Scott is great! He really takes his time with you to make sure that you understand the tax process and hes available for questions throughout the year. He also sends out helpful reminders for things like paying our estimated taxes for my husbands 1099 job and newsletters that give you updates about whats going on in the tax world. And the newsletters are actually really interesting and helpful dont let the fact that they are about taxes fool you!

Is it weird to love your CPA? Well....I must be weird.Im great at building and fixing homes but I suck with accounting...failed it while an undergrad at App State....and thats why I love Scott.Patient and willing to walk his clients through all the stupid, simple and/or complex questions they may have. When we moved to NC from New York we would send our taxes back to NY to be completed. When they were returned to us something did not seem correct, the numbers had us owing a lot of money. An acquaintance recommended Scott to us and offered he was very familiar with our particular profession. Upon meeting Scott and having him check our previous taxes he advised us to make some very specific changes to our tax submission, he also suggested we make quarterly payments. Unbeknownst to us the IRS was outside the door, however, Scott corrected the problems set us on the right track with proper documentation and submissions to the IRS. Scott is very good at explaining your taxes and patience in answering your questions. After all we enter his office prepared to endure something tedious and costly. We left with a new friend and a CPA who quelled our suffering without getting us angry or upset. Scott also sends email periodically to alert you to changing tax codes and timely information for making quarterly donations. I dont mind paying my fair share of taxes and Scotts professionalism assures us will not have to give more than the law allows. I would highly recommend Scott Boyar CPA with no reservations. I dread April 15th, but I trust Scott more.
