This is under new management and this new owner has to be the worst business person I’ve ever had experience in my entire life. They had my car for four days, no calls with estimate, parked my car over close to the circle k not even near the building. Was suppose to be in the shop being worked on. Owner was not apologetic basically the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. And that is after I spent $3000 in their establishment within the last 30 days

Came here based on the reviews and I was not let down at all. I had my brakes and struts done. Charlie was very professional and had great customer service. Kirk worked with me on the price and recommend a good financing company. I highly recommend this AAMCO location and I will be back!

Said they accepted my warranty said they could repair my vehicle. They took 5 hours just to call and tell me they dont even accept my warranty. Could not even send someone to pick me up to return to my vehicle resulting in 2 costly uber rides. Highly unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars I would

The people were friendly and social. They, as far as I can see, did a good job with my car and charged me a pretty good price for the services I got done to my vehicle. On the other hand, there were bugs lining the front of the lobby, in the lights overhead and the smell of smoke was almost intoxicating. No surprise here, but my car also smelled strong like cigarettes. Im not mad, but professionalism is just as important as being nice and social. Clean a little and stop smoking in peoples cars would be a nice start.

It’s really hard to find a good mechanic. I was new to the area and was having a hard time. I’m so glad I found Aamco. I’ve been here a couple times now. I bought an older car with lots of issues, but they laid out a list in order of what needed to be done, and told me that my car was still safely drive able. It’s so rare to find an honest mechanic who doesn’t try to scare you into get work done. In my experience, they even try to tell you that you need things you actually don’t. Not only do they give it to you straight, but I accidentally gave them an extra $100 (the bills were new and those things are freakin sticky) anyway, after I left they called and told me that I had given them an extra $100. So glad I found them, they have a customer for life.

They are incompetent. I dont mean that as an insult, just a statement of fact. You would not continue to return to a doctor who could not properly diagnose your symptoms because they have proven themselves incompetent to practice medicine. Likewise, this mechanic is incompetent to work on cars. I needed my A/C fixed on a 2005 Mazda 3. Three visits and $1500 later, the A/C still does not work. Its not even the amount of money I paid, although it does seem excessive. Its the fact they cant solve the problem. I dont doubt that AAMCO replaced parts and put in labor, Im not accusing them of fraud. They just replaced parts that werent relevant to the problem and labored for nothing. In my estimation they know as much about cars as I do, which is nothing. Please, take my words seriously as a dispassionate customer offering you an honest review of the services I received: spend your hard earned money elsewhere at a mechanic that actually knows something about cars. Whatever this business does, they do not fix cars.(It is also interesting that you cannot find this business listed with the Better Business Bureau. I wonder why they choose not to participate?)

These guys were great. Rebuilt the transmission in my H2 a few weeks ago. Went in today for my checkup. Decided to have my oil changed as well. They were 800 - $1000 under my normal repair shop so went to them for transmission. They were honest and seem trustworthy which is tough to find. Will be going to them for future repairs. These guys are amazing! They truly care about their customers. They do exceptional work and know what they are doing. If you want someone to take care of your vehicles and treat you with honesty and respect they are the shop for you. I have not seen a mechanic shop like this in a long time, and as long as this shop is open I will not take my vehicles to another mechanic.

I have waited about 12 months or so to write this review, why you ask. Well I took my FJ cruiser there because I had a transmission leak lost all my fluid due to a cracked hose from my radiator( my lose battery caused). It happened as I pulled into my work. I didnt drive it at all. I Fixed the hose, put in new transmission fluid. Than drive home. I took it here just to make sure nothing was wrong with it. After 30 minutes ofdiagnosis they told me I needed a new transmission. Tried to get me to fill out paperwork for a $6500 high interest loan right there. They tried to convince me my tourqe converter was shattered. I didnt buy it. Seemed fishy. Since I drove it over 70 miles since the problem. Before they looked at it. 12 months and 25,000 miles later it still drives perfect. If you have 7k just to throw away than by all means go to this place. And I also had it checked out by another shop. Nothing wrong with it

Being new here from Utah to Arizona and having a huge oil leak.I was recommended to go to AAMCO on Chandler Blvd. Not knowing a lot about car repairs and being a woman, I was afraid of being taken advantage of. Don greeted me and told me that he would have his best mechanic look at my car as soon as possible. They called me later that afternoon and told me the issue and approximate cost. I felt very good that they were honest with me and very considerate. They got me to and from the shop with left drivers. They explained what service they did on my car and made sure I understood everything. If I could give them a 10 star rating, I would. Thank you Lori Bosch

Ive been dealing with AAMCO for 2 years now and its been a great experience! The staff genuinely cares about their customers and car services being provided. Ive been in some financial situations where I had no idea how I would be getting my car fixed (nothing too major), but thanks to AAMCO having the Car Care One plan, I was stress and worry free. I totally trust the manager Ben and his staff with my car, because the entire problems that existed were completely fixed. THANKS SO MUCH AAMCO!

These guys deserve 5 stars hands down, I was given an estimation of 98 dollars to replace a missing screw so my car would pass emissions, as soon as I called the manager Don said come on in and well take care of you, I was in and out in probably 10 min good and ready to go and they didnt charge me a thing. It was a fight for months to get my transmission fixed. On a trip out of state the transmission stopped again abandoning me and my friends. This place has caused me to loose out on income and caused me anguish. I suggest not to use this location.

Had my scion IQ repaired here after i took it to the dealership and wanted to charge me rediculous amount just to diagnose my vehicle. Here i received Awesome service very friendly and profesional people!! technician explained the situation with my car and he seemed very honest they got my car running in no time and 60 percent less than what the dealership would of charge me thanks guys keep doing a great job!!

Simply put, AVOID AAMCO at all costs. Do your homework and dont make the same mistake I and so many others have made. AAMCO has had terrible reviews since they were very first opened many years ago. Dont believe me? Check with the BBB.I took my truck to them after my transmission wouldnt shift into overdrive. They proceeded to charge me over $2,000 to rebuild the transmission, only for me to drive away and nothing had been fixed. On top of that, I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt to fix the truck, and every single time they found another $300-1000 part that would fix the problem. After over $4,000 in charges, I left town and the truck broke down 40 miles away. They actually managed to do more damage to the vehicle than what I took it in with. So I called them and told them to come get it and I had my son drive from another state to come pick up me and my things.I had financed a good portion of the work they had done, so gladly, they will be eating it on some of their money on this deal. Unfortunately, I am now out of a vehicle thanks to them.Do NOT take your vehicle to AAMCO. You would be better off giving your teenage neighborhood kid the chance to fix it in his folks driveway. Probably a better chance of the problem actually being fixed.The mechanics and management at this location are particularly incompetent and I urge you not to waste your time here. I would have rated this NO stars if that was an option.

I had my truck AC fixed here since it was the middle of July heat. They were the first to be available. My truck was fine then 3 weeks later my AC was warm then AC was blowing hot air. I brought it back it..took awhile to schedule in again. They fixed it then as soon as I left the shop. It broke down. Now Im driving my truck with cold then warm and hot. I was promised they would look at it on a Monday 9/4. They would contact me to pick it up. NOTHING! 3 days they didnt bother to call me after I spend a lot of $$ on this repair. I called them of course the hesitation. Quite an inconvenience

If i could give them a zero i would! Ed kirk is a joke! F250 (red in color) transmission was rebuilt, 12k miles later codes and trans slipping, took it to chandler aamco and was told torque converter was bad. They fixed, but a week later same codes same slipping issues! Kirk then told one of my guys hes not going to fix it hes done with it. Then my guy argueed with him and kirk threw his hands up and said what are you going to do! This guy is a joke and a scammer! Who does a transmission rebuild with out replacing the transmission oil cooler? The lines were leaking and they didnt replace them either! No wonder the torque converter failed!

I had a very nice experience at this shop about 6 months ago and the general manager was very helpful in getting me on the road quickly.

Don was not courteous with his mannerisms as i was attempting to explain my transmission issue to him. He sent me on my way, while another mechanic shop easily fixed the issue. Will not return to this location.

They are not afraid to answer questions or recommend services even if they are not needed. A bit pricey, but their structure of pricing comes with a warranty.

I recently took my car in because it was hesitating when I would first accelerate. I chose AAMCO because I used them before and they finance repairs. I talked to Phil and he was very friendly, he didnt talk down to me and made me feel like he really cared. I was told that I needed my transmission rebuilt and he quoted me a price. Well, after a day of having my car, I got a call stating they needed to replace several things in my car and the price just kept going up. They had my car for over a week and everyday there was something else that needed to be replaced. Yes, I was told that they waived some things and didnt charge for others, but when I got my car it was worse than when I took it in. Its now making a loud banging noise when I accelerate, which was not happening before. The car still hesitates when driving and when I put it in reverse it jerks. I immediately turned around and took it back and explained what was happening. Phil went back into the shop, came back out and told me that my car was making those noises when I brought it in. That is a total lie. My car was not making any noises. I am so disappointed. I trusted AAMCO to fix my car and now I cant drive it at all. Its frustrating because you have no control over what happens when taking your vehicle to get fixed. I feel taken advantage of.

We took our rv to this AAMCO and they didnt inform us they dont have facilities at this AAMCO to fix it so then they called and preceded to say they would have to drive it to another AAMCO, when we said we would just pick it up and drive it ourselves they said no that it would be better for them to, in the process the tire blew(which the told us we arent sure they didnt hit something) but it did $3000 in damage to our RV then they told us that we had to have a whole new rebuild for $3800. They would not take any responsibility for the damage and then after they fixed the transmission supposedly it still was slipping when we put it in reverse, this was the reason we took it in the first place. Please save yourself money and dont go to this AAMCO at all, I wish we would have known before we did

I brought my vehicle to Aamco for a second opinion because I wasnt feeling confident about the first opinion and not only did Aamco diagnose some of the same things wrong with my vehicle, they found more and my final bill was more than $400 LESS! And the icing on the cake...Aamco offers LYFT service for free when you drop your vehicle off! That is so convenient, smart, and incredible business sense. Thank you Don!

Called to get a ballpark figure on a rebuild price or a price on an outright remanufactured transmission. Instead of being helpful he insisted they had to take my transmission apart to see what exactly the problem was. I have a vehicle that has very specific and well known issues to anyone who knows transmissions. I explained it was the 3rd gear slipping and if he couldnt give me a price on rebuild that I needed a price on a remanufactured transmission. He continued to talk to me as if I had no clue how a transmission worked. I assured him I know transmissions but just dont want to spend the time on it and I was simply looking for ballpark figures. He kept on insisting that I purchase their service that would check the transmission for issues etc. Overall the phone call was horribly unprofessional and rude. I finally said I would just go elsewhere and he began to laugh at me then hung up. Read the rest of the reviews and you can see this tends to be a trend when dealing with these guys.

I already knew that I needed a new clutch (disk, plate, bearing). I know cars and had already had my car inspected. Clutch kits for my car are SUPER easy to find. They told me to bring my car in for an inspection, that they could do it right away. It took them ONE WHOLE DAY to inspect my transmission, after I ALREADY TOLD THEM IT HAD BEEN INSPECTED AND NEEDED A NEW CLUTCH. Then it takes them another day to find the clutch kit and install it. This is a 7 hour job, it says so in the service manual. These guys are obviously sitting around watching TV instead of doing their jobs. Dont go here unless you want you car to be on the rack for days longer than it needs to be.

I thought I had transmission problems with my 2003 GMC Envoy. I took it to the dealership and they changed my transmission oil. There was no improvment, at times my vehicle would drive in low gear. I took it to Aamco in Chandler, AZ, thinking I might need my transmission worked on. They did a diagnostic check and found it was a sensor and replaced it. My vehicle runs well. Aamco only fixed what needed to be fixed at a fraction of the cost of a rebuilt trans. Excellent service.
