later I still have no phone call or follow up from the company.

Ordered a Hot Springs Grandee back in Oct. John DiFiore explained that due to covid there would be manufacturing delays and it may take 6 months for delivery. True to his word our tub was ready and delivered in April. A few weeks after install there was a minor issue with one of the electrical connections, their in-house repair person came out quickly and got it fixed in a few minutes. When youre spending that much money on anything you want a top product and top service, and Fun Outdoor Living is able to produce both. Dont waste your time going anywhere else!

We had a patio, gazebo and hot tub designed and installed by these folks. Everyone we worked with was very professional and easy to work with. The company couldnt be more informative about time lines given all the delays due to covid. The gazebo was just what we were looking for and the hot tub has been great. All of their workers were considerate of our house and yard and cleaned up everyday and made sure nothing was left disturbed. Adam was our salesman on the project and he kept us informed every step of the way. If you are looking for backyard work, these are the ones you want to consider.

So once we decided on what we would like, we talked to the folks at Fun Outdoor Living, Our designer was Adam Kruse, he did an outstanding job of making sure we would be happy with not only design but patio colors and landscaping. There was a bit of a wait but once they got started it was completed in no time at all. Adam made several trips to our home before, during and after, he did an excellent job answering my text and always in a timely manner. The inner ceiling of our pergola was contracted to another company and they were really wonderful to work with as well, they even hung our ceiling fans for us (including putting them together). Bottom line here is I would use FOL again, and I do recommend them, but be patient, dont be in a hurry. The finish product will be worth the wait.

HiWe purchased a Hot Spring Jetsetter hot tub from Ken at Fun Outdoor Living the end of 2019. Well are very happy and pleased with the delivery the support and the Jetsetter tub! Ken took the time to come to our home and explain how to use and care for it once it was delivered. Amazing guy and great knowledge and support. Its the perfect size for us and it massages relieves tension and it is easy to use. It is hassle free maintenance. We love it!!

Quality of contracted work was fantastic! Built exactly what I wanted with fireplace and patio. Was a bit slow but that’s because the demand for construction far exceeds the amount of workers currently.

While others companies had a long wait time for a hot tub we were able to secure one for our mountain house in a fraction of the time from Outdoor Living!

I love this place. 4 years ago I went there looking for a hot tube. I found the one I wanted and made plans to have it delivered. During several conversations I decided to put pavers on my bottom deck. I also decided to put an overhead ceiling with lights and ceiling fans. Now I have the use of both areas, one as a sun deck and the bottom deck as shaded area. During this time Outdoor Living made all the arraignments on who was best to do the project and quardinated the whole process. They knew the best companies and put it all together. I requested quote for our backyard patio need through website. I got a call with in 10 min to schedule appointment where one of the associate was going to come and talk to us about our need. Associate called 1 day before appointment in evening and asked about our need and provided the quote directly on phone without looking at our property and our need in detail. Disappointed with the overall service and the way they handled customer. I understand our budget may be less but they should provide options and what works to customize based on our need. Will not recommend them if you have budget less than 12 to 15k.

FOL Did a great job on our backyard project which included Patio, Outdoor Kitchen, Firepit, and Pergola and Screened Porch. Overall I would recommend them, and would use them again for any further additions. We initially met with 5 different companies and landed on FOL after my initial meet with Andrey Fleyshman. Some further details around the specific aspects of our projects.Biggest takeaway is quality work, open communication, and responsiveness to any questions, problems or concerns I had along the way. Details and specific thanks below.1) Pergola: Zane and his team did outstanding work on my pergola. Outside of what was done in terms of the pergola, Zane took the time to give me a few recommendations in terms of sealing it.(not in the original plan) and also helped setup cedar as a crossboard for stability cut into the Hardiboard so that I could safely mount an outdoor tv - Thanks Zane2) Patio, Firepit and ODK. Patio and Firepit team did a great job as well.The Outdoor Kitchen team was also fantastic. Matt who was leading the efforts saw a few opportunities to optimize the look based on the original design, and came up with some immediate solutions (making the ODK fully adjacent to the house so that it looked connected from the original build, vs being a floating ODK that just sat next to the house. Overall the time Matt spent talking through the options with me, and then taking it upon himself to make my original thoughts better was greatly appreciated - Thanks Matt3) Permits and paperwork. Davis (who was our primary PM) was on top of all of the paperwork and permits. This of course didnt come w/o hiccups, but FOL submitted detaled paperwork to my HoA on behalf of me, so even took that part out of my hands. There were logistical hiccups with the folks doing inspections (hiccups on Waxhas permit inspection side around when, and what they were to be inspecting), but once again, FOL handled everything with them directly and immediately. I never expect things to go flawlessly, but it was a great sign to see FOL, explain what was going on to me, and then just handle it - Thanks Davis4) The one main pain piont for me was during some of the work, there was more disturbance to the lawn than I expected and more than I found acceptable. So I voiced my observations and concern to Davis and Andrey, and within a day they had folks come back out and address them. The amt of rain that we received made this more challenging - Thanks Davis and Andrey

From personal consultation with Andrey at our home, to plans, suggestions on design and materials, to permits and subcontractors they do it all! They were flexible, accessible, transparent in communication and delivered what they said they would on time and for the cost discussed. We love our new space!

We had a wonderful experience with Fun Outdoor Living. It started with our appointment with Andrey to discuss what we were thinking of, the plants we liked and what we were trying to achieve. He sat down with his lap top and created the landscaping and patio design. Before he left we had a plan. Melissa submitted all the paperwork needed for our HOA and we were approved in a week. Once approved it was only a few weeks before they came and finished the job in a day and a half. What’s really important about using them is that they have their own crew. Some of them have worked with them for 7+ years. The job is not getting subcontracted out, which I hear happens a lot with other landscapers. Andrey came out the day of the job and called me after to see if I was happy with the work:)They also plant high quality plants. We’re enjoying our homes a lot more these days, make sure you enjoy the outdoors too.

I have dealt with Fun Outdoor Living for 2 months to purchase a hot tub. I accepted an offer to deliver a Vanguard Hot Springs tub the week of November 2nd. The employees later told me they sold the unit I was interested in purchasing. We accepted the price of $15,200 and never heard from them again. When I complained to Andre, the owner, I was basically given a big FU and told I’d have to wait until at least February. Lesson learned. This company is unreliable with respect to promises made. Very braggadocious regarding their reputation and how 1 customer’s experience will not impact their business. I would like to think they’re wrong. Reconsider your purchase. Do your research. Look for alternatives to Fun Outdoor Living.In response to Fun Outdoor Living’s rebuttal below, please note that the salesperson involved was a defendant in a lawsuit. It is my contention that my wife and I have been treated rudely by the owner and staff based on the ill will of the salesperson towards us. I was involved in prosecuting that case to judgment.If a potential customer wants to hear the whole story, Google me. I’m easy to find. I bought a hot tub from another dealer the same day the owner of this store was so rude and so untruthful. I looked at many options before purchasing a Hot Springs hot tub. Katie Williams at Fun Outdoor Living was extremely helpful. Katie knew more about her products and her competitors than any other sales person I interacted with. I was much more confident buying from her. They were also very patient with me when I had construction delays on the patio and had to delay delivery of the tub.

Our experience with FOL was far superior than anyone else weve worked with in Charlotte. We had a whole outdoor space designed and constructed with two patios, retaining wall and landscaping. We were interested in purchasing some of the expensive poly patio furniture. We first arrived and were greeted by a lady, but we just wanted to look around so she left the store. When we were finally ready to ask question and make a purchase we realized that the two guys working there could not have cared less about our potential purchase, as they were playing video games (Mario Kart to be exact) over by the hot tubs. They have a whole area set up. We’re going to purchase from elsewhere, that doesn’t specialize in video games.Update: To his response, once the lady left, there was no one in the store remotely interested in talking to us. The only people visible were the ones playing video games.I apologize that we wanted to look around without being harassed right away. If you don’t want to have to deal with guest taking their time in your showroom, perhaps you just shouldn’t have a showroom.Also, rather than taking time to argue with reviews online, you could actually employ all of those people your claiming were there to help us.But don’t worry, we won’t be back, backyard places like yours are a dime a dozen.

I worked with Adam on a patio, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit build and worked with Ken on a hot tub purchase. They were both great and genuinely wanted to help complete my project. These guys are true professionals! Be patient on scheduling and plan ahead, Rome wasnt built in a day and neither is your back yard oasis...but you will NOT be disappointed with the end result.

The crew at Fun Outdoor Living are phenomenal. We have had them build us 2 different patios now. We first had them build a patio to put the hot tub we purchased from them on. In May 2018, as we closed on our new home, we needed a new hot tub with therapeutic jets, Mike OBrien and Julia were very understanding to our specific needs and presented us the tubs that would specifically address our needs. Purchased a Sycamore Hot tub for my wife for Christmas from Fun Outdoor Living. 4th hot tub we have ever owned and so far one of the best. Highly recommend the Sycamore. Ken Hormel helped with the selection and answered our concerns as we wanted it for hydro therapy & relaxation. Ken and his delivery crew were great with delivery and leveling the tub and coordinating with my electrician for set up. Ken himself came out to balance the water. Enjoying our 3rd month of use and are happy with our purchase.

FOL installed a custom patio and firepit in my backyard last month. Andrey F. worked with us to incorporate our ideas and wishes into the design, while also making sure we eliminated some pitfalls that other companies did not bring up when we received their quotes. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and was able to give us options and alternative products to help us stay within our budget. We love our finished patio, and thankful we waited to get additional quotes (theirs), as we got more for our money than we were looking at with two other companies. The patio was completed ahead of schedule and the crew did a great job with clean up. I will only be recommending and using FOL for patio work.

Very poor service. Dont but a Hot Springs Spa here unless you want the sales people telling you are stupid about water chemistry. Very tiring when after 2 different services calls you tell them again and again with the issue with their fresh water system and they tell you you dont understand. I made a mistake and now hate my spa. My water smells so bad my grand kids wont get in the spa

Our new Paver Stone Patio is perfect! It’s the ideal space to entertain our guests and we love enjoying the fire pit during the evenings. Adam and the Fun Outdoor Living crew made it easy for us. Awesome company to work with, We bought a very nice Hot Springs tub and they were willing to hold it in storage with for 2 months until our new home was ready. My wife and I worked with Andrey with Fun Outdoor Living - I cant say enough great things about this fellow!! Bottom line - friendly, creative designer, highest integrity, thoughtful, punctual, manages expectations exceptionally well, hard worker and tremendous organizer. We contracted with FOL for a multi-month project which included a new deck, sun room, retaining walls, patios, outdoor kitchen, outdoor fire-pit, outdoor fireplace, pergolas, paver driveway, swim-spa, irrigation system, stone walkways, landscaping, landscape lighting and sod. Andrey Fleishman, our designer, point person and project manager, made a huge project a joy. He is a high contact, friendly, professional, design genius, and visionary that lives up to the company name, truly creating Fun Outdoor Living. From design concept, through planning and execution, Andrey maintained a keen focus on customer service and superior end product, and all well within budget! The time he took sketching ideas on graph paper, discussing minute details, helping decide on models, options, colors, etc., and managing all the subs, went beyond my expectations. With a project this size, there will inevitably be scope creep and change requests - these too - were handled in an exceptional manner. Many companies will not accept change orders; FOL welcomed the changes and additions, which ultimately led to a grander end product. I feel that Andrey, the subs he chose, the materials that were used, the customized design, the end result and the price - were all 5 star. At this point, my wife and I are trying to imagine other outdoor projects, just so we can continue working with Andrey and FOL. I would HIGHLY recommend using this company from the simple (just a spa) to the ultra complex (a 2,000 sq ft outdoor oasis); I would HIGHLY recommend speaking to Andrey, before you decide on going with anyone else - you will not regret it.

We happened upon a spa sale on the corner and met the nicest, knowledgable representative who directed us to the showroom as we were looking for a Swimspa...the team there from Andrey, and even Sharon and Chris on service are attentive, committed to making sure you are happy with their product.

Hot tub was installed and delivered in a timely manner. Reasonable pricing for high quality product. I would recommend outdoor living for a variety of your outdoor needs.

With our newly purchased home not having much of a backyard at all due to a steep and immediate drop off we were in serious need of a retaining wall and fence to go along with it. FOL were not only helpful and efficient in making that happen, taking care of the permits and correspondence with our HOA, but also referred us to other reputable local service providers (e.g. landscapers) to truly complete the project and also help us out with smaller non-related household projects as we were new to the area. We now have a backyard! And are looking forward to having FOL help us put in a new patio there…

Ken Hormel was great to work with! He was very patient with our questions and went out of the way to help us every chance he got during the purchase and after the purchase.

My experience with FOL has been great. There were a few small bumps in the road but nothing major. They installed 691 sq ft of pavers for us and did a great job. I didnt like that polymeric sand wasnt included in my service because the price wasnt cheap! So I asked Andre why that was and he explained why, which I accepted his explanation.However, Andre has ALWAYS taken or returned my calls regarding questions about my pergola (and hot tub that I purchased from another company before I learned of FOL). He even delivered our hot tub from storage to our home (for a fee of course) and referred us to an excellent inexpensive electrician to run the line!!! Can you find a company cheaper than FOL on some things, sure you can. But Ive learned over the years that cheaper isnt always better. Andre is very knowledgeable in this space and he provides great customer service and support, which was VERY IMPORTANT TO US.So in closing, although I couldnt afford to have them build my pergola and plant my privacy trees, I would highly recommend FOL if your budget is bigger than mine, lol.

I am a first time Hot Tub buyer and visited the Fun Outdoor Living Store in Pineville. I met Ken Hormel and he patiently explained the ABCs of Hot Tubs and shared with me everything I needed to consider and know before I made my first purchase. I visited the showroom in Pineville many times and each time Ken worked with me and responded to all of my questions. Ken even took the time to travel to my home in Belmont, NC to review our planned location for our Hot Tub and we discussed installation and everything I needed to know to proceed with the purchase. I bought a HotSpring Vanguard Tub and the delivery was seem-less and went very smoothly. My husband and I couldnt be happier. Ken remains consistently available to me as we work through our learning curve in balancing our water and any other questions that come to mind. A great product and responsive service makes a happy customer and that would be me.
