Melanie has been a tremendous support as I attempt learning to be a pandemic homeschooling mom. I don’t think I’d be able to survive another year at home without her support. She has created interesting and challenging activities for both of my kids to deepen their understanding of literature, grammar, and spelling. Both of my kids love working with Ms. Melanie and have told their friends “She’s a lot of fun.” I highly recommend Ms. Melanie. She has a gift in her ability to do a unique dance with kids to keep them interested and excited while offering them a just right challenge.

Ms. Melanie is a great teacher. My twins have been taking lessons with her for over a year and a half now. We are fortunate to have found Ms. Melanie when my twins were bored in school. She can challenge them on so many different levels, and they are constantly engaged in the various topics they had worked on together. She is very flexible and knowledgeable in many different subjects. My twins had studied Greek Mythology, science, reading, and writing with Ms. Melanie. I am always impressed with her ability to use questions to lead my twins to the correct answer instead of telling them.

Melanie is an AMAZING teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable. Equally important, she takes the time to understand our goals and works with us to tailor the lessons to my daughters interests and learning style. It has been a great experience for us. Melanies classes are very interactive which keeps my daughter engaged throughout the sessions. In addition, Melanie encourages my daughter to ask questions and think outside the box. Throughout the whole process she is very positive and supportive. My daughter looks forward to her classes. Bottom line is that Melanie is wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her!!

Ms. Melanie has been a wonderful addition to our son’s educational experience. She designs the coursework to directly meet the needs of the individual student and considers their interests too. She is flexible, well-organized and communicates well. She loves her job and you can tell!

Ms. Melanie helped to foster a love for reading in my 9 years old son that has only continued to grow since working with her. She got him to expand his thinking and contribute to engaged conversations around the material they worked on together. I cant say enough good things about our experience with her. Grateful for her patience with my formerly reluctlant and now thriving reader!

My daughter has been receiving 1:1 tutoring with Melanie for the past few months. I was interested in enrichment because I wasn’t sure her school was challenging her enough. She is 7 and in 2nd grade.It has been an amazing experience. Melanie took the time to meet with me to better understand goals and to become familiar with my daughter’s learning style as wellAs her likes and dislikes. Melanie has taylored her instruction and my daughter LOVES it. She has been able to accelerate in reading, writing and spelling as well as learning how to begin to analyze the texts at a deeper level.All of the instruction also touches on other subject matter that is interesting and informative. For instance, they are currently using a really fun chapter book to practice reading, learn cause and effect and practice extending and writing more complex sentences all while studying germs and how a scientist experiments to better understand good versus bad germs and how to treat infections.I can not recommend Melanie highly enough. She is dependable, flexible, always checks in and goes above and beyond to make sure her student’s needs are met.

My daughters have been working with Mrs. Melanie for three months. I can’t believe the growth they’ve made! She is an essential part of our homeschool. She helped take my seven-year-old from being a beginning struggling reader to reading chapter books. She helped my 10-year-old who has ADHD and high functioning autism write a play she dreamt of writing for years. She tailors each lesson to the interest of the child and encourages them with positive direction and constructive guidance. We love her! I can’t recommend her more highly. She is also super easy to talk to and work with as a parent.
