I have had the pleasure of knowing John McGill for over thirty years and I can truly say that he is one of the most brilliant business advisers that I have ever known. John is honest and is an expert in tax law, accounting, wealth building and business management. He has given me great advice on how to run my business, save money, reduce taxes, negotiate transactions, legal advice and estate planning. I am so fortunate to have had John as my most trusted adviser!

The practice evaluation was fairly assessed. Up front, before the transition, the customer service was great. They made you feel like they were experts and that they would help you through the whole way. Half way through our transition, things got rocky. I was the buyer buying the practice from a senior doctor who would soon retire. It became clear which side the McGill and Hill team was on. They seemed biased towards the seller, who also has them handling his large investment account. When I tried to call to discuss the issues with Roger, they scheduled a call but then cancelled it. They didnt want to speak to me individually- they wanted a group call which would include the senior doctor. I found out later they took individual calls from seller.In the aftermath of all this, responses have been difficult to get. Customer service has been poor. There has been no follow up with me regarding the transition. This was an expensive service that I dont think was worth it. When I ended up getting my own attorney it appeared to cause quite a commotion with the McGill and Hill group. The legal department lacks customer service. We needed to add several amendments to make the contract fair for the buyer.Before using services from this company you should think twice or at least get your own attorney. I had previously recommended McGill and Hill to friends going through similar situations. I feel bad about doing that now. I would not recommend this company.

After my husbands death, they advised the partners at odds with what was written in the documents. They refused to speak to me and treated me and my grieving family as adversaries. Not sure how these guys are still in business. I inquired from them regarding few dental practices they have listed for sale and filled out NDAs that they sent me and then never heard back from them. I heard similar complaints from my colleagues that have tried to buy practices through them. I feel really bad for the sellers that are listing with them and cannot sell because these guys drop the ball.

We continue to be impressed with McGill’s helpfulness and support. They have saved us much time, aggravation and expense.
