Ive seldom had an experience with a tradesman or contractor as good as the one I had with Bret of Circle City Lock and Key. I had a Bret re-key a Carrboro condo my spouse and I just bought, and the whole experience went even more smoothly than I expected it would. Bret showed up on time and replaced four lock cylinders and made three keys in a hour. He probably wouldve finished even faster had I not chatted with him while he worked. He was also easy to reach by email--thats how we set everything up--and his price was so reasonable that I added $20 to the bill. And, no, I didnt know Bret before, nor do I have any financial reason to say nice things about him--working with him really was just a good all-around experience. As is probably obvious, Id definitely recommend Circle City.

As part of a major renovation, we needed to replace all locks and door handles on a number of inside and outside doors. I called Circle City because they had been rated so highly, and was not disappointed. The owner responded to my inquiry promptly, and scheduled an appointment for the next few days. The person who did the work arrived on time, explained everything, went above and beyond because a number of locks needed unanticipated work, and stayed until all the work was completed to my satisfaction. I have a very positive impression of Circle City and would definitely use them again. I would give them high marks on being fair and being very good at what they do.

I would highly recommend Circle City Lock & Key. I lost my mailbox key and scheduled an appointment to have my box replaced that same day. The price was very reasonable, and the staff members I encountered were courteous and responsive. (Im actually still waiting to hear back from one of their competitors!) Ten minutes before the locksmith was scheduled to arrive, I found my key! I immediately called the locksmith, and he was very polite and professional despite my last-minute cancellation. Should I need assistance in the future, I will definitely use this company.

Circle City Lock & Key was excellent. They took the time to look over photos that I emailed of my ancient locks, responded quickly and thoroughly, and then came promptly with the correct parts to re-key the existing locks. They were fun and easy to work with, they were open and honest about money saving measures I could take on my own to secure my home (didnt try to up-sell me on anything), and they did a great job working with challenging old fixtures! Friendly, fast locksmith service. They made a transponder key for me. I called and they said a locksmith would be at my location within 20-30 minutes. He arrived right on time. My door lock was picked in fast order, no damage, a transponder key was coded and programmed. Worked perfectly. I will use keep this locksmiths number on hand and use him again.

I locked myself out so I called the closest local locksmith. They arrived under 25 minutes and 5 minutes later I was in. While they were here I also had them make me some extra keys. I had tried twice to have these same keys duplicated at the big name hardware stores but they did not work without much effort and jiggling of the lock. Circle City Locksmith laser cut the keys by the manufacturers original code now they work fantastic, as good as the original keys. Now that I know they are nearby I will use them again.

My house was broken into. Apparently, my old door lock was not that secure. The crooks appeared to have used a tool, such as, a large pipe wrench and simply twisted the whole door knob off my door. I was concerned for my familys safety. I called for help and they came over immediately to install a temporary high security lock to keep us safe overnight.The next evening, after I gave them the go-ahead, they returned with all new matching lock hardware and deadbolts (high security, of course) for all my exterior doors. The professional grade hardware was not cheap but you get what you pay for. As far as their locksmith installation rates they were very reasonable and less expensive than 2 other quotes I got earlier that morning. I was pleased with Circle Citys professionalism and quality work. I highly recommend them.

This locksmith came highly recommended to me. Jim, the locksmith who helped me, cut numerous type keys. I needed duplicates of house, mailbox and an old file cabinet keys. He had no problem making the different variety of keys and did not overcharge me. I too, would recommend this locksmith company for anyone in the Chapel Hill area.

Contacted this locksmith because a friend used them last year and had only good things to say. He came out and installed a peep hole in my front door at the required height I specified. Circle City Lock & Key Locksmith is a great company. They responded to my call promptly, they were polite and professional in my embarrassing locked out of my house situation. They opened up the backdoor without any damage and even made me three new keys on the spot with a great little machine in their van (to keep as a spare in case I have a repeat lockout situation...ha ha). We called Circle City Lock & Key to replace some door locks in our house based on very good reviews. However, he caused a lot of damage to the doors while installing the locks, and we ended up having to repair and repaint the doors after he was done.

I recently lost my spare keys to my car and a friend recommended Circle City because of their reliable and good quality work, so I decided to give them a try. I brought them the original to my car, in which I was told that there was a chip in it, so therefore it would cost me $65-100 to make. In the past I had it done at either Walmart or Lowes but this time I decided to go to Circle City. When I arrived, he took a look at my original and explained to me that there was no chip in the key. However, in the past those retailers told me that there was a chip in it and charged me close to $100 to make. I was shocked and astonished, he charged me only 5 dollars to make the key which saved me 60 bucks. This is a great locksmith business. I had Jason create copies of my worn down and visibly cracked car key because I thought it might break off in my ignition and leave me stranded. He gave good advice not only about my car key but also my house locks. I am extremely pleased with this company.

I accidentally left my keys in the ignition, locking myself outside my car with no other key with me. No one was able to retrieve my extra key at home so I had no other choice but to call a locksmith and luckily I called one that was both reasonably priced and arrived within 30 minutes. More expensive than what I was quoted by other locksmiths, but quoted prices dont mean much when youre waiting for hours, at night, with the cheaper companies first assuring me it wont be long and then, when questioned an hour or two later, admitting that they dont actually have any technicians to send until morning. I called Circle City and they were there very quickly and got me into the house.

I traveled all around to find a locksmith that could open my small safe. No one wanted to try opening it because they would probably have to destroy the locking mechanism rendering the safe useless. Circle City opened it without any problem. Great customer service also.

Not only did Circle City Lock and Key change the locks on my home for the best price in the area, they also noticed that my doorknob alignment was slightly off center so they corrected this for no charge. Called this business to check on price and availability. They were the best option in the Carrboro area to unlock my car for $65. Also, they cut off a bicycle lock I misplaced the key to for an additional $10.The other so-called local locksmith that I called first gave me a low-balled price of $35 and for 2 hours never showed up.Lesson learned go with the company with the best reputation first so you wont waste your time.

After asking around, they had the lowest prices. I attempted to have a keyless entry system installed, and they worked hard to try and figure out my problem. WOW! Boy was I impressed with this firm! I inserted my key into my lock and ended up breaking it so I went online to look for a locksmith that makes house calls. I read the 4 reviews posted for Circle City Lock & Key and decided they were the locksmiths for me and gave them a call. The gentleman who answered the phone said they would not be able to get to me until 4pm and are you ready for this...they showed up early! Ive never had workers show up early or even on time for that matter but these guys are super professional and courteous of their clients time and needs. I cant recommend them enough!!! Dont even bother wasting your time calling any other locksmith around....these guys are a class act!
