If I could use negative 5 stars this is it…Had an appointment at 12:15. She did not see me until 1:05. I always want to support Black women in business, but because of this, I will sadly think twice..I wanted a cut/ style. She highlighted it. Was not impressed . It had no dimensions. The color was very flat.She placed the unit on, looked terrible. By this time it’s nearing 6:00. I missed my anniversary dinner we had reservations for.She did not ask is this where you would like it placed. The unit was placed so low on forehead, was not what I’m used to, despite having thin edges. She kept making excuses of the type of lace. Is why it didn’t look right. By this time I’m fighting back tears .I had her remove the front and and when I got in the car, I glued it on. She didn’t even flat iron it or anything. She left it very unfinished.The hole experience was very disappointing. I was prepared to drop over 1,000 to buy multiple units.Think twice before going and buying. Plainly put just don’t go

This shop is amazing!!! I made an appointment for a wig repair thinking that I was going to leave my wig and I was going to come back another day pick it up, but when she said it would be ready the same day my mouth drop. Same-day custom wig service and everything came out beautiful. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back myself. I cant wait for the grand opening the more of her custom wigs displayed!

Chondra at Lux Glamorous Wigs is absolutely AMAZING!!! I went to her recently and asked her to wash and style a wig that I bought in Virginia. Not only did she take me the same day, but she also did an awesome job with my wig!!! I didnt realize until she explained it to me that my wig, which was specially made, was not cut properly! She cut it for me and it looked brand new!!! Chondra will continue to get my business, and I will also be going back to her to get another wig!

I cant say enough about Chondra!! She is so knowledgeable about her products. She was super helpful. I asked a ton of questions and she took her time with me. I would highly recommend this business if you are a pro at wearing wigs or if you a newbie like me. She also explained how to care for my wig and offers a service where I can drop it off and she will take care of it. She has a customer for life with me!! Chondra is absolutely amazing. Chondra is truly the definition of a stylist. I had an appointment with Chondra for Tuesday October 9, 2018. Chondra knew that I was having a hair emergency and took me a whole day early! She is prompt, communicates VERY well and breaks her back to get you done. Chondra, on her day off, made my wig unit and installed it w/ less than a 24 hour notice. The wig unit is flawless and service is 5+ stars. Chandra is highly recommended!

Chondra is truly AMAZING!!! She is personable and an exceptional artist. I walked in bald and walked out with a head full of wavy wet looking curls. If you didn’t know me you would swear it was my hair. You have to check out my transformation on her site. I am the caramel colored bald woman with the black mole over my left eye. I can’t wait to see what she does for me with her custom wig. I’m confident it will be nothing short of brilliant.

I recently lost all my hair and was not sure at all where to go or what I was doing. I took a gamble and ordered a wig online.... but it was so obviously fake looking I felt humiliated to wear it anywhere and preferred the chemo cap to the actual hair piece. It was pretty devastating to say the least. I called all over thinking that maybe if the bangs were at least fixed it would look better. I happened across her online and got me an appt for the next day. This girl is so helpful and so kind I absolutely adore her. She knew exactly what she was doing and not only fixed the bangs but put some actual life into it by adding some long choppy layers all over (which I mentioned in casual conversation was how my hair used to be before I lost it) and thinning it out where it was way too thick. She did it effortlessly and instinctively. I honestly cant believe what a huge difference it made with what she did, it looks so real now and I actually started crying with happiness once I got into the privacy of my car. I couldnt stop smiling the whole way back either... I got smiles and waves from people while running errands on the way home instead of the awkward stares I had before. I dont think she knows how much a small thing like this has boosted my self esteem and I am so happy I found her. I will gladly be making the hour long drive there again to have her fix up the other wig Ive bought and down the road I absolutely plan to have her help me get a wonderful wig selected and styled for my wedding in May.

Chondra’s craft is a gift from God!! When I first moved to the area I couldn’t find anyone who had the quality work I’m use to having from The RDU area. I called 39 people to get an hair unit and everyone gave prices that were double the market place because I’m new to the area. I called Chondra the 40th person and I explain to her my situation and she agreed to do my install for a reasonable price that same day. I went to the shop and I loved my experience and my hair I am a customer for life!!

On my grandmother’s 65th birthday, she was stood up by a local wig shop, which she thought had ruined her special day. I went on google and found Lux Glamorous Wigs & Company. I called the number and spoke with a lady named Chondra whom stated she was on vacation. I explained my story to her and immediately she came to our rescue. She allowed us to meet her in a neutral location to measure my grandmother’s head and had the wig ready in a matter of hours the same day. She then had us to come to her shop later that afternoon and gave us a great price on a custom human hair wig. My grandmother was able to make it on time for her birthday dinner which was a success. Everyone complimented her on how fabulous her hair looked. It was flawless. Chondra worked her tail off during her vacation just to please a stranger. That meant so much to us both. I finally found a great beautician that not only gives me great hairstyles and the look I want but Chondra also educates me on what products to use to maintain my hair and keep it healthy. Very professional and it is a relaxing, sophisticated atmosphere.

Chondra started doing my hair 3 years ago when I was pregnant.my hair was 3 different textures, she started treatments since I was natural and has made my hair grow.she is very professional as well as creative .I love how she explains how to maintain my hair in between my salon visits and what products to use.Chondra is a one stop shop her hair she sells is beautiful and reasonable.I also love she does make up although I dont really wear make up I trust her doing mine if I do need to wear it.she definitely knows her clients needs.She is the best I recommend her to everyone I know

Nice girl but overall the quality and service provided was not worth what I paid and I would not recommend to my friends/family.$$$- I paid $400 for hair and install. The hair quality and installation did not meet my expectations at all. I do not feel I got the value of what I paid.Hair Quality- the hair I purchased looked really bad at the ends (about 3-4 inches). The ends were bushy when she first installed it and it was supposedly brand new. I pointed this out and she had to put A LOT of product on the hair to make it look decent which was a red flag for me. The hair looked matted after just days of having it in and it lacked the ability to move because the ends were so terrible plus it smelled horrible like chemicals. I have gotten better quality hair from the beauty supply store for less money.Installation- when you get a sew-in you want it to lay flat. She braided my crown with braids so big that after the hair was sewn on it looked like a hat sitting on top of my head. On top of that she folded the tracks over instead of cutting them and layering which cased me to have big lumps that were very noticeable towards the top of my head. I had a closure that couldnt cover the buldges so tracks could be seen fairly easy. I had to have her cut the buldge in the back because it was so bad and hoped that the front would lay down after tying it down but it didnt work. Also she did not let me keep the rest of the hair that I paid for (not that I wanted it anyway).Make-up- I asked for a natural look which to most make-up artists means nude or fresh face. She said ok but halfway through the application I had to stop her because she was making me look like a drag queen with the heavy make up and colors. I had to tell her what colors to use instead and although it was much improved, it still ended up being too much for what I was going for.Professionalism- during my consultation she told me hair is ordered when you make your deposit and usually takes 2 weeks to arrive. I made my deposit a month in advance but on the day of my appointment I arrived only to be told my hair arrived that day and she missed it. She also left my closure at home. I wasted time and gas being on time for my appointment because she didnt even call to inform me of the situation. She also assumed that I could just come in the next day but I didnt make my appointment for that day in the first place because I had a prior engagement. I ended up having to come back late at night to get my hair done. She offered no discount or reconciliation for her inconsideration or hermistake.With improved techniques, better quality hair and better business practices this salon could be great but until then I will not be coming back.
