After water got into our basement we called a lot of companies regarding water and mold mitigation. Tom was one of the most knowledgeable and professional people weve spoken with. He gave us tremendous background on the issues and potential solutions. If you want someone who will give you a holistic approach to your issues, Tom is someone you need to talk to.

I was having a challenge with diagnosing and getting accurate feedback on a mold issue that I was having in my attic. After several professionals came out, I had the pleasure of finding Disaster Response and John LeVan. After looking throughout the attic space and walking me through his diagnosis, John provided a thorough remediation plan and timeline. What made the inspection most important was that John was prepared to help me take on the culprit of the mold which happened to be a previous contractors work. John and Disaster Response will continue to be a recommendation to my clients, colleagues and friends.

We did a project for Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. Heidi Briguglio, that had numerous life safety issues, but regardless of the lack of professionalism, we have still yet to be paid even one dollar towards $5290 worth of work. We were told by 3 other contractors on site this is how they operate and they find contractors then do not pay after engaging them for work, materials and manpower.PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM USING TOM MITCHELL OR HEIDI BRIGUGLIO or ANY of their companies. You will not be paid and have to do more than you are contracted for. Plus your employees or clients WILL HAVE ISSUES with safety and professionalism. Please see letter #1 below:RE: Mechanics Lien 112 E. Howell Ave Alexandria VAAugust 15, 2018Dear Mr. James Wallace,We are contacting you to notify you of the mechanics lien we have posted with the City of Alexandria Circuit Clerk, for the work we performed on the hardwood floors with Disaster Relief (Service First Team), Tom Mitchell and Heidi Briguglio. We had been in constant contact with Mrs. Briguglio throughout the month we were on the project. Notifying her of exposed wires that we had to work around and prep the building for our work. We were assured by Tom that we would be paid in full and add $2,000 to the original total for the extra work. It ended up being slightly more than that but we have received zero payments on this debt. When we contacted Service First Team, we were told they needed to be named on our Certificate of Insurance. We sent photos and awaited our check; two weeks went by with no response.I then sent the two of them an email notifying of the lien process and taking them to court for this work in your home. Then they tried to tell me they had to redo the work or something. That is completely untrue and we have videos, photos and witnesses that were working for other subs that we got their names and numbers to verify the damage and extensive work performed on this flooring.Furthermore, we had a guy get shocked at your house due to the exposed wires, 7 days after we sent photos and emails notifying Heidi and Tom of the LIFE SAFETY ISSUE. The employee was not hurt but rather startled with he was shocked and had a bee sting look to his back where it touched him. These photos we think we should pass along to you to deal with the contractor you have hired and get your home in proper order. If these Life Safety Issues were overlooked and corners cut we wouldnt want to not have passed along the information and photos. At this point, last week we filed the mechanics lien with the City of Alexandria on your house as we told Tom and Heidi we would do without payment. We are now contacting you, in hopes that you can get your contractor to pay for work performed and keep this lien and lawsuit from going any further. He has offered $1,000 on an outstanding balance of $5,790, which is completely unacceptable. Below is my contact information I wanted to get to you so that we could speak and see if you could help us in removing this mechanics lien from your property.1/17/19 Update:- We have chased Mr. Mitchell and his companies for over 6 months now. - We have a mechanics lien on his clients property and he has ye to address it.- We have our attorney filing proceedings against, Mr. Mitchell and his various companies.
