Nice facility and the general gym area seems to be kept pretty clean. Many times the wipes aren’t stocked so you have to look around for spray and wipes to wipe down equipment. Also it gets pretty packed during the evening until about 7 pm. I think the pool could be cleaner I’ve notice the same bandaid sitting at the bottom of the pool for 2 days. With so many people using the pool including children, I just get nervous on how often the pool is thoroughly cleaned.
What a beautiful place and environment. There is every piece of equipment and type of class that you could want. They have a daycare that is perfect for mamas who need a little break. This place has so much from pools, Jacuzzis, spas, saunas and even a cafe!
This club markets their pool space but please make note of the screenshot below. If you want to lap swim, you can only access lanes before 3:45 pm or after 7:45 pm since swim teams take priority. Several of us have complained- but no return calls or change in access. CLT has several year round swim teams - why is Lifetime in this space?
Integrated Therapy offers, Aqua Therapy both with indoor & outdoor pools at Life Time. Its been AMAZING ... They have spa services as well steam & sauna rooms..Ive lost 9lbs without using any gym equipment so can u imagine if I joined what the possibilities R.. Girls work it out ..Ask your doctor for a referral to INTEGRATED THERAPY ask for Ms. Lisa Jones take it slow work your way back into the gym andSTART FEELING AMAZING..Feeling good makes u look good too.. 😊😇👌
Rip off. They want to charge you $45 just to try the place out for a couple hours and another $15 to use the pool. When we were in Houston TX this was never a problem at the Lifetime fitness there, which was bigger and better. You have be kidding yourselves. We will put our money elsewhere.
Just cant say enough good things about this place! I came here 2.5 months ago with a painful and debilitating bilateral knee injury. Today I swam a mile. Everyone Ive encountered at LT is so incredibly nice, kind and helpful. The diversity here is amazing and everyone gets along because the common denominator is kindness and respect. Ive stayed at a few 5-star hotels and resorts and have never found anything nicer than what we have here. What a wonderful addition to our lives. I am so thankful and grateful for LT and its amazing staff and members. Hats off to the leadership team. This is my new forever home 💖
Played here for the first time the other day. Beautiful clay and indoor courts and phenomenal facilities right in the heart of south Charlotte. Also massive locker rooms, spa, gym, and their own line of supplements and protein powder
We were part of this gym for couple years, due to pandemic we did not use the facility, now that we wanted to activate our account, they increased the fee 200% while also trying to charge a fee for using the pool ($100 per person), in the past there was no fee! You are trying to make up for that one year from people so quickly, not knowing that keeping your members is key as they bring more people to you! Not Professional! We are joining another gym that is 100% less cost with high quality!
I absolutely love the outdoor pool area. They have two slides. It costs on average $130 a month for general membership to the club with indoor pools. The outdoor pool area is an additional $25 a month during the summer season. To add a member at $60 additional to the $130 with your membership. My favorite interior spa treat was the steamed eucalyptus room and the sauna in the womens facilities. They also provide mouthwash, tampons, blow dryers, shampoo and conditioner, towels, and body wash. Their lockers are great as you put your card in the back and set your own combination for each time. It really is a fantastic super gym.
I really like this gym, it’s extremely clean. They do enforce masks (unlike the previous comments state). Jamaal is the best class instructor, along with Jarrod. Michelle and Jenna are less enthusiastic with pretty dated playlists and are less engaging, so I would suggest taking classes with the other two if you have a hard time paying attention and being into the workout. The pool is gorgeous and the basketball courts are awesome too! You feel like you’re at a fun spa when you’re here.
Good place, super clean and they have awesome group fitness. But post pandemic it’s full of high school kids, crazy busy. Can’t get a proper workout in cause there’s just so many bodies.
Great location! I was traveling and dropped in. Wonderful experience.
A great large place to swim and exercise. With there own restaurants and the place looks clean, large place.
Great gym - awesome outside pool. Loving the experience so far!
Wow. My integrated therapy instructor partners here and is top of this category. Outdoor pool, h u g e waterplay adjacent & two indoor pools with special entry point accomodations around one pools perimeter both for tot swimming to elderly mobility. (graduated floor entry, ladders & steps) Step down jacuzzi! More quality, newness, convenience and cleanliness in ladies lockers. Minimally appointed; ladies locker had wide aisles between lockers and w/complementary towel use. Bldg age unknown, but every surface I see is new, shiny and clean.Cant imagine membership costs, but this got it all of place is a beauty in many ways!
Love all the equipment and people! No complaints here!
Friendly staff, super clean, and plenty of equipment!! Could not be happier
Great pool and workout equipment! Great facility!
We love it... Great pool, gym, tennis and super clean. Top gym in Charlotte.
Ive been a Lifetime member for some years in another northeastern state and visited this location while on vacation. I was told this club is an Opaque club and my membership is platinum, and I would be allow to have a one day guest pass....Well alrighty thenThe club was impressive and very nice and clean with different services and amenities that the club I go to dont have or offer. You will find a large selection of workout areas and machines with some that are ergonomically correct. They also had workout equipment like kettle bells, another area with the straps setup and free weights areas. Plus a section for tennis and a spa and cafe sectionA club this size is always nice at times the only problem being do they have the right people to maintain the quality customer service thats needed over time
Amazing facility friend and helpful staff. We came to this location from Canada and I have to honestly say I give the overall experience a 10/10. Also, the facility itself has been on point with COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS WITH AVAILABILITY OF MASKS AND DIGITAL TEMPERATURE-CHECKS.
Almost $200 a month abs they can’t fix WiFi, I have complained numerous times over last year and they do nothing.
Have always been happy with this location from the fitness side, classes are wonderful, club is top notch and personal trainers are amazing. They get 5 stars.Sadly, the two star review is being generous for their operations and customer service team. No communication by any kind after reaching out multiple times and multiple ways and multiple people. If you have an issue, do NOT count on them to handle it. They won’t even take the time to contact you back.
Has everything you would want in a gym + amenities of any type relating to fitness. A bit on the pricier side but worth it.
I was a guest. Staff was cordial and kind. No problems checking in. Very clean. Indoor courts are very nice to play on. Knees are not sore after two hours. I have also played in the outdoor clay courts and they are well maintained. Thinking about joining.
I know a lot of people will probably ask themselves...at least I did: $100+ Mo/ for a health club, lol what? Once you actually walk in and tour you wont ask yourself that anymore.
I have look your Alpha Workout schedule. Its absolutely not very good. One time a day not enough abs satisfies me. I want 3 day a week
This place has everything! Always kept clean and love the steam room
Although a little pricey, this executive lifetime gym is amazing. You really do get what you pay for here. For starters the locker rooms alone are very impressive. Plenty of space and lockers that lock with a code so you dont need to bring your own lock, beautiful showers with amazing water pressure and different shower heads to choose from, anything you could need like makeup removing towelettes, razors, lotion, good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash, deoderant, hair spray, and mouth wash just to name a few. There are plenty of blowdryers, mirrors, and counter space for everyone to use without having to wait. The steam rooms and jacuzzi that are accessible from the locker rooms are a great way to relax after a hard work out. The indoor tennis courts are beautifully set up. They also have a Cafe and even a draft beer bar. There are both indoor and out door pools and plenty of work out classes to choose from. The yoga room gives off a feeling of zen and did I mention there is both a hair salon, nail salon, and a massage center inside the building? The inside basketball court is large and there is a wide range of work out equipment and weights to choose from. They even have 2 Jacobs ladders which is something I have been looking for in other gyms but unable to find until I came here. Every cardio machine has a tv screen built into it with all the popular channels so you can watch whatever you want while working out. Unlike other gyms where you have to squint and strain your eyes to watch the community tvs hanging up high. There are plenty of comfortable couches and seating all through out the entire facility. You could literally spend your entire day at this place! My fiance got a membership here a couple months ago and I have been very hesitant to get a family membership due to the higher price, but after my experience yesterday I have decided to break and go ahead with a family membership! This gym is next level and I 100% recommend you come check it out👏
Absolutely the best fitness center- and run unbelievably professional! Simple the best!
Amenities are nice and some of the folks working here care about members... but my experience with management has been super disappointing. Their lack to enforce masks indoors between sets and equipment is absurd. After 4 face to face complaints, I’m done with this place. Planet Fitness has no trouble with a positive environment at a fraction of the price.
This gym has it all. Not too long of a wait on the lifting equipment. There is an outdoor pool that you can drink at as well.
I do like this gym and I think it’s fantastic how the hell figure out classes for all Kind ppl, my only concern today is February 9th 2021 around 6:00 pm I booked him to the gym to attend my class, and I realized I forgot my mask when I asked the gentleman on the front desk he said: that he only have mask for emergencies, and that he will not give me blue mask, then he looked at me and he change his mind because he said that I can sell it to you, he made me so uncomfortable ruin my day because of his rudeness, I walked away but I felt very disrespected and I think I paid enough for me and my daughters membership to have one time mask. I hope managers of this membership will have more training for those people are young and think they can talk rudely to somebody older than them.I’m not sure but I’m thinking to cancel my membership and go to another location.
If you dont join this gym, you are making a huge mistake. For the price and the facility, it cant be beat. Indoor and outdoor pools. Indoor and outdoor tennis courts. The workout area is crazy big. Classes for everyone!
Watch out for Unethical billing practices. I dropped the club in October 2019, I didn’t want to pay the 10 bucks to keep my membership on hold so I dropped completely. They sent me an email saying I could keep my membership on hold for free so I did. Guess what ten months later they started billing me a full membership again without notifying me.
Best luxury country club type gym
Try to get a membership and tryout but the guy from front desk told me without sales manager I cant. And Im just take nothing. Okay Ill go to another place
This place is just all around awesome.
Amazing! Its not a gym its an experience!
Very bad staff management. I was treated not fair and with out question my membership was terminated without reasonable cause. Tried reaching out to multiple managers, and was treated disrespectful.
This is simply the best gym in all of Charlotte and perhaps the best gym chain in the country. This specific Lifetime provides members with a large space filled with numerous equipment, a basketball gym, a steam room and sauna, and a resort-sized swimming pool among many other amenities. All of the classes I have attended are led by amazing instructors who push you hard and encourage you along the way. All the trainers I have worked with have been very great and continue to provide tips even outside of our training sessions. I must also point out the reception staff, especially Kyler, who are very friendly and swiftly respond to your questions and needs. Even the gyms food area provides amazing shakes and sandwiches that are restaurant quality. Overall, Lifetime provides the full experience that most people will need to stay in shape. The staff makes all the difference, and this staff is the best that you will find in any gym.
Nice amenities, but a bit pushy personal trainers to buy one-on-one trainings.
Huge facility, very clean, staff is very nice
Misty Jones is THE BEST TRAINER EVER!! She makes you own it. Whatever body results that you are hoping to achieve, she will ensure that you obtain it. You must put in the effort!! Shes an extreme pleasure and very inspiring. Her attitude is priceless. She never yells; her fitness lectures are very motivating. Just look at her....this woman is extremely fit. If you want to obtain her results, BOOK HER NOW!!
I used to be a member last year until I moved but went back yesterday as a non-member for a spa service and it is still the great gym I remembered. Hayley at LifeSpa gives on hell of a facial!
Love LTF surrender class, fitness staff are awesome, tennis program good if you can if you can afford all the incidentals!!
Great facility, great amenities, great classes, great instructors!
Coronavirus global pandemicSunday morning, gym is packed, no capacity requirements, hard to find a parking spot, America is leading covid cases in the world
Wow, really nice athletic club. The people were all really great.
Top notch offering 👌🏼
This place is absolutely amazing. Not only is the facility top notch, but the staff goes out of their way to be courteous and helpful.
The front desk Lady was one of the worst on 17 Sep 20. She called bunch of kids as creeps on the radio because they took a little longer in swimming pool. Unfriendly staff, and customers pay tons of money for this location.
For the price of membership there is not enough equipment ( weights) and too many personal trainers. This trainer hogged the prone hamstring curl equip ( which there is only one) while his client did bicep curls. He would not even let me rotate in. There are not enough lanes to swim for adults. They do alott certain times for kids to swim, but then they take several lanes for swim lessons during the busiest time of the day. It is a beautiful club but not enough space or equipment. The trainers and group classes take up so much space and equipment that it makes the club appear so small.
Cancellation of policy should be straight forward. I’m military, I moved and can’t walk in. I’m not sending snail mail to stop you from taking $30 a month out of my account. Verify my identity by your app or over the phone process like any other business. Just another way to squeeze money from people. Ruined everything I enjoyed about your gym.
Im not going back to the gym when they open for phase 3 or whatever. Better not take my money out of my account. I have no idea how to cancel my membership and Ive several emails but no response.
Worst management out of all the gyms I have ever been to. You would think paying 120 dollars a month they would have a professional staff working there... Forgot to wear a mask twice and got kicked out without warning. Managers are never there to enforce rules and instead they have kids working that have no respect for paying customers.
Great facility. Great group fitness and yoga classes. A lot of great people. The few snobby, mean are like a spice. They flavor the whole soup.
Thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the staff at this gym. I went to visit family for a few weeks, and since I am a member of Life Time Fairfax I called to see if I could use their facilities. They let me use their facility, and I have to admit the jealousy I had when I saw how nice the gym was compared to Life Time in Fairfax (which is a really nice gym). Employees are very attentive to their clients here. If I lived in Charlotte, I would most certainly pay the extra money to workout here. A+
Great fitness center. I enjoy the classes offered for cycle, yoga, and barbell. Top notch equipment and facilities. Kids love the pool.
Unbelievably difficult to reach. Theres no direct number, extension or selection for the front desk. I recently joined and mightve lost a valuable; called throughout the day (5 times before noon and after noon) to try to reach that specific dept. and also the Members/Billing dept., and nada. For such a nice gym, this is ridiculous.
Wonderful staff and facility for entire family.
LifeTime Fitness is the best place to go for a truly great fitness experience. The locker rooms are always nice and the staff is always working hard to make sure they always stay that way. I also love how personal the trainers can be. Making sure that you always feel and look your best while achieving your fitness goals. I especially love the classes included with the membership. It makes it all worth it! If no classes are fitting your schedule there are also plenty of fitness machines as well. You wont regret it!
Great, but expensive and lots of kinks to work out!!Amazing facility with fantastic amenities. Its everything you could ever want: gym, pool, spa, childcare restaurant and more all in one spot. But, since they just opened they certainly have a lot of kinks to work out. As other reviewers have said - the pool has been closed for days and no one seems to know why. This is a big deal when membership is SO expensive. Also, the free weights and boot camps are directly above the spa making it very noisy in the massage rooms during those classes. The kids academy is great, but it can take forever to check in/out on the crowded weekends and some of the staff in there comes across as being pretty unfriendly and/or inexperienced with kids. Overall, its a great place but since it costs SO much to be a member...yes, Im nit-picking everything. I do think most of the above will be improved or fixed, but, Id recommend not joining until March when (hopefully) the crowds die down. Today I had to wait in a line almost out the door just to scan my card to enter the club. Had to wait for bathroom in the locker room, etc. Its TOO popular for its own good...
This place opened with lot of expectations but is falling short. For two to three times the dues for other good quality fitness facilities, this place is no luxury experience even though the facility itself is wonderful. The group classes over weekend are extremely crowded and if you are slow to start your day during weekend, most classes will be over before lunch time. They offer lots of group classes which is great but you have to be retired to enjoy them given the unfriendly schedule for those who are not senior citizens. I was in a yoga class on Saturday where the lady to my left had her mat 6 inches away and the lady to my right was barely a foot away. Being a man in the middle, this made it a worst yoga class of my life. Outdoor tennis courts are still not open in spite of heavy marketing they do for tennis program. Once the fanfare dies, this is a poorly managed facility and you may be better off getting a separate gym and tennis club facility elsewhere. For same or less money, you may have much better experience. This facility has lot of potential if managed better and crowd is controlled. Members wont stick around if they see mad house, loud music, and frustrating experience. Please fix asap.
Great place for family and kids and lots of high quality free classes.Trainers are friendly and will be happy to answer your question. Staff is always happy and courteous. This place is always full of so energy that once you step inside working out becomes so much fun.One thing I would like them to improve on is the quality of razor blades in rest room, current ones arent something I would like to use.
Jesus this place is mind blowing what you get for the price . I love tennis and you have a ton of courts inside here . Staff is nice and place is meticulous. Great spot for people in this area
Great gym
I have decidedly to review it because I am surprised to find it 4 star rating when it’s an easy 5!!This place simply rocks and in my opinion it’s reasonably priced and the whole Charlotte area should pride itself in having a place like this!Thank you for all the great work
Great amenities, can’t wait to go back in Phase 3!
Took me 2 years to decide to start. I this is the best you can get in terms of fitness center. Highly recommend the place
Lifetime is very nice and all but if you have kids and are trying to relax by the pool it’s impossible, they have so many rules! You have to be in the pool with your kids unless they can swim 25 yards with no help even though the pool is 3 feet and even if your child has a life jacket on, your kids cannot go down the slide with a life jacket on and if your child needs assistance you have to have one of the life guards waiting for them at the bottom (mind you my child is 4 and tall enough for the slide) but they can’t always do it! Also if you have a baby you can’t put them in a baby float you have to be holding them the whole time and if your like me I would like to have my baby in some shade! And lastly I was there with 2 of my friends that have small babies and they left them in the day care for a little so they can relax by the pool and they both got called to get them because one was supposedly leaking through his diaper which he was not and the other one cries himself to sleep like most moms like for there babies to fall asleep it’s called self soothing! Honestly the amount of money you pay here is not worth it for all these rules! Not family friendly at all!!!
***UPDATE***Still love this place, but Ive got some gripes with the basketballs. There are way more girls size balls than necessary, and the full sized balls that are out there are always flat. I would venture to guess that of the 20 or so balls that are out for use on any given day, more than 1/2 of them are womens balls. I even asked a staff member to pump them up and was told they either dont have a pump, or couldnt find one. The balls they do have are coming apart at the seams, warped, and not even usable. For what Im paying, Im incredibly disappointed. Im going to start bringing my own ball from now on.Stellar, top notch facility, outstanding programs, helpful, knowledgeable staff, fantastic programs for kids, and most importantly, convenient! I was a member at the YMCA for the last 20+ years, and didnt think twice about moving myself and my children to Lifetime when they opened. My only gripe is that EVERYTHING is incredibly expensive. They have a full service spa, cafe, and bar, and you could easily spend several hundred dollars a month there on top of the nearly $200 membership fee (adult + 2 kids).
Nice pool, workouts, and spa.
Used to be great. It’s so crowded now and someone is always trying to sell me something. We joined because of the kids area. Kids classes are always full now-even when getting there and hour before the start time. We are often afraid to leave our 2.5 yo because of the overcrowded kids academy . One day when I was picking my older one up, I stood watching him while he finished playing for 5 mins. I saw no adult other than the people checking kids in and out. The pool area outside is great. It’s the only reason I’m sticking it out in hopes it might be a New Years crowd issue. (Written the last week of January)
Great place for the whole family! 😍
Ive been a member of the YMCA in Charlotte for many years. The standard of customer service and top notch facility at Life Time Athletic Charlotte are what convinced me to make a change. Cathy the sales rep was fantastic. I drive frequently for work and the free on boarding session with Luke, a level 2 certified personal trainer did wonders. The advanced stretching he showed me completely eliminated the back pain Ive had for the last 18 months! I highly recommend dropping by and taking the free tour!
Great gym. Brand new facility. Overly spread out, though. Basic equipment seems to be missing compared with other Lifetime gyms in the southeast. Free weight section seems a little small compared to the size of the rest of the gym (thankfully wasnt there during rush hour). They do have a great layout for squat racks/platforms. Tons and tons of trainers present when I was there. Locker rooms are where the gym shines. It was too cold to go outside so no comment there. 4 Stars, would recommend.
Very clean place and parking lot is almost always packed. Lots of things to do here. I went as a guest, but am a little disappointing that cardholders are only allowed a guest every 30 days. With the amount of money that members are paying, its a little ridiculous. Other than that, its a good gym.
Horrible management. It’s a no from me.
Great place. Unless You really are coming every day I am not sure if it’s worth it’s hundreds of dollars a month. I feel the pricing is off. But it’s practically a country club inside- just beautiful. It’s a work of art. The intire place has an amazing design and is Luxurious in every way and form. Great place to work out. Great staff. Well knowledgeable and great variety of people
Very Expensive, Buy we Decided to use It for The Pool, The Mens Showers and Bathrooms are always Filthy... The Pool Gets Very Busy and Turns Into a Chuckie Cheese of Little Kids Pissing Everywhere.. For $200 Per Month Should Be More Upscale and Private..
Awesome facilities and a very personable and professional team. Great fitness area with anything you can think of. Not only childcare, but great classes for them too (swim and tennis lessons cost extra, bit they do elsewhere too), Pools and hot tubs are great, clean locker rooms, steam room, sauna.
I have to say this is a pretty awesome place. Tons of equipment apps available to track workouts, reps and progress, great classes, awesome workout rooms, incredible kid concept facility with homework areas and help, health conscious restaurant, indoor/out pools, beautiful, country club style locker rooms, massages, SPA, over 20 tennis courts indoor and out and much more. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff, and tons of easy parking. And yes, you certainly pay for it. That said, if you use the facility enough, its worth it.
Came tonight with my wife and planned on adding her to my onix membership but apparently you are supposed to bring proof that you live in the same address. I had called earlier and they told me I just needed to be present to add her and made me waste my time going for nothing. The guy at the front desk was very rude and after telling him yeah we live together we are married he responded very sarcastically congratulations. If you pay more than 100 dollars a month for a membership the costumer service should be over the top not disrespectful and rude. Also the staff needs to be trained and informed so people dont go and waste their time. Awful experience.
Nice facility but cumbersome refund process for classes. Member of my family signed up for personal training in October 2018. Multi sessions fee was paid, but she never used it. After several attempts to call or send messages we have not received the refund on March 2019 even though we were told its refundable if not used. I have not pushed for it and I am sure if I spend the time and go there during week on business hours it will be resolved. Im frustrated with process and decided to let other people know about this experience.
This place has everything that you can want to meet your fitness needs. Theres indoor and outdoor tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, 2 indoor basketball courts, free weights, machines, standard and magnetic treadmills, yoga, pilates, and so much more. Plus the kids section to make it easy to drop your young ones off and go. Happy to finally have a onyx level LT here.
Clean and new and lots of options for me and the family. Love this place overall!
Overpriced and decided not to join after a tour. Our tour guide Alexa was great though
Yikes. Series of bad experiences at the salon, terribly managed, so many unforgivable mistakes. Cancelling appointments without calling to let me know, so I drove over an hour on my day off just to be told the stylist couldn’t make it, changed prices for the same service without informing me prior to service, these incidents don’t even scratch the surface before I finally lost my patience. I traveled there 3 times for ONE service bc they couldn’t get it together. First time they wanted to change the nature of my service, second time they didn’t have the materials and failed to inform me. These are separate incidences from not getting the phone call to let me know my appointment was cancelled. I’ve heard bad things about the rest of the facility from friends but never bothered to explore the rest of the facility based on my experiences at the salon.
New Gym with plenty of amenities and classes. Good kids section (kids under 11) which offers classes and camps for kids. Clean locker rooms. Very new modern machines. Good restaurant on site.
I was in town on business and spent the afternoon at this location. It’s brand new so everything is clean and the staff is friendly.I ate at the cafe which was fine, trained in the free weights section, and enjoyed the steam room.I did notice the tennis area, Pilates and yoga studios, and the massive pool and deck, but didn’t use those on this trip.If I lived in the area I’d definitely patronize.
I heard the facility is very nice, trying to sign up today. Didnt know we had to sign up online, which is fine. But the guy at the front desk was very weird, did not want to help at all and having the discriminated look on his face.
